Camper Van Conversion on a Budget - Toyota Proace before and after 2020

  • Hej Guys, we just bought a van for our Camping tours through Norway. We started with a fairly empty Toyota Proace (2014) and build it into a pretty decent camper van. It's not a car that you would live in full-time but the van has enough space and comfort to spend a few nights in.
We are now soon planing our first road trips through the north of Norway so there will be quite some adventure movies in due time.
As I guess a few of you are searching for a Camper Van on a budget during corona times, the car together with all building materials has cost us 9000 USD. A decent price in our opinion :)

You should probably drill a bunch of 2-3cm holes all over the wooden plate that carries the mattress, it will help aerate below the matress so it doesn't get too moist when sleeping, and will cut down on the total weight of the vehicle for better fuel economy. Personally I'd use some of the cheap and light weight plastic IKEA drawers with wheels on as well, cheap and light.

Lovely to see the family, your girlfriend and pup✨ The lighting is dynamic as always. Try to avoid being too apologetic in your videos-it’s understood your live on a schedule with TH-cam, so try to condition your audience to your own timeframe. Respect for your accomplishments, Tarzan. Be safe in Norway👊

Love what you've done with this Proace! Super simple and affordable - that too in Norway, one of the most expensive countries. I look forward to more videos of you exploring your beautiful country in it!

Not read any of the comments so guessing this has already been answered 😊
What type of dog is it? Love it, seen ones similar that are HUGE, never seen a small one.
Love the conversion on the van, done exactly what you needed with the skills you have and then enjoyed it..... way its meant to be done, love to see people enjoying life.

Yuki is a Alaskan Malamute :) He is only about 42 Kg.
And thanks! The van has done a great job in the two years we had it!

Thanks a lot, many the cheapest pine planks do to our budget for the frame (should be 5cm wide). plug-in panels for the top did the job well ☺️

Great video! How tall are you? I’m 6,10 and I want this set up but idk if I will fit sitting down on the bed.

Sitting down on the bed could be tough depending on which high you’d like the drawers
