In today's video, I analyzed how Namibia could easily become the Dubai of Africa by adapting Dubai’s ambitious tourism strategy to attract 25million people a year by 2025.
I spent 3 weeks in Namibia, visiting its coast city, the north, and the City’s capital, I never for once thought I was in Africa, from a huge expanse of deserts, some of the world's largest sand dunes, canyons, expansive water fronts, a fast-growing city, and Diverse Culture, I think Namibia has the closest shot at becoming the Dubai of Africa.

Well researched and well-thought content. As well, this was well presented and CRAFTED. I totally agree with you about the advertisement. It doesn't matter how great a product is nobody will know about it if it's not advertised. Interesting you use the example of Rwanda. That reminds me of the number of Emirate ads in sports. Emirate sponsors as much as 7 top football clubs around the world. That's sport alone. Their ad is AGGRESSIVE. Bro, you've done a lot of free ads for Namibia. Great and amazing analysis. Surely, there is great potential for Nambia. With the right strategies, they can become one of the top tourist destinations in the world. Continue the good work brother.

I agree with you!! Namibia can very well become the "Dubai of Africa". Actually, I am seeing that several places across the continent can become Africa's own version of popular sites we are all aware of.. even here in America! I see Africa being a powerhouse! And you better believe I am investing in the motherland!

Very amazing video Stephen ! There’s just one more thing that you missed out on …. You see , no country in the world would succeed in tourism if they don’t make it easy to get into their country . Namibia strongly needs to revise its immigration policies both for short term visits and long term visits . This is more of a continent wide issue though , many African countries have visa policies that are so backwards you’d think the year is 1943 . If Namibia doesn’t make its shores easy to get into by Africans and eventually the world at large , people will continue to ignore it.

@@StevenNdukwu Be very careful for what you wish for, relaxing the visa laws, also will make it easier for foreigners specifically non-Africans or other nationalities to take control of your country. It's not only Europeans or Americans you have to worry about China also is a big threat. They might be the biggest threat.

There are interesting projects ongoing at coast like unique PRESIDENT,S LINKS GOLF ESTATE south west of Walvis Bay. Servicing of the area started already. Its the 3rd unique desert lifestyle estate in the world. There will be a 5 star hotel Avani and many convenience outlets of which Starbucks is one of them as I perused. I know a popular international golfer already bought an erf there 2months ago. Developers are Namibian businessmen based in Walvis Bay. Moreover, there is another ultra high rise development coming before long beach about 5km from Swakopmund. It's called DESERT ROSE INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION CENTRE. The investors got municipal approval already and were only waiting for proclamation establishing the said township as belonging to Walvis Bay. Its at an advanced stage. If u Google "DESERT ROSE PROJECT NAMIBIA" U WILL SEE THE ARCHITECT, S IMPRESSION. I know the project architect is Bryanard Kotze architects of Walvis Bay. He is always updating his followers and clients on how far his projects are and I happen to be his client as well that's why I know what's cooking or coming on that side as he is one of the best architect in Namibia. I follow Yr channel and know u in states for now.

I have been working in the Namibian Tourism industry for around 25 years and don't fully agree on this report though beautifully done. Number 1 Namibias tourism numbers plummeted in 2020 from 1681336 million in 2019 to a low number due to Covid not because it's not marketed properly (2020 was going to exceed the 1.6 milk of 2019 substantially) the yearly grow was sitting at around 2.5% in 2019. Namibia has conservative inbeded in its constitution by the way the only country in the world that has that. Namibia is not interested in mass tourism it will destroy much of the conservation efforts and areas. The reason people can enjoy Namibia in its original state is due to no mass tourism. 3. Sand marketing is done extensively in Europe and America's yes it could be done more in Africa but one of the largest traveling demographic comes from Southern Africa (South Africa, Botswana, Angola) Why should Namibia create artifical safari Parks if we have the Natural Parks right outside your door. Does that make sense. There is nothing as thrilling as going on Safari not knowing what you are going to see that day, how boring an artificial zoo (call it Safari Park). To watch Animals in their most natural environment can not be beaten by a zoo visit. Dubai has imported a lot of animals which are not from Dubai (poor Animals). To conclude Namibia Tourism is growing at the right rate taking a lot of factors into consideration. Covid put us on our knees but we are standing again and next time around Namibias tourism numbers Wil be at 2 mill (almost as high as the Namibian population). In the end you need to ask yourself is money worth destroying a very fragile environment and by so doing destroying what made Namibia the attraction to start off with?

    • @aillylerch8046
      @aillylerch8046 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

And by the way people come to Namibia to find peace and tranquility to get away from their busy hussles and bussles. Namibia is knows for its wide open spaces, spaces ro breath and find yourself again not possible with 5 mill tourist around..

@@aillylerch8046 I agree with you my fellow Namibian, I stay in a touristic small town in Kunene region... tourist are growing rapidly especially in Kunene region, Our country is fine the way it is... Rwanda and Dubai spend millions in advertising their countries but we barely spend millions tourism but tourists keep on coming..
Our tourist are mostly from European countries and South Africa.. they appreciate the way we conserve our nature... no were in the world would you find such freedom driving around the whole country with beautiful nice paved roads no traffic jam, no big factories to destroy the environment... no one to disturb you....
Welcome to Namibia 🇳🇦, where desert meet the ocean, vast open space...
Brother I thank you for show casing our country but we value nature than money.. our constitution is protecting our environment... if it’s natural it stays that way no one will change it... Namib Desert is full of Diamonds but there are no mines there...

Let's all agree that if the number of tourism climbs massively in your country. It will give more rooms for investment and thereby creating jobs for everyone.
In this video my brother here is just trying to promote you guys(which am not sure is a paid promotion) due to the incredible views and which we can all agree that you have more potentials to be no1 tourist destination compare to your counterparts!

Once again, Steven well done for this video clip about Namibia, more especially comparing our geographical features to those of Dubai and the potential that Namibia has to be the Dubai of Africa. I trust that our leaders will learn from this for a better Namibia in future, but we are heading there now, give us 10 years from now you will see a different world in Africa represented in Namibia. As I said it before to my fellow Africans visit Namibia first before you go to Dubai, in Namibia we are very natural just exactly what God has made it to be. Those artificial parks you see in Dubai's desert were taken from Africa, God never created them there. Come to Namibia and see God's wonders.

What a phenomenal video😃👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾!!! I enjoyed every moment of it! Please create more like this one. African tourism boards should see you as an asset. I didn't even know about Sharjah national park. Sadly most African countries don't see the value of having national carriers. It's surprising how affordable it is to fly around Europe yet it's so expensive to travel within the African region. That is why a lot of Africans don't travel, because it is expensive.

Steven really has a genuine love for Namibia and wants her to succeed in attracting a lot of tourists annually. It's really a good one.
It was in 2021 through a content creator like Steven that I knew about the beauty of Namibia. This shows that the marketing of their tourism potentials is terribly poor.
I believe partnering with content creators will be cost-effective in achieving that purpose, but should not be limited to that. Namibian tourism board should research and discover other cost-effective ways to market the country. I'll give them one secret, they should partner with some content creators around the world like Steven, because it'll be very effective and extremely cheap. The reason is that, so many people follow internet content creators, watch their videos so much these days and discover new things through them.
