    I'm a catechumen under rocor right now, thankfully much of this nonsense doesn't seem to be accepted here, the priests blessing seemed weird at first, but it and the anointing feels like a cloak or bubble, of goodness hugging you after its given, (this isn't quite right to describe it but its the closest thing i can think of), and i notice that my mind is clear of the regular horrible thoughts I have until I leave.
    Does anybody else have this or is this just me? I don't want to bring it up to my priest because he might think I'm in prelest.

    I'm grateful to the Lord for my mission parish priest. I have been an inquirer for the past 6-7 months, I came reaching out and he has been faithful every week. Finding the time to meet with me and communicate with me all while serving the rest of the church, his own family and maintaining a fulltime job. He has given me the tools to pursue the Orthodox way and the path to repentance. He is loving and intelligent and has been an example of Christ. Glory to God!

      @forgingicehole4750
      I have gone down this road a long time ago, friend. Long conversation short: the term miaphysite is used nowadays to be “softer” to the monophysites. They both mean one nature. The “miaphysites” of today, so self-styled, prefer this term to distinguish themselves from Eutychian Monophysitism since they reject that, but try to co-opt cyrillian language while not realizing they reject his christology by rejecting the 4th Ecumenical Council.
      The non Chalcedonians are monophysites - to be Orthodox means to follow the Holy Fathers, the Saints, who did not shy away from calling them monophysites
      May God grant the monophysites to come the fullness of the Truth!

    Father, i admire your content and the way you convey your messages, but what are your thoughts on Fr Herman podmoshensky? I recently was reading Fr Seraphims life and works and found out about the controversy of Fr Herman and was troubled by it, ive seen people defending him calling it slander, and ive seen the other side calling him many insults etc etc, i dont know whats true about this subject

    • @paulbaba3356
      @paulbaba3356  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      When speaking with Fr Herman before he died, he told me to pray for him. Things are said on both sides, yes. But I take the road of the saints who say to never judge even when seeing one sin no matter how awful. The demons want our souls, so I will not join in on their bandwagon and look for guilty sins in one, but to say a Jesus prayer for a fallen brother, if that is the case. If one ends in hell, the guardian still looks to find a good deed or two to share with Christ. This finding by the angel could change the Lord's view and pull him out of hell. Demons do the opposite.. still going at the soul of a departed with lies accusations..until judgement. So we say good things and pray now moreso when a soul departs. We are to be merciful☦️

    Yes, I agree. Do you think Fr. Seraphim would approve of his work being revised? Would he agree with the MP communion with the ROCOR? Would he have been for the Serbian Church taking over Saint Hermon’s? Was he “True Orthodox”

    • @paulbaba3356
      @paulbaba3356  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      Whatever Father Seraphim thought the truth was he would be bold to uphold it. He wanted rough and humble living monastic style. Even though you have to see that jurisdictions were not so pleasing to him, he managed to stay put and endure. But still went about his business spiritually.

      @@paulbaba3356If he ever visits you… In some way, could you ask him this question?
      I know this could be a difficult question. World Orthodoxy is laying claim to him. They have gone so far as to change his writings that clearly show his support for the G.O.C. of Greece and the Catacomb Church. Who Rocor was in communion with. Many in world orthodoxy take his stance on HOCNA in Boston and use this to say he changed his position on “True Orthodoxy”. But, further reading shows that Fr Seraphim’s “Boston mentality” had to do with them being anti St Augustine, anti saints of the West. They thought St Ignatius B. And St Theophan the Recluse were influenced by papism They wouldn’t listen to Abp Averky or St Philaret either. He was addressing an attitude of smugness and pride coming from Greek ignorance. That was the Boston mentality
      WOs like to think that Fr Seraphim somehow did a complete 180 from his earlier writings because he decided to change his “tone”. In fact, if you read at all what Fr Seraphim had against Boston it had little to do with TO.
      They think “Boston mentality” is equivalent to being a zealot. It has nothing to do with zealotry for the Faith.
      They think just because Georgia has canonized him that somehow equates to him being a “WO” Saint. But, he wasn’t in communion with who these people are in communion with… What they call canonical Orthodoxy wasn’t considered Canonical Orthodoxy by Father Seraphim Rose. At the very least Fr Seraphim’s ecclesiology wouldn’t have allowed for a union without a future all free Russian council. And he wouldn’t have been okay with being in communion with WO. We know this from his writings.
      He didn’t recognize these people as canonically Orthodox, yet they are supporting this revised history. I hate to come at you Father Paul… But, why haven’t you stood up and said something? If you are his Spiritual Son… Stand up for your Spiritual Father. They are rewriting history very publicly and it seems that you are on the side of the revisionist… Am i right about that assumption?

      @@paulbaba3356Father Paul. “World Orthodoxy” is claiming Father Seraphim as one of their own. They claim he changed his mind and didn’t actually have a “True Orthodox” position. Fr. Seraphim died in communion with The True Orthodox of Greece and the Catacomb Church of Russia and he showed his support for both multiple times… Although that support has been denied and edited out of his work. It seems he wouldn’t have gone with the union. At the very least Fr Seraphim’s ecclesiology wouldn’t have allowed for a union without a future all free Russian council. And he wouldn’t have been okay with being in communion with WO. Many of the WOs take his stance on Boston and take this stance as proof that he changed his mind about “True Orthodoxy”.. They like to think that Fr Seraphim somehow did a complete 180 from his earlier writings because he decided to change his “tone”. How can these people who he wasn’t in communion with lay claim to him and in the same breath call those “TOs” he was in communion with “schismatics”. Fr. Seraphim didn’t recognize what these “WO” people claim to be canonically Orthodox and they also reject People he did consider canonically Orthodox. My question is if you are His Spiritual Son why haven’t you stood against these revisionist notions? It seems you are in support of the revisionist as opposed to speaking out against his patristic witness being changed.
