The Outer Worlds OP build Before Leaving Emerald Vale Supernova Difficulty

- A step by step guide on creating an overpowered early Long guns/Science based character build in the outer worlds on supernova difficulty.
This was all done before leaving the Emerald Vale and I have found sets you up very well for progressing further with supernova difficulty.
This was complete on the most recent version of The Outer Worlds.

This is an excellent guide. I never paid attention to how great the plasma rifle is at the beginning, especially converted to shock.

I was honestly kind of nervous about starting a supernova run for the platinum, but after following your video to an extent, it almost feels easier/more natural than normal mode. Appreciate the help starting off!

Fevvy awesome! I’ll be sure to check it out. I’m going to try to continue on my own since it seems pretty straight forward now. Loot everything, sell things for cash, keep your companions passive, buy water, tinker your weapons, etc
@@Mikeypurp Pretty much man, Goodluck! Supernova really is how the game is meant to be played and it's the most fun.
A way more decent guide to start this mode rather than all the rest companion obsessed guides with vague tips

Edit: i tried this build on my supernova run and platinumed the game i put companions into passive mode so they dont get themselves killed > companions are useless on this build just put attributes in long gun and science and tinker your guns and armor alot bring companions as a bait if you wish and in the final area when you reach the hope re distribute your skills so you can skip the final boss fight depending on the which side you chose

Interesting, I had a similar build but I went the solo route. (and it was my blind play through). My next build I'm gonna just be a stealth/speech master
Taking the perk that increases your damage when you are solo is actually a really good strategy, and super fun on a combat focused character!
I had a supernova playthrough going a few years ago and I blew through it so quick but didn’t finish it for some reason I decided to start a new run and now I’m struggling so thank you for the guide

Really being op at the end was secondary for me, I enjoyed the condensed zone from the game and hope you do another for your playthrough of monarch etc, overpowered or not. I liked your pace and humour.

Is the Lone Ranger gun that important? How long does that gun carry before it needs to be replaced? For this run I'd rather my character not commit cold blooded murder for a weapon that can be easily replaced soon after because I already did a psychopath run.
Not really, it's only really useful in Emerald Vale, does help a little though
Then you should make a note of it when doing things like murdering characters for equipment is entirely optional & not worth it for people who care at all about role playing, so that it isn't taken at face value as something that needs to be done. This is a guide after all.

That sounds like just bad luck. Sometimes the luck is the other way - in a recent play of Edgewater on Hard, I got two May-2-Ray mods (!!!) from treasure boxes before I got to Groundbreaker

@@Itskingcodone It's just slightly south west of the deserters camp. You should come across it on the way, then you just lockpick the door and the plasma rifle will be right there on the bed.

There is a hammer in the gen store,grab it for Parvati it is so good it knockbacks,and if you out shock it can stun too.

Ok it's frustrating me because I've got 21 persuade and I don't even see the persuade option at all I don't even know what I did wrong and I'm literally copying this exact build so I definitely don't have 54 intimidate
I really like this video and the way you pause at key points. How do you deal with Sleep Deprivation tho? You can only sleep on the ship and your quarters don't unlock until you have the power module. Whoops, nevermind - I think the answer just came to me. There's another bed in the mechanics bay on the ship, right? LOL, I did it the hard way... Doh!
I am glad you enjoyed it, if you need sleep you can sleep in the cargo bay, there is a bed just behind the work bench on your ship

Not sure if it spawns all the time but I found a plasma rifle earlier underneath the landing pad with a giant sprat. Not sure if you would want to try for it early on Supernova however.

One question why swap the plasma rifle to shock if you’re switching the hunting rifle to plasma?
Shock makes it very easy to take out the robots you fight at the geothermal plant, Plasma deals the best overall damage to all types of enemies. So I was using the hunting rifle with plasma to deal more damage while sniping and the shock to deal with the enemies in the geothermal plant. Overall if you wanted you could just stick with plasma the whole way and would be fine. I hope this heaps

You really can murder everything with just plasma. I just exterminate every lifeform on Edgewater with plasma rifle because they pissed me off. I haven't try changing it to corrosive though.
i never saw the point of wearing light or medium armor in this game the skill bonuses dont realy matter much since companions can do the same and the -5 to stealth skills with most heavy armor isnt that bad and you move the same in all armors
Sa after leaving emerald vale what weapon should you use???
Either a Dead-Eye Assault Rifle or continue using the Plasma Rifle and just tinkering it up until you get a Plasma Carbine. There is a Dead-Eye Assault Rifle that you can steal from one of the shops on the ground breaker, you just have to stand behind her and you can get it without being caught. Hope this heaps you out

Do enough quests for Sublight and you can buy their sniper rifle (extra crit damage) and at a discount by the time it unlocks

where did you find mag-2-power?
hey thanks for checking out the video, You can find it in any containers around edgewater, but I believe I got this one by breaking down weapons. They are pretty common mods, so if you haven't got one by the completion of edgewater you would have to be extremely unlucky. Make sure to also check vendors and vending machines as well because they can also stock mods. I hope this answers your question.

@@Fevvy I think the one time I didn't get a Mag-2-Power mod before I left Edgewater, I got two Mag-2-Ray mods instead (!!!) insane
So does those guns hold up the entire game or do you switch over to plasma gun 2?
Switch over to the plasma carbine and then plasma rifle 2. you also want to grab the deadeye assault rifle and deadeye assault rifle two respectably. Always upgrade to the mark 2 version as its cheaper to tinker up.

Hey man thank you! You want to focus on long guns and science as these will boost your damage. After 100 in both of them you can really focus on whatever, but I normally do speech skills so I can pass the final skill checks in the last mission up to you though.

@@Fevvy Speaking of final skill checks, I'm about to start my Supernova run and I'm hesitant to move away from the build I've known for my entire first playthrough, which was Very High charm, High intelligence, and Good perception. I liked the charm for the persuade and leadership bonuses as well as one particular dialog option with Sophia at the end, otherwise I'd need points in melee weapons I think. I suppose I could settle for High charm and just use some booze to boost to Very High for the stat check. What do you think?

My campion died in first round of combat against the thugs
Then do only 6 points of damage per shot then if not well tested etc there special skill doesn't work
fallout 4 survivor is much better by far

Kill everybody before they kill you basically. Honestly you probably don't even need to take her around, solo is stronger as you progress anyway
