    I love Jeff. Always polite, always respectful and mindful of all things that involve training, not just the physical, and always backing his facts with studies and using critical thinking to interpret them. He is a good reference for anyone looking for information on how to start themselves off with fitness.

Keep it simple, work harder and don’t complicate things, calories in and out, get your protein, good form, track progressive overload. All of that made my return to gym so much easier. 13 years away because of a rare heart disease and defibrillator pacemaker. In remission from cardiac sarcoidosis and no longer pacemaker dependent or getting shocked 5 times so I’m back 7 weeks at 39 recomping. 140 pounds skinny fat so just trying to get aesthetic by summer and continue to lean bulk from there. That protein recommendation he gave to my knowledge is for when you’re on a calorie deficit. He has a video on it since ppl had issues with how high it is. Vids were talking about “body recomposition” losing fat while building muscle, basically just being on a calorie deficit. One of the studies he shared capped at 1.4 per pound of lean mass for a calorie deficit of 1000 depending on leaness and he went up to 1.6 based on his own theories but the idea is basically just the leaner you and higher the deficit the more you need. That’s why it’s a lot easier to do smaller cuts. While at maintenance calories you don’t need more than 0.8 grams per pound of lean mass. 180 pounds at 10% body fat for example would put you at about 130 grams daily. Less than people tend to think is needed which is a good thing, assuming you’re actually absorbing it

    I both and read the whole nutrition guide form Jeff and I think it is fantastic, as beginer it actually helped understand a lot how I should eat to build muscle. Loved it. I thought it was expensive, but let me tell you it is worth every penny. And seeing Will review it and having such a good opinion of it made me feel I was looking at the right things as well.

      @@Grade.patrick Because of the way it's set up (4 full body days for a week / Upper lower for another) I've experienced good growth on my legs and glutes but most of all the chest.
      And the fun thing is that it got me chasing strenght, not looks so while I'm still getting great gains while getting a bit leaner (that's due to nutrition tho) I'm not obsessed by my looks.
      I go to the gym, strive for a number, hope to get it.

    • @aaronwwilliams
      @aaronwwilliams 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bellamybomb Every TH-camr has the option to either show or hide their subscriber count from viewers. Most all of the TH-camrs show their count, especially those with large ones, to show off how popular they are, and higher sub count channels generally get more views because, hey, they must be good if everyone is watching.
      From the very beginning Will made a point to say he wants his videos to speak for themselves and he doesn't need a high sub count to drive viewers, so he hides it. He also has said he will reveal it at some point, seemingly when he hits a major sub goal, like 1 million perhaps.

    Try some oats, sugar free blueberry maple syrup, fudge brownie protein powder, and a scoop of Greek yogurt. If you’re like me and enjoy maple a lot, grab a zero calorie/zero sugar maple extract and put two drops in. It’s like 500-600 calories all together and around 50g of protein. Spice it up and add some fruit - remember, the blueberry maple syrup already gives it that fruity flavor. You could also add an egg for creaminess and extra protein/fat. I do this for my bulk with some coconut oil as well (I add two servings of oats. On my cut I just add one). Thank drunk me - made that when I was drunk but still wanted to do a workout lol. Best thing I’ve ever had for breakfast/pre workout 😂
