    Fr Paul, my family and I still think about and pray for your parish after our single visit last year. May you all have a blessed Lent, and may God have mercy upon us

      There's a prayer that you do from the jordanville prayer book that regains you guardian angel. Go to holy confession to a priest and regain your angel through repentance. Keep the hope! Christ loves you.

    From the very beginning Paul taught about schisms in the Church.
    The believers that the Apostles baptised, received the Holy Spirit…

    Great video. I have a serious question though. You say an angel is given at orthodox baptism. What about those who were never baptized orthodox but only chrismated due to being told their non-orthodox baptism was sufficient?

    I was raised Baptist and have recently started going to my local Orthodox Church. Do I not have a guard angel until I’m baptized in the Orthodox Church?

      In the Orthodox Church, we are taught that we receive our guardian angel at baptism.

    I was saved from being killed by van by divine intervention when I was 16.
    I turned around and no one was there but something pulled me by the back of my shirt.

      Amazing blessing! My Father had that happened to him as well when young. Took one step into a big whole and as falling, pulled out. So hmm.. pretty common- holy acts from God's mercy.

      Your angel is assigned to you always, but we try to keep our angel with us and active through our life of repentance. Even if we ended up in hell, our angel will still continue to bat for us to the Lord finding good deeds. Finding something in us that had taken place pleasing to the Lord to help bring us from the pits of hell and to acquire the Kingdom of God.

      @@paulbaba3356 only curious without any scripture or apostolic background, a saint therefore can add anything if the majority agrees, same as no one knows when the crossing oneself was invented and from whom, but do it in a other direction and its heresy, dont you see the double standard and veiling behind such logic? I have no problem with crossing or angels, but the notion that there is a huge contradiction going on in church, one hand everything is fixed and thousands years old ongoing tradition, than on the other hand things get added, accepted and its called a living tradition, so what, you can only have one thing, fixed or movable?

    • @medotaku9360
      @medotaku9360 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@tutorialchiefPaul tells us to follow tradition, both what we have heard and what we have read. Much of this has simply been passed down from generation to generation, originally within the walls of the churches established by the apostles. Buildings and churches which remain standing, I should add.
      Also, you can cross yourself in whatever manner you prefer and not he guilty of heresy. Originally we crossed only our foreheads. When we became more bold in expressing our faith we began to cross our torso.

      @@tutorialchiefyou are operating with the presupposition that the Church is not the pillar and ground of truth…

    • @mtalk828
      @mtalk828 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kaden7374- The East does the sign of the cross different from the West. I say, "you" as an individual is one of the most important component of the Church or the body of Christ. And that means truth does not speak only through sacred traditions and the scriptures, but at times, through "you" in a state receptive to the Holy Spirit. And since before there are "others," there is "you," it makes sense that it is also wise to follow your inner convictions from the Holy Spirit to determine which traditional practice of making the sign of the cross is good, or, both are good, or, both traditions should be null and void from your life ... Understand? ... My humble advice to you, is that you should never blindly follow any authority without consulting the Spirit of Truth within your self. In 2019 to 2021, we saw many who blindly followed doctors, the news, politicians, and even priests to take a Covid19 prick, and because many didn't listen to their inner selves, they have received serious adverse reactions.
      I am convince, it doesn't matter how you make the sign of the cross. It is not found in scriptures. I do have inner convictions to use it. But whether the East way or West way ... it is not an essential matter of salvation. So I will leave it at that.
      Peace🙏🏽:)
