  • Do you find Christians judgmental, hypocritical, arrogant, and even hateful sometimes? As a Christian, I do too. In today's spoken word poem, I address certain followers of the Christian faith who anger me. And yet, it's not all hatred. I needed to apologize to them as well.

I'm a Christian, but this video was so interesting. I believe that no matter what you believe in, you shouldn't go forcefully imposing it on others, sadly i know that many people who claim to be christians do just that.

Coming from a Christian, the Bible calls us to love, my personal belief is someone who spreads hate isnt a Christian.

My father is the Christian you have described here. It is hard to find myself when he openly bashes the things for which I stand for. This hit home so very hard

My brother (an agnostic) and I (a Christian) were just talking about this at dinner tonight. He said it's not a lack of desire, interest or belief that keeps him out of church, it's Christians (who aren't like me, who is more accepting and loving toward him and others). I had no argument I could raise because I agreed that often it's other Christians that have kept me out of church. Thank you for this.

Guys, remember Romans 1:29-30. ‘Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, deception, malicious behaviour and gossip. They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning and they disobey their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless and have no mercy.’

To keep it Short, I’m sorry but this must be said, the ones who give Christians a bad rep are the Christians who don’t really walk the way of Christ and read their words but are ready to argue and put people down instead of coming towards everyone in love.

I'm a Christian and I mostly agree with this. "Christians" whether true ones or not can be the most judgemental, hypocritical, conceited people out there. I sin just like anyone else, who am I to judge? I may only sin in different ways than you. That does not make me any better. The only difference between me and those who are lost is that I have the blood of Christ to cover my sins. Anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Remember that Jesus did not get along with the religious leaders of his time, and was friends with sinners.

I honestly don't care if they hate or love me even if my entire world or family hate me I know my real family in heaven doesn't hate me

"I'm not that type of Christian" I literally say that all the when I'm trying to invite people to church, and they think church is a place where they're going to be judged for what they've done, because yeah some Christians are mean, I get it. That's what my channel is about, motivating people to move towards God, rather than making them feel more alone than ever.

I'm Catholic, I'm a future priest, and I would like to say I did understand your point and I think we have to go back to the origins, as Jesus says on " Loving the others as we love ourselves"!

I'm a Christian, but I'm so mad at Christians right now. I have a whole list of problems that they know about and yet all they can tell me is I'll pray for you. Do you think any of them will actually come and physically help me make phone calls, figure out some of these problems, be useful. I know a lot of really useless Christians because all they can tell me is they'll pray for me. Those are actually really upsetting words from a person who will not actually help you. I have been going through a storm of problems for years. When I ask for help there's always some reason they can't help me, but they'll pray for me. [RAGE!!!!]

I once debated a Christian on the topic if p***philia is morally wrong. I am convinced that it is.

  • @the-aphelion-archives

The line “don’t hate the believer, hate the judgement” gives me CHILLS. My guess is it’s meant to mirror the phrase “don’t hate the sinner, hate the sin” and it’s a perfect way to flip around a phrase that’s often used to justify harm

I’ve been struggling with these feelings for 8 years. Before I was an on fire Christian, but then I met my husbands family who are all Apostolic. They made be feel so bad and heavy inside because I wore makeup and cut my hair and didn’t wear long skirts and long sleeve shirts like them. They made me cringe inside every time I was around them yet they wear the label Christian sooooo loud. Thanks for this video Jon!

i love this, i’ve had such a hard time finding a place in my church and finding peace in my relationship with God. I’m so young, only 14, but I’ve found God and I love him. It was so unsettling when I started seeing toxicity more and more. I thought always, “if they’re christians, this must be what’s right, right?” but my guilt told me it wasn’t. I’m glad someone has addressed this, thank you

This was a bold move Jon. Thank you for being honest and transparent. The world could use a lot more of that. Keep up the good work man. Proud of you!
