Back in September we had the most wonderful afternoon meal (3-15 PM booking) at the Seafood Restaurant the food was wonderful and the atmosphere was lovely! It was the highlight of the holiday
I love rick Stein. I went to Padstow about 20 years ago and he was then selling cod and chips for £18 a head. In a chippy it would cost at that time maybe £5-£6...maybe less......and no extra charge to eat in. I laughed and obviously didn't eat at Rick's restaurant. Rick charges London prices for food and makes a good living out of it. Never in a million years would I have thought people would pay London prices for food in Cornwall, but I was wrong. People do...and there is a waiting list for people to pay top money for sea food there. Obviously they aren't locals, they are from London....but hey, Ricky has made good...and helped a lot of chefs buy homes and live a good life there in Padstow. Is Rick Stein a force for good in this world? Absolutely!!
0:04 🥺🥺😫😫 the them of taste of sea oh i wish they made more than a season back then. 0:08 singing so nostalgic 0:35 awww reminds me of Mediterranean escapes 😫😫🥺🥺 why they don't make it like that anymore
Tom Lee yeah, but that’s *not* as good as working for Rick _Stein_ Rick Stein is the real celebrity chef, not sure who your mum worked for but mr Stine is just a cheap imposter.
We had lunch there a month ago £185 for two,( no drinks ) and it was dreadful. The worst part was the crockery was greasy and dirty - I said something about it but they couldn't have cared less. The food wasn't anything to write home about either. Rockfish in Devon is MUCH MUCH better than this joint.
It's business. It's a Worldwide Pandemic. Rick is blameless. It turns out to be the nature of working in a restaurant during a worldwide pandemic. Who knew?
Not true. He is a passionate (and talented) cook and restauranteur. Does he also want to make money from his various exploits? Of course, he does! Why don't you?

Rick!! Cut the BS. You 'truly' only want to make money.
