Dr Berg, you're such a blessing.
I received my CRP blood test today And my CRP is a bit high. After listening to you I felt so much better, because you only explained how to reverse it, but you also give the types of foods a person can eat to reduce the inflammation, and also the supplements.
I am following your keto regime and am beginning to see results , its slow, but am sure I'll get the results I aim for eventually.
I live in the UK,am a retired nurse. I love your videos, I folliw most of the them , they're very informative, straight forward and on point. Just awesome !!!. Thank you sir.

Hi Dr. Berg. I recently had a CRP test and it had shot through the roof compared to previous tests. Thinking about what haf changed, and going on a hunch, I found several studies on Pubmed which corelated high CRP and sleep deprivation. Take a look at that and you may want to discuss that in future discussions on lowering CRP :) :)

I needed to know this because the information doctors give you is confuse. My CRP (PCR in spanish) is very high (21.2 of a 1 to 3 Range) and the two doctors I visit said I have to loose 60 pounds. So one of them gave me a diet of five meals a day, sometimes with sandwich and a glass of juice for dinner. A week ago I found one of your videos and I'm on the third day of fasting to loose wait but not knowing it will low my crp levels too. So thanks a lot for the video.

I know that this is an old comment but weight loss is known to alter every single blood marker so you shouldn't pay attention to them while losing weight (or testing them at all). Instead you should compare the initial values and after weight has being stable for some time..

    Thank you Dr Berg!
For approximately a year and a half now...after finding out my CRP was 3.6 (I hear it should be at 1) I began eating approximately 9 cups of leafy greens and Raw vegetables a day. I exercise 4 to 6 times a week keeping my heart rate at 125 for 25 minutes, My proteins are wild caught salmon grass fed beef.. hormone free free range chicken. Due to a family history of Alzheimer’s & heart disease (Father died at age 44 heart disease ) I dropped all gluten and most starches and sugar a year and a half ago. I intermittent fast...and do from time to time fall into ketosis. I’m 60 years of age (female) and I do not carry Apoe4 gene. Neither did my mother carry the gene for Alzheimer’s, she went on to get Alzheimer’s disease at age 67. Her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at age 67 as well. (I’m thinking a toxin that passed the blood brain barrier...possibly through the placenta while my mom was in utero. 🤷‍♀️
I take to tumeric daily in my drinks with water and apple cider vinegar. I take sublingual vitamin D3 with K2 every day , 1400 mg of vitamin C liposomal. CoQ10 400 mg a day. My morning blood glucose is usually in the lower 80s. I just re-tested my CRP and it is now 6.59. Darn...I will test again in another few months I’m not sure what to do to see if I can change the outcome of that score. I had pulled back on my omega threes lately (chitchat out on the Internet talking about trying to get omega-3‘s naturally instead of through supplements) and will increase the CoQ10. I will also add the stinging nettle.
Love love love your videos!!!!!! Thank you soooo much! I’ll watch your commercials and give you a thumbs up... I’ve already subscribed!

To avoid Alzheimer's & Dementia there are lots of things Seniors need to do/ take , consume 3/4 cup mushrooms weekly, stop eating at 8 PM and then after 8 AM (12 hours break so brain can be cleaned of plaque and body isn't involved with digestion), get 8 hours sleep , sprinkle shelled hemp hearts (health food store, like Whole Foods) over breakfast cereal or toast & jam, ground flaxseed, vitamin B12 along with vegetable juice to name a few.

Good info. Mine always comes back elevated and I have been gluten free for 7 years and consume very little sugar and do not snack. Did not know about the Vitamin C part. I definitely don't get enough veggies in. Not so much about not liking them rather the effort/time in cleaning, slicing, dicing, cooking and cleaning. Need to make more of an effort I guess. Assuming a green drink won't suffice?!

This is a very poorly done video. HS-CRP is an acute phase reactant that releases interleukin 6. It is a marker of systematic inflammation. It’s not an indicator of inflammation in the heart specifically. So many things elevate it. The number one thing you need to do is lower body fat. Then if it’s still high move on these other recommendations.

My CRP(HS) was 2.07 back in February 2020. November 9, 2020 CRP(HS) shows 1.01. I know it is a very good thing that it dropped so much but does this mean whatever inflammation I might of had in my system is improving? In February 2020 I started a lifestyle change. I don't drink coffee anymore, lowered my carb intake, trying to opt for good carbs instead of refined ones. I don't eat any sweets (rarely I cheat). Also did some intermittent fasting in the summer. I eat more vegetables and protein and don't eat late at night. I am walking, moving more. Since February I have lost at least 15lbs so far. I think it does help that I started this since I was also prediabetic and I reversed it. My question is: Since CRP level is an inflammation marker, if I had anything serious going on in my body the level wouldn't of dropped from like 2.07 to 1.01. Thank you. By the way you have very good knowledgeable videos. I really like them.

I read this book about inflammation nation that indicated that arrichodonic acid is found in a lot of food with eggs being high in this A acid. The A acid turns into CRP. I've been eating eggs everyday. Is this dangerous for me? Now, I'm worried. Please help explain.

He says get the grains out of the diet? But the older rural Chinese ate the typical Asian diet which is about 90% white rice. Their CRP levels stay far below 1 for their entire lives and they have dramatically lower rates of heart disease, diabetes, and cancer so there must be something to a diet of grains. Dr John McDougall explains it in his book " The Starch Solution"

Hello - just got some test results. Have been on KETO diet since July 2019 (lost 25 pounds) and my cholesterol total is 231, LDL 182, Triglcyeride 76, HDL 68. hs-CRP is the same as a year ago at 2.2. Nothing is improving. I am eating good oils, good fats. I know I could improve on eating my greens. Do you think I should have concerns?

  • @bluedreamin1678
    @bluedreamin1678 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Vegetables don't neccesarily lower inflammation or c reactive protein, it's entirely dependent on your individual response to certain foods. You also can take vitamin c supplements instead of trying to eat an absurd amount of vegetables per day although you will miss out on other micronutrients. Lots of misinformation in this video. Typical medical literature would indicate that my ldl cholestrol would be higher on a diet involving high amounts of saturated fats specifically from red meat yet I stopped eating red meat entirely, used 10g of quality fish oils per day for over 4 months among other supplements, and my ldl and particle count got higher. I switched back to red meat and basically cut out Vegetables entirely and my hdl improved and my ldl/particle count and c reactive protein lowered.

Thanks you so much for this! I'm being pressured to go on statins because of my cholesterol (but my HDL is also high) and inflammation markers. I have done keto in the past but cheated too much/too often. Now I see the snacking and cheats with breads/cakes and other baked goods impact more than just ketosis/weight loss. There's no such thing as moderation with those. I am working to get back into ketosis and will add IF.

Have a CAC scan done to see if you actually have any plaque in your blood vessels. They told my husband that he needed to be on statins but his CAC score was 0. No plaque. Insurance does not cover it (no surprise there) but I believe it was $99. Worth every penny for peace of mind and confidence not taking statins.

Hello Dr. Berg Can prolonged fasting increase the level of CRP? My husband has rectal cancer, he did 4 days fast several days ago. Due to temperature he has done CRP test, is was high. I have a question for Doctor Eric. I went to the dermatologist, and i am being treated with cortisone shots for mild alopecia on the side of my head and on my scalp. Is there any benefit to getting the C-reactive protein test? To maybe locate any inflammation? Would the test help me understand where the inflammation is coming from so i can work on my Alopecia and psoriasis?
