- Canada's Wonderland is Canada's premier park, but has its strengths and weaknesses. So, does it suck? Here is my review of my home park.
Songs used
Waltz of the Flowers , Sleeping Beauty Waltz, Tchaikovsky
John the Fisherman, Primus
I fully agree..."It get's busy"...so wait times become nuts. However at my age now it's not to much of an issue as I would probably chill in the shade or by the wave pool and I would be all good. In the 90s with friends I didn't mind the waits as you were with people to pass the time. When I worked there in the 90s I was there after shifts and off days. Good review prospective...
Wait times are almost always nuts! Probably the biggest issue at the park. Very hard to be a regular without all season FastLane
Yeah I think you are right on. It has TOP notch coasters and then A LOT of bad ones. I wasn't really a fan of b&m dive coasters (honestly the restraints are super heavy and i get a little claustrophobic) I road Valraven at Cedar Point and the valleys were a little nauseating.
I still want to try Yukron as its thes worlds (or US) largest dive coaster, their giga, and Behemoth. Once they get their new launch coast they'll have 4 really solid coaster that they can start tearing down some of the older ones, perhaps sell or recycle some of the metal/wood.
I'm down here in Darien Lake, and if they would have made Tantrum like 2-3x bigger, and then RMC the Predator, we would haver 3 solid rides. Its kind of in a bad spot, if it wasn't for canadians we wouldn't have any neighboring cities to come.
I enjoyed Darien Lake and there are definitely some good coasters there, but Wonderland is worth the visit and easily the better park.
its the worlds.
nah maybe 5-6 vortex is also really fun.
Okay, so wait a second. You are saying to go to Canada's Wonderland instead of Darien Lake? I just came back from Darien Lake. I spent 2 beautiful days there. Wonderland has nothing to compare to Darien Lake's atmosphere. Beautiful pathways . .flowers. . benches lining every pathway. There is no atmosphere at Wonderland and like you said, not much theming. A good "theme park" should have "theming".
Putting up a couple of signs is not theming. The Yukon Canada area was supposed to have great theming. The area around Yukon Striker and Snoopy's Racing Railway is actually a pretty good start. But theming one coaster does nothing for the rest of the park. My family always dislikes leaving Darien Lake at the end of our many, many visits over the decades, because we want to go right back in! That feeling just doesn't exist at Wonderland. Hopefully with the merger, the Six Flag directors will let the Cedar Fair directors know how to add atmosphere to the Cedar Fair parks. One thing they need to do right away is to get rid of the brick walkways. Darien Lake has asphalt pathways. Much more comfortable on your feet and legs and Darien Lake's waterpark beats Wonderland's as well. Their wavepool actually has waves . . .huge waves! It has bean many years now since there has been even one wave at Wonderland's "wave pool"
Opinions are opinions but Darien Lake without the campground and waterpark is really just a half day trip. I liked my visit to Darien Lake but that park has been very much neglected over the past 20 years or so - a lack of new coasters is one thing, only having one train for any of them is another. Darien Lake is a nice park with a nice setting but simply can't keep up with a park with Wonderland’s budget.
"A good "theme park" should have "theming""
Amusement parks and Theme parks are two very different things. Theme parks are like DIsney, Universal Islands of Adventure, Hersheypark. Most Cedar fair and Six Flag parks (or I suppose just Six Flags now) don't have incredible theming.
That said, this park is massive compared to Darien lake, I really wouldn't take that over this
Yep, opinions are opinions, indeed. Canada's Wonder used to have good theming back in the day when cast member "costumes" matched the area they worked in.
lol your opinion is only correct LOLOL 😂 , I just got back from a 3 day visit at Canadas Wonderland! Day 3 I got myself a fast lane plus, got on 37 coaster rides that day. Got on Leviathan 17 times that day 💪. Keep up the solid work, I hope to eventually start my own coaster channel.
@corybourrier9722 Do it! It's work (which admittedly I don't put in) but very fun
I might be weird but June 2024 time warp is way better now its less rough and I like it
@AriabodBagheriasl Can't say I'm a fan. Rode it a couple weeks ago and it was awful as ever
@@TOCoasterAddict I've heard that if you "ride it correctly", then you can brace yourself for most of the awful turns, leading to an actually decent ride experience. I've gotta say, flight deck is MUCH worse for me.
@@Replay_AbilityI rode it 3 times in a day recently attempting a challenge, and I really dislike it even with bracing for impact
You earned a new Sub 😎 , looking forward to 6 months for the next video , sending good vibes from Winnipeg !
@corybourrier9722 Much appreciated! Hoping to break down the 2025 coaster sooner or later for my next video
@@TOCoasterAddict the tunnel under the mountain is getting me really hyped!! 😎 💪
i cant wait for u to go to cedar point ur top 10 will change drastically
No doubt! Wouldn't be surprised if my top 5 ends up with 3+ Cedar Point coasters
Keep cooking bro🔥
Thanks! There's a reason they call me the Gordon Ramsey of TH-camrs
Bro, what the heck are you even saying?
Keep it up, love your content
Thanks! You too!
