Looks fab! I am currently sitting in my Toyota Alphard, 2005, imported last year and converted by Wellhouse Leisure. I'm toasty warm and absolutely love it! Half the price of a VW 😊

Great for a young couple, solo traveler or day van. I had a Mazda Bongo of similar spec which was not the most reliable and for an older couple, a bit of a hassle with the sleeping arrangements for two when you are a bit less bendy!
My camper is a 2016 LWB Citroen Dispatch (same as a pro-ace). You can’t swivel the double passenger seat, not enough room to manoeuvre them. Most of us buy a single swivel base from Kiravans or FASP and swap the double seat for a single passenger seat/rails. I love my van, as does everyone else who sees it. So much more for your money. My hook up is under the bonnet. Pop top is the same as mine, fitted by Drive Lodge

Hi guys, hope you are well and cheeky as usual! The Proace is my fave and I'd have an auto in a heartbeat. 180bhp uprated engine for the auto and a five year warranty as opposed to VW's one year only! You didn't say who converted this one? Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work.

Nice looking campervan, but I'll stick with more space in my motorhome. You mentioned a review of some of the poor home/self conversions. Hope you will do one to show the pitfalls/dangers. I'm sure it would make us all appreciate the work that goes into the professional conversions more. Keep up the great work, always a laugh.

I have had Toyota and Lexus cars for over forty years and never had a breakdown they are incredibly reliable, I have always wanted a camper van and Toyota would be my choice, I really do like the layout, have you ever had a Toyota Alphard for sale?

Interesting vlog! The Toyota Looks great but the NON swivelling front passenger seat would be a deal breaker for me.
Have the Peugeot version - love it, converted it myself. 11k to buy, 6k for the conversion inc pop top. Mental prices quoted by you guys.

With the pop top up, surely it’s the same as sleeping in a tent (temperature, noise etc ) but more expensive?
Not quite because you have heating in a lot of pop-top campers along with electric etc but I guess you'd have to sleep inside to really know what it's like in a pop-top bed for a night. It's probably more for kids while the adults can get the comfort of the rock & roll bed!😀

The only thing that lets it down is the lack of a swivel seat that effectively means that there is only living space for two people. If I was in the market for a camper van I would definitely avoid VWs and getter a better spec or newer van and probably still save money.

I think it's better than VW but i would prefer two swivel seats rather than the current three.
thats why the proace culture and parts companies are so massive. All those proace meetings throughout the UK every weekend. not to forget all those classic Proace’s being lovingly restored? What a plonker you are! PS the early part of my comment was sarcasm because I think you might miss it.
I'm with Kev on this one, I'm not a campervan fan either but recognise that a lot of people are. The VW campervans are popular but in my opinion they are over rated & expensive for what they are, this Toyota campervan has everything pretty much that a VW has except the badge & perhaps the cult status? Why follow the crowd when you can have something different, it won't be everyone's cuppa but I would choose the Toyota over the VW. Nice presentation and Jason once you were inside the van you perked up!

Good camper but that double seat in the front needs to be more flexible. In my old camper, the back of the seat folded foward and flat which made a deal of difference on site. I like this van and see the pragmatism about getting one over the VW. However, there’s a certain je ne sais quoi about the VWs and I would still prefer to have of them over this.

I don't and never will understand the wierd obsession off paying an extra 30% for a van or camper for the VW badge.
It's a VW for god sake, a poor man's audi as people say.
Why are people still spending unnecessary money on these things just because 70 years ago the split screen existed. I just don't get it at all.
The transporter have never been any better, nor any more reliable than any other van.
