The fast lane pass is totally worth it. We went today (Sunday) and it was *packed*. Queues went over two hours for some coasters but with the fast lane pass the longest wait we had was 8 minutes. Also - get the unlimited drinks wristband. So worth it!
Last year I had the unlimited drinks and it wasn't all that great. Wasps in every drink stand, half the drinks wernt even working either. But the fast lane plus is obviously worth it, I have it when I go this year on July 12th
Since Haunt is a separate event at Wonderland and the park closes at 5pm between the day session and Haunt which starts at 7, the park has far less adult and teen traffic during the day. Line ups for the big rides are substantially shorter. Even Leviathan and Behemoth waits are likely to be less than half an hour and its not uncommon to be able to ride back to back on many coasters. I have often gotten in 10-15 rides on different coasters in 4 or 5 hours, especially on cloudy cold wet days. Haunt is busy, crazy busy and line ups can be hours on the big 3. A Fright pass (Fast Pass for Haunt) is likely a good idea if you want to ride much.
I remember going to this park i 1984 as a 4yo....we used to be able to go up on the mountain and walk behind the falls like a miniature Niagara falls. I now have a season's pass with annual fast pass. It is fantastic for my daughter who is on the spectrum and enjoys riding coasters literally 7-9× in a row. The waits are minimal this way and much less stressful. Also it is amazing how much you can actually do when your not waiting in lines. You can stop and eat without stressing of missed rides, and you have time to stop and watch some of the shows.
I've been going to Canada's Wonderland for over 40 years and there is one unspoken rule. The first ride MUST be Dragon's Fyre. That coaster loops and corkscrews so it really loosens you up for everything else. I really miss Jet Scream. It was just amazing. The only real downside was the nut-cracker hydraulic restraint system which could turn you into a soprano if you weren't careful.
Let me tell you, getting a fast lane is 100% worth it. Without the fast lane i only rode 4 rides. With the fast lane I rode 21 rides and it was AMAZING. I got a fast lane plus because the lines for the three giga coasters are crazy long! But it was very worth it! I got to ride the leviathan 5 times in a row at night. Plus, I got to ride every other ride without any wait time!
@@TommonSensePro I mean you're not wrong I was just using my deductive reasoning and assumed you were asking a genuine question and not posting a sarcastic rhetorical Q. lol learned my lesson I guess.
I live about 10 Km from the park and have been going since it opened in 1980 so I know a great deal about it. If you are looking to save some money here are some tips. If you pack a cooler of food they won't let you take it into the park but there is a shaded outdoor picnic area just outside the gates. If you crave pizza or burgers there are a couple of strip malls just the other side of Jane St. that is an easy walk for adults. The McD's is offering $1 cones and Pizza Pizza has XL 4 topping for $18 or 1 topping for $14. You can call ahead and it's ready by the time you get there. Lastly, if you have a good friend or parent drive you there is an easy pick up/drop off area just off Jane St. to save you parking fees.
You forgot to add Psyclone for the best flat rides. Psyclone is my top favourite flat ride, it’s so good and so fun. Still a great video! Canada’s Wonderland is my home park and it is my happy place. My top 3 favourite roller coasters are the big 3 Yukon striker, leviathan and behemoth, such good coasters. And I love how Yukon has a single rider line, it helps to go on over and over during a weekday for an hour between 10am to 11am before the park gets more packed
Unless you get stuck behind a bunch of groups of 2, 3, 4, or even 5 people that want to gamble to see if they can still ride together but have a shorter wait.
I’m visiting in 4 days and I’m super excited because most of my friends are coming with me! I’ve been to this park 5 times and know most of the good rides that are worth it.
Have a season pass for me my wife and my son. We have been five or six times this year, always on a Saturday (unfortunately the only day usually my wife and I both have off work). We get there around 10am and stay until around 4 or 430. Line up to get in the front entrance at security seems long, but never takes more than 10-15 minutes to get through. I usually get in a few adult rides for myself in the first hour or so then we make our way to kidzville and spend the rest of the day their for our son. I find the adult rides after 12pm get kinda long. If your like me you don't like waiting more than 30 minutes to ride anyrhing. Kidzville and planet snoopy all day there are hardly any line ups. Also the pizza pizza in planet snoopy is cheaper than the other pizza pizzas for some reason (you can get a box of pizza at that one for the same price as just a single slice and coke at the other ones). The amount I depend on season passes and food, I'm not gonna add to that and buy a fast lane pass (99% of people DON'T). I love roller coasters, but I'll gladly line up and complain about the line over complaining how much money I'd spend on the fast lane pass lol.
If you get in the park early make sure to ride popular rides especially lavaithin first. I personally don’t like big roller coasters like that myself but I see all the line constantly over an hour by 9 or ten in morning when I walk by to do the other rides.
Fast Pass is worth it if you only plan on going to Wonderland once a year, and you wanna maximize the amount riding you do in that one day. It's not worth it to a season pass holder (like me) who goes multiple times a year and isn't concerned about doing everything in one day. (Side note: Fast Pass is also worth it if you wanna impress your date with a "VIP treatment" lol)
Me and my friends started with Yukon last summer. Bring your own water bottle. There's a new Coke refill station this year around near the new restaurant is. Some real good advice and don't forget the gift shops and the funnel cakes. Yummy.
Hi great video One thing that you never talked about is the accomidations for those with disabilities. first off plus side they do have a boarding pass but there is a note long with that the wait time to actually get on with boarding pass as wonderland makes you have to wait per wait period is the wait time is dependent on how long line is now it just means you do get to relax while you wait but really doesn't help for getting lots of rides in a day if you like rides allot though even with leviathan still would have taken an hour to actually get on. I wish the boarding pass system would allow you to book more then one ride at a time i wish it did maybe you can but seems to me you can't. You never talked about other area's over all about this. In your opinion, do you believe that Canada's Wonderland should be for a solo trip, or do you think it's close enough to Niagara Falls where you could also drive across the border to visit Six Flags Darien Lake and the reopened Niagara Amusement Park?
Def close enough. I wouldn't bother with Niagara Amusement Park (formerly Martin's Fantasy Island). Its almost all kids rides now and never was a good park anyway.
Loved your video, you know your facts when it comes to theme parks, I would definitely agree with arriving an hour before park opening to beat the crowds, one question I have for you is do you know if Canadas Wonderland does anything like early entry? Anyways great video once again look forward to seeing more keep up the good work!!!
Been going since it opened. :) (Okay, I was 4 at the time) Despite the line speed, I start the day with Leviathan - but you have to get there as soon as humanly possible. The 1 hour before is a good timeline. Really after the first ride or two the lines have taken over, so it's really whatever you like at that point. Disagree on Flight Deck (Or Top Gun as the old crowd still calls it). Amazingly intense ride if you can learn to just keep your head glued to the back headrest, as the common issue is ear pain from banging around. Not sure how Guardian even makes the list. Terribly slow line and breaks down as often as it's working. Even when it's working it's pretty mediocre compared against pretty much any other 3D screen rides I've seen. I really feel they need to rebuild the internals of Guardian...
if you go on a day during summer break, fast lane is 100% worth, sure it's on the pricier end but like...you're already going to wonderland and you're gonna spend a lot, so why not extend the rides you can do from 4-5 to more than 30?
I always start towards Levi, then hit Drop Tower, Wilde Beast, Thunder Run, and Vortex. I eat, and then follow Yukon, hit that, Italian Backlot, Behemoth & Spinebuster. I don't touch Flight Deck anymore as well Time Warp.
Why do people not like Flight Feck anymore? Is it due to the line or the ride itself? I remember top gun being very popular when I was a kid. I’ll be going for the first time in about a decade tomorrow with my gf, I bought us fast lane passes but I kinda wish I got us fast lane plus.
They really need to work on their early entry policy. As a platinum pass holder we were granted access 30 minutes early-were allowed to go forward to the mountain/waterfall but absolutely nothing was open. Was told that they open a few rides early on Saturdays but this really started the day off on a bad note . Could have slept another 90 minutes and avoided the nightmarish traffic on 404.
Hi! I’m going to CW on June 14th. Is it worth it to get a Fast Lane Pass ? And should I get my tickets online prior or get them at the gate ? Thanks :)
That's a weekday so I'm guessing the lines will already be smaller. If you get fast pass, tho, there will probably be 0 wait but I don't think it's worth it.
Reasons the fast lane pass is not worth it IMO- coming from a frequent park visitor: 1. You can’t make fun of the fast lane people and silently rich-shame them with your friends 2. Lines make the ride more satisfying when you finally get on 3. Lines give you more time between rides so you don’t get sick 4. I am stuck in my ways and also live very close. I can just come multiple times throughout the summer, so there’s no need to do everything in one day
All Season FL+ is where it’s at. I can do the entire park in 2-3 hours without breaking a sweat. Re-rides galore. And I feed off the dirty looks from the regular line 🤣.
Myself and my husband are bringing our kids (4,8 and 15) July 30th. We are planning on being there for 9am on the Saturday and i bought the premiere parking pass. We didn't get fast passes. Do you think the line to get in will be ok at 9am? Do the lines for the rides get long really fast in the morning, or is it more in the afternoon? Thanks! Loved this video :)
Hey thx for all the tips! Just wondering if the fast lane plus pass is all that worth it if you say those coasters have the fastest queues? Thx! Definitely plan to get the standard fast lane 😅❤
YOU DO NOT NEED FAST LANE UNLESS UR TRAVLING!!! u can get everything done inna span of 5-7h wonderland opps r pre quick espially there big rides, only line that take forever is behemoth and vortext. been going to wonderland forevrr and trust u do not need fast ane and u dont need to spend 2 days in the parks u can get everything done relitivly quickly!!!!
A few updates as of 2024: Alternate entrance for this season as the original entry is getting a faceover this is a CASHLESS park you must get a cash card available for free at Kios Park will operate in rain as long as no thunder everything is in CAN (Canadian Currency). Vaughan is very expensive city and hotels more so. you CANNOT bring your own food or drinks here ( except water bottles) no glass containers are allowed. You CANNOT smoke in the park anymore you have to leave and come back. You can and will be tossed from park if they catch you recording on-rides.
The secret to sit on Rides is to stand on your toes, that's how I sat on "The Three Mega Rides" which are Leviathan, Behemoth, Yukon Striker. Now I am crazy, I'm 9 and sat on these, but you just have to train by sitting on smaller rides! I also went through the Fast Lane Plus for all three, BUT IT WAS FULL LIKE THE NORMAL LANE?!!!
The only coasters that offer single rider lines at the moment is The Bat & Yukon Striker. Although on busier days a ride attendant will sometimes stand a the entrance into the station and ask for a single rider to come up and fill the empty seats.
We only did the fast-pass once, and we did so many rides that we were all feeling rough and ready to go home by 5😅 So I like the lines for giving my body time to recover. I always go on a weekday so they aren't too bad. If I ever get the fast pass again, I will be sure to take a lot of breaks. lol
the last time i had pizza pizza at wonderland it was horrible i would not recommend it, i know its stone fire cooked and in theory it should be good but in practice its something to be desired
With this being my home park, I know for a fact that it’s never busy on weekdays, so it’s definitely best to go on a weekday. Great video!

Leviathan, yukon, and behemoth may have the fastest MOVING lines but the waits are still always the longest because of how long the lines are
Canada's Wonderland has been my home park since 1983. Some notes:
- arriving 20-30 min before park opening is fine on non-holiday weekdays
- always get the upgraded Fast Pass on busy days
- find your first ride of the day deeper in the park
- it may be faster, easier and cheaper to find something to eat at the strip mall on Major Mackenzie Drive, within walking distance just north of the park
- Sledge Hammer is often down, even at park opening, so don't expect to ride it on your first visit
- The only reason to ride Flight Deck and Time Warp are for the credits, or being able to say you endured them before the park inevitably tears them down
I don't get why everyone hates time warp and flight deck..? They are not the best but still fun imo lol
Do any other riders have a single rider lane like Yukon striker? It's a really good idea I think they should have it for all rides.

Reasons the fast lane pass is not worth it IMO- coming from a frequent park visitor:
1. You can’t make fun of the fast lane people and silently rich-shame them with your friends
2. Lines make the ride more satisfying when you finally get on
3. Lines give you more time between rides so you don’t get sick
@@905Metalhead i mean go for it my man
I would@@everybody48
Great video and very helpful 👍
Thank you for watching! :)
6:32 So you can't ride with a fanny pack? I plan on going later next week, and I plan on wearing a fanny pack.
If you had a choice to do Canadas Wonderland or Kennywood, which would you choose?
CW for coaster counts but for
Coasters that could change your top 10
Or 20, kennywood :)
IM GOING ON SATURDAY I CANT WAIT😆😆🤯
Myself and my husband are bringing our kids (4,8 and 15) July 30th. We are planning on being there for 9am on the Saturday and i bought the premiere parking pass. We didn't get fast passes. Do you think the line to get in will be ok at 9am? Do the lines for the rides get long really fast in the morning, or is it more in the afternoon? Thanks! Loved this video :)
On weekend the ride has hectic lines all the time , and I’m going there on 30th July for 3 rd time this year😂😂
Hey thx for all the tips! Just wondering if the fast lane plus pass is all that worth it if you say those coasters have the fastest queues? Thx! Definitely plan to get the standard fast lane 😅❤
I would only so you can get as many rerides as you want :)
Thanks! Are you only allowed a few re rides normally?
Thank you so much because I’m going to be there tomorrow 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Enjoy!!! I’m jealous :-)

A few updates as of 2024:
Alternate entrance for this season as the original entry is getting a faceover
this is a CASHLESS park you must get a cash card available for free at Kios
Park will operate in rain as long as no thunder
everything is in CAN (Canadian Currency).
What do you mean tossed for recording on rides? You mean wearing a Go-Pro is not allowed?
Tysm
The secret to sit on Rides is to stand on your toes, that's how I sat on "The Three Mega Rides" which are Leviathan, Behemoth, Yukon Striker. Now I am crazy, I'm 9 and sat on these, but you just have to train by sitting on smaller rides! I also went through the Fast Lane Plus for all three, BUT IT WAS FULL LIKE THE NORMAL LANE?!!!
This Park Is Stunning Would Been Cooler If Some Of Their Rides We’re Smoother
Is next Friday (the 25th) a good day to go for a birthday party?
Brandon, Please could you do one of these on Thorpe park UK, I am heading there this summer and want some tips and tricks
Keep up the Great Videos

Doesn’t mean i can’t have some friends who have been there frequent help me :-)
1.25 speed thank me later
Do single riders get to move up in lines?
Some rides may or may not have a single rider line. Most don’t
The only coasters that offer single rider lines at the moment is The Bat & Yukon Striker. Although on busier days a ride attendant will sometimes stand a the entrance into the station and ask for a single rider to come up and fill the empty seats.
We only did the fast-pass once, and we did so many rides that we were all feeling rough and ready to go home by 5😅
So I like the lines for giving my body time to recover. I always go on a weekday so they aren't too bad.
If I ever get the fast pass again, I will be sure to take a lot of breaks. lol
I was there yesterday
How much is the fast lane pass
90$ on top of entry fee, discounted if you have season pass.
the last time i had pizza pizza at wonderland it was horrible i would not recommend it, i know its stone fire cooked and in theory it should be good but in practice its something to be desired
Going on long weekend in September, can you do a video on non-ride attractions? Would love to hear more about the arcades and carnival games :D
Check out Amusement Insiders - they do a lot of CW videos :) Thanks for watching!

This makes the Calgary Stampede midway look like a joke. 😭
My mom got stuck on lumber jack for like an hour

Wild beast is also a great night ride!!!
There’s a new restaurant that’s under construction center left of the park
Yup, it’s going to be great!!
Pizza Pizza is frikin awful today!
The fast lane passes are pointless this year. In my opinion.
How so?
@@yukonstriker1703 40 plus min wait times for the fast lane, not worth it
I’m gonna dislike the video so only I know these tips 😈
Lol! Cute
