In regards to the 1/2 g carb per minute after 30 minutes. This greatly depends on your fitness level and body size. In cycling we say 50g per 30 min after the first 30 min which is 1.6 g per minute. This depends on so many factors including fitness level. If I go for a hard ride and burn 1800 cals in 2 hours I may need a lot more then .5g per minute. 50g per 30 min should be enough as during longer bouts of exercise your body is burning a lot of fat for fuel in addition to carbs which is why you can ride on a bike for several hours burning 1000’s of calories and not empty your glycogen stores even if you never ate a huge meal just before the ride. A lot of the energy used during the longer cardio sessions come from the food you ate 1-2 days before which is in the form of muscle glycogen (and of course your stored adipose tissue).

Well put in saying we all read the same studies but how we interpret them can differ immensely. It’s so easy to misrepresent what the science says which Jeremy Either has done a number of times. Unfortunately unless people have a statistics degree or have experience in study design most people are not capable of interpreting the results of a study accurately which is one of the main reasons there are so many myths in the fitness industry,

I think with fitness we need to understand that yes there is a science behind the foods we put in our bodies as well as the exercise that help us get to the body/fitness goal we want to achieve, but it also has alot to do with how consistent we are with our fitness and diet as well as genetics & understanding that each person is different, so a diet that might work for me might not necessarily work for someone else. Plus diets and routines always switch up because our bodies are always changing. We try so many workout routines that we see online most times to help us achieve that summer bod which is like for just a few wks or couple of mths or a specific period of time for but then what happens, do we stay consistent with the exercises afterwards. I always say exercise can be any form of physical activity but if you're not liking I you more than likely not going to stick with it. So find something that works for you.

I absolutely love you will and your personality. I’ve been going to the gym and living my healthy lifestyle for a little over a year now. And I found your channel like a month ago and have damn near watched every single video and love them all. Make your cookbook I’ll buy it. I try the free recipes you give. Open your restaurant, if it’s possible I’ll go too and order your favorite dish and it better be donuts.

Your point at the end is the most important and one that should be repeated by all of those people constantly.
If all of these things are making you miserable causing you to miss workouts or lose sleep (some people are susceptible to GERD if they eat too close to bed time) then they are wildly sub-optimal for you.
And if we are honest, much of this is utterly unnecessary to fret over until you've been lifting consistently for 3-4 years and you are getting near your genetic limit.
If you've been lifting less than that, you can be less than optimal and still see a lot of results. The important thing is being cognizant of your caloric intake, 150 minutes moderate intensity or better cardio a week, lifting enough times a week to train each muscle group twice with 15-20 sets total. Usually 3 to 5 days a week for most people.
All of this stuff is for when your at the point of trying to squeeze a mile into an inch.

Hi there Will, I loved the video but it’s very important that when you state that something is “studied”, “according to science” or “science based” you would have to at least put the papers in your video description. This will make the video even more convincing and reliable :)

So while there is no “upper” or “lower” chest, the pec is made up of different fibers. The clavicular fibers coming from the collarbone and inserting on the humerus, and the sternocostal fibers coming from the sternum and inserting on the humerus. Different exercises may bias some fibers more than others, but it’s still all the pec major.
