freshers who have pg in hand will get 6lpa ...nowadays people with engineering degree and right skill (dsa,fullstack etc) are geting near to 6.. so yes it is possible to get this much
These things are just bull shit....Hr's always ask your current ctc and even we try to act smarter by saying these crammed words, hr gets annoyed many a timesa and they boldly says either tell us or take the offer at the salary we are giving or leave it
hr never tells you real figures. thats y they are hr. they always keeps you in dark unless you prove yourself. remember you have to perform really well in technical rounds first to demand in hr round.
If you ever speak like this to interviewer they only say okay then you can check with the recruiter who pays that amount which you said. Basically salary provided by a company is purely based on their growth and limit that they can pay

HR doesn't have such authority to make instant decisions if the candidate is asking beyond the company's budget.
