    3:40 This is why I won't be returning after all these new nerfs comes to the game again. I don't have the time to waste on this game any more. I would rather give my time to games, where the developers value the players time spent, and isn't afraid to let their playbase to feel powerful.

      @NYLCasualGaming it just sped up the game with golden bullet. I usually play for 3 hours a day, but with GB I did all my usual stuff within 1hr 30mins and then played something else. You do realize that raising issues with a game is necessary for it to get better? That if everyone just smiles and says everything is fine then nothing changes? It frustrates me that when players who clearly love the game raise concerns that the reaction is 'Just don't play it'. That is how you guarantee a game stagnates and dies.
      As for always something new, tell me about one piece of new content since Paradise Lost.

    I can sum up Seasons 2.0 in one word: "Nontent". It's just a low-effort maintenance reshuffle of product they've already released, in the vain hope that there's some as-yet untapped player base who's going to jump into a buggy five-year-old video game. The fact is, Star Wars Outlaws was supposed to be the new Massive title, and that wound up being a massive *TURD*.

I tried to challenge myself by doing the legendary missions solo and what the devs. did? They wiped the leaderboard. and all my clan members left the game so

    The *last* thing The Division needs is to start taking dead ideas from a dead genre like MMORPGs. "Class Identity" is just a cipher for "Fewer meaningful choices", and already the Division 2 is highly prescriptive in terms of build diversity because of the piss-poor job they do enabling hybrid builds with their itemization. The core problem is that their skill system has no synergy with the game's core gunplay mechanic. It is a bolted-on afterthought, a way to empower handicapped people to participate with the game's core player-base.
    It's not a coincidence that the most popular skills are just passive survival abilities or fire and forget ones, like turrets or seeker mines. Sure, you can build a dedicated healer or crowd-control skill build, but healing and crowd control are meaningless if you can't kill enemies. Anything which slows down the rate at which you can neutralize enemies is a downgrade in the pace at which you accrue power.
    So, rather than class identity, I'd prefer to see *real choices* offered to the player, instead of just "Maximize DPS meta". But in order to do that, they need to provide the synergy and power to hybrid builds, so that having a strong crowd control or heal component in your build doesn't come at the expense of 75% of your damage output.

    • @NYLCasualGaming
      @NYLCasualGaming  วันที่ผ่านมา

      The Division started out as an FPS RPG with very strong MMO vibes. However, in Division 2 it was dumbed down with many other things, the DZ for example, to ‘cater for a wider audience’. When in fact all that did was to make it lose its identity and became just like every other looter shooter. So this is not taking ideas from MMOs, this is going back to its roots and the vision that the developers originally had for the franchise.
      A hybrid build is a class identity. Every MMO has hybrid classes. And wouldn’t it be awesome if there was a specialization that lean’t into that and gave it some cool features. Abilities could be ones that are triggered by the playstyle rather than active ones.
      It looks like you agree that currently everything is pushed into the core gameplay mechanic. That is boring. I’m suggesting that having different class identities would be better than that. But it would need a complete rework of specializations and skills.
      And new group content that requires a healer and / or crowd control, and needs to team to work as a team to beat it would be awesome.

    • @grumpyoldman6503
      @grumpyoldman6503 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It doesn't work when your identity is just the gear and loadout you have on at the time and you can change at will.

    • @NYLCasualGaming
      @NYLCasualGaming  วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@grumpyoldman6503 At the moment every specialization can buff every weapon. That makes no sense. Have specializations that lean into certain playstyles and weapon configurations. A tank specialization that lets you use an SMG with the bulwark shield like the Div 1 gear set. Make the specializations more like those in an MMO that have effects that trigger with certain set ups. The current gear and skills have no identity at all, and I think the game would be better if they did.

    • @grumpyoldman6503
      @grumpyoldman6503 15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @NYLCasualGaming I understand what you are getting at, and agree that's 1 way to go.
      I think that is what the specialization rework was intended to be a bit more like before it got canceled.
      My point is that if you can change "classes" at will, the lines kinda blur into "what's the point of the separation in the first place?".

    • @NYLCasualGaming
      @NYLCasualGaming  14 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I get you. It is my hope that one day we will have content that actively requires a healer, a tank, and dps. Rather than all dps. Until then, yes other classes are largely redundant.
      My other thought for specializations as well was that by having abilities or buffs within the skill trees that are activated with a certain playstyle you can balance specific gear around that. That way if players want to play their Strikers build on a pure dps sepcialilzation they can, but a different build will be just as viable with a different specialization. Reduces the need to buff and nerf gear all the time.

    This is one of the very best and real video I've watched lately about TD2. As you said, there are the vets and the newcomers. The biggest issue is that the vets already exploited the game from back-to-back 1000x because of the lack of new content and the newcomers, despite liking the game at first, they simply drop-off because there's no vets anymore to help 'em build up and explore the content they've never played. In summary, both vets and newcomers are leaving the game faster than the eyes can see. The vets aren't engaged and the newcomers don't have the vets to be engaged with.

    the content drought happened because of serious mistakes in the division 2. darkzone was supposed to wrap around the map but ubi wanted a new pvp esport and so the thing was made broken into 3 small zones, to stop pve dark zone farmers being able to play them, to try force pvp. so us pve farmers just didnt bother because not interested in pvp and couldnt level anyway with pvp ganking and the loss of xp meaning you cant level in there.
    world tiers were absolutely nuked by devs. the first game was maybe too easy, but easy fix would be add world tiers with a changed, harder enemy AI or do that in division 2. instead we got 'repeat 3 strongholds to raise level, you cannot go back down if your agent just gets one shot and cant kill enemies to get gear.' and that meant a lot of pve players like me didnt dare engage with endgame in case we had to delete an agent unable to be used anymore due to not being able to equip to survive. i deleted at least one agent before moving on to other games.
    THIRD mistake killed the dlc for many including to me - agent imprisoned in new york behind a keener fight where someone thought it a great idea to remove your agent central identity - you couldnt use skills on him he just hijacked them and turned them on you. most UNfun fight, and whats the point being an agent if the final boss gets all the skills and you cant hijack those but you get an unfair CoD boss fight with no skill level just kill the ever healing bullet sponge after destroying something.
    SPECIALISATIONS: division 1 does the make your own class very well. division 2 added superweapon specialisations and defeated the purpose AND DID SO BECAUSE CALL OF DUTY PLAYERS HAVE BEEN SO BRAINWASHED THEY CANT UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF NO SET CLASS. it didnt work for division agents - we just use them for bonuses they provide, nobody i see vids of actually digs out that weapon and fights with it. CoD players still werent happy with having choices and quit after moaning about 'i wanted to be a tank i dont understand this'. they cant create builds, they want them premade so they can get into the 'pvp zone' in both games - sure the darkzone in div 2 was broken so only pvp goes on sometimes, but the division 1 dz is still pvevp and so when someone hounds me there i have to explain the division ISNT CoD and what pvevp means. on those rare occasions when they keep finding me.
    i would play underground in division 2 but... i prefer going back to a more believable division 1 remaster. i would even buy that if they used the div 2 gear system there, and stopped benitez nagging (like the constant suggested play you have to hold button to make go away which they should remove - dont tell me im playing the game wrong and should be doing projects) to play a game mode as he does in div 1 right now to talk to Krapich about a dead mode you cant play becos... nobody plays it and forever queue.

    If people hadn't cried about the seasonal character model we would of had a new fun way to enjoy the game.
    As a result because nobody wanted it they had to rework the modifiers into the main game which is why they had to do all the rebalancing.

    • @NYLCasualGaming
      @NYLCasualGaming  18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      How is leveling a character from 1-40 new? We have done that tons of times before. It is still exactly the same content.
      Leveling 1-40 takes about 8 hours max. At which point you can slap on targeted loot, get your strikers build and a good AR, and you are back to the same point. So your point on rebalancing makes no sense as everyone would have had the same builds anyway. They would have just had to spend 8 tedious hours getting there.
      The rebalancing is more to do with forcing the player base away from a meta, not to do with the difficulty in the game. From what I have seen, the modifiers actually make the game harder due to the enemy modifiers, so the nerfs had nothing to do with this.

The Expertise system is a ludicrous grind, especially having to use hard-to-come-by exotic components to upgrade non exotic weaponry and gear. I usually accumulate 125 star during any given Global Event. Because of 5x, I stacked up 426 stars, which allowed me 21 exotic and a couple of 3 star component. Now I'm literally sitting on 175 exotics but I am reluctant to use them because...what will they nerf next?

      Agree on the Expertise system. It has much less impact than most players think.
      One of the points I was going to touch on, but cut in the end, was that we have too much gear. Over the years Massive have added more and more gear and brand sets which we just don’t need. The large majority are useless and balancing them is overly complicated. It has been used as a crutch for lack of content again - make players chase gear rather than adding new content. We have ended up with a lot of mediocre gear and just a few that are really good.
      Pulling this back to the idea of class identity again, when everyone is a dps then everyone will end up with the same build. A stronger class identity might have encouraged some diversity.
      I agree on classified gearsets. Those were unique and interesting.

    So is it far to expect new content to be free? Ubisoft is a business after all, and businesses are not a charities. They need to make money. We have all gotten our moneys worth from the fee charged for the base game, right? Why should we expect/demand more? Its sort of like asking for free refills for life. So perhaps a business model could be developed that envisions Ubisoft developing new content (e.g. incursions, new missions, etc), and charging for that content. Each season the new content is released, the player base is charged to play that season (e.g., the season pass). If you don't play for the season pass, you don't get to play the new content. Players get new content; Ubisoft gets much needed revenues. Win-win.

      I don’t think anyone would complain about paying for new content, and I’m not aware that players are expecting free content. The reality is that players have been buying the season passes and cosmetics for years so the content isn’t really free.
      Personally, I would like to get rid of seasons. The content isn’t new. It is tired and old and needs to be stopped. It also takes up development resources.
      I would much prefer to have annual or semi annual expansions that deliver true new content, and I would be happy to pay for them.

    Heres my feedback NYL. Hardcore Div player here with 5k hrs in Div 2 and more in Div 1. I no longer have the desire to log in and play. They misused our loyalty to the game. They don't care and now suddenly after flopping in almost every other game they will try to pretend they care for.our support but I won't anymore. Shelving the game till the new DLC comes out and that might never come. Heck didn't even play the 5x xp event that is how demotivated they made me become.

      I've put about 150 hours into the First Descendant. I like it but it did feel very repetitive very quickly. I haven't tried the first season though so maybe it is getting better.

    If they would create new content everybody would buy it the only problem is you listen to new players that does not have the stuff that the old player has so you think it's better to decrease what you have worked It's so hard for create better gear to help the new players at the same time it would help the old players but decrease in everything that they have you or going to lose players I used to buy a lot of stuff because I did not heaven now it's the same born routine over and over and I am done cannot do it anymore I agree with everything that was said in this comment

      In part focusing on new players does make sense for the overall health of the game, but I hope I was able to demonstrate that games that focus more on consistent content releases do better overall. Thanks for watching.

    They should change D2 over to a monthly subscription and run it like Elder Scrolls Online. Then, add new states, countries, towns, cities, weapons, etc., and get rid of the stupid fooking clothes and sh#te weapon skins.

    Can someone tell me how to get Shepard status, or the system where you get rewarded for answering calls for backup? And i had no idea about specializations like demolition sniper.....Any tips for advancing trees?

    • @NYLCasualGaming
      @NYLCasualGaming  20 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      In the Map under SHD you will see your shepard status. This is increased by answering calls for help and getting endorsed by the player. Make sure that you change the on call status to all so you can see all of the calls for help.
      For Specializations, to unlock them beyond the base three you will need to complete field research which you can see in the Specializations menu. This also provides access to some named items. Once a Specialization is unlocked, just completing activities will reward points to unlock the specialization trees further.

      I am one of those players who play the Division games because they are MMO lite's. I like the pervasive characters and world. So I was always disappointed that they didn't continue to build out the Division 1's world with that game still in it. Make it more of a WoW expansion than a whole new game.
      But yes, I can agree with you because from the start the Division 2 dumbed down elements of the Division 1 to target a wider audience, and that killed some of the best parts of the Division 1.

    Division 1 support ended too early. Division 3 needs to be division 1’s survival from the start.

    • @NYLCasualGaming
      @NYLCasualGaming  วันที่ผ่านมา

      Not sure on that. One of the things that made Survival so good was the tension. This was driven by death ending the game. That wouldn't work with Div 3 as a whole. But yes, having that game mode in there would be a good start.

      @@NYLCasualGamingI feel survival is what division should have been from the start. The risk and reward with stealth, melee and agents in the open world like resurgence would be epic. Especially a bigger reskinned deteriorated New York in winter again. Or just give us a 4k remaster div 1 😊
