In this video, we go over a topic that many people graze over but don't really conquer. What in the world is a Natural Number? What's a Whole Number? We say Integers all the time, but how do they really differ from Rational numbers? And what in the world is an Irrational Number?
We find out in the end that these number classifications sometimes wrap around each other (as larger classifications of numbers altogether). Let's learn about all the different types of classifications of numbers for the Real Numbers!
Is it weird that Math TH-camrs can explain the topics in math more specifically for only minutes?
While my math teacher explains for an hour and yet we can barely understand because he/she is not being specific
Cuz yt is love
I love this comment
Remember that your Math teacher taught the topic to a bunch of students who don't have level of knowledge and grasping. He/She might have made sure that everyone has understood to an extent and then he went to next topic
they probably do it on purpose
Fact
I wish my math teacher talks like you, calm and very understandable not like him rapping a song that he only knew😂😢😭
JIis4KOOKonly hi
Dont insult teachers...they teach according to their styles pl
@@Srrktutorial they could go a bit slower doe
we just dont know that some teachers are rappers :)

You and mitzu are both goats as well. Thanks so much for the timestamps!
thanks
0 which type of number!!!!
@Palash Barman 0 is a rational number, integer, and whole number. 0 is rational because it can be represented in the form p/q, q≠0 i.e. 0/1=0.
Me: Holy cow, I actually understand all of this.
Brain: Not by tomorrow you won't.
@Emily Sharpe rude...

Natural Numbers - 0:31 | N | Only positive whole numbers. 1,2,3,4,5 - Does not include 0 nor decimals.
Whole Numbers - 1:15 | W | Natural Numbers + 0. 0,1,2,3.
Integers - 2:46 | Z | Whole numbers + Negative numbers. No decimals or fractions. -2,-1,0,1,2.
Rational Numbers - 3:22 | Q | Whole numbers, negative, positive numbers fractions and decimals. For fractions both must be integers to belong to rational numbers. 9 over 2, -2.6, 1 over 2, 3.3, 4.
Irrational Numbers - 6:04 | P | Unlike any of the above numbers. Constant decimals. Pie = 3.141… Square root of 2 = 2.718…
Great video!
You are better than my teacher, thank you very much❤️
So true
True
He is like my teacher
Mostly. TH-cam video are. Better than out teachers XD
Are u from hyd?
I love how im supposed to be paying attention to this but all im focusing on is the editing, i keep thinking "Thats an interesting effect, wonder how you do that"
Lol😊😉😀
Why only focus on the editing, it's great tho...but the teaching is the most important.
ikr like bro that tree doe-
The reason this is better is that:
When we don’t quite understand, we watch the video again. But with the teacher, he won’t repeat everything.
Also, this is so much more specific than my teacher.
For this reasons, some schools have adopted blended learning or flipping the classroom. This is where teachers make their own videos for the students to watch and rewatch if needed.
Omggg this man is a life saver and I'm not talking candy...I went to all his videos and it's like he's re-teaching all the things we didn't understand in high school and is helping us pass....man after years and years going to TH-cam and searching up my math subjects I've finally found a phenomenal video..so thank u so much💯
I feel smart cause I really get all what you've said in this content, keep it up!
You uploaded this in 2017

You should pay attention on some question traps:
√9 looks like Irrational. actually is not because √9 = 3 . So its a rational.
π/π also looks like Irrational. in fact π/π = 1 so its a rational too.
Nice explanation
I'm studying for the state testing for my teaching credential. This was so helpful! Thank you!
I have seen different videos on this subject. I choose this video to upload for my students because he uses pictures the way I teach and his use of geography is innovative!
Thanks for sharing!
You are welcome!
This Video teaches more than our subject used to teach us... Simply this is what I call the real CONCEPT....
I have a test tomorrow thank you so much you saved me
saved my life. thanks! had no idea what my teacher was even talking about. and im too afraid to ask questions. ty so much
4 years later and this is still really useful.
The fact that he teaches better than my teacher
btsluttt on ig wait do I know you?
This is soooo much more helpful than my math teacher. Test tmrw probably wud hav failed. I LEARNED MORE FROM THIS THAN I HAVE IN THE WHOLE FREAKING MONTH IN MATH CLASS!
Thank you so much, I’ve struggled with math my whole life and you just helped me succeed at this section of math. Thank you.
No problemo!
literally love this guy this helped so much??? thank you! the transitions and effects are very smooth and easy to follow, helps me to understand more fully!
We'll be sure to tell Mike that he's got a supporter =)
why are you guys not uploading more videos and wth is this channel not popular this was the most easiest way any one can teach and the quality is just too perfect too plzz dont give up on this channel i usually never comment on a video but i just felt really sad that youtube is not promoting this channel and people are missing out on such a wonderful opportunity to learn
I show this video every semester when we talk about the classification of numbers and then we do some practice. RARELY do I have students misunderstand vs when I taught it myself (even though I drew the same diagrams on my board) I would commonly have students confused. Sometimes youtube is just better! Thanks nerdstudy!!!
This is the best math lesson I've ever seen and I understood it in every easy and simple ways, thanks @nerdstudy
You've really helped me
I will never forget these concepts in my life😊☺
Thanks for a great refresh!!! I'm going back to school after 20 years!!
Its never too late! That's awesome to hear and good luck!
Great video! Loved the graphics shown. I could not understand what my teacher wanted to explain... he just talks too much. THIS IS SHORT, SIMPLE, AND TO THE POINT.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You are literally the best math teacher!

Thank you very much! Your video was very helpful to me. I’m glad you used the symbols for the classification of number sets because I did not know what “z” was when I took my math praxis 5169 exam.
Awesome! Glad it helped!
I would’ve failed this class if u hadn’t made this video so thank you
You are awesome for this upload! The memorization tools you used will avail a great deal. Thank you, be blessed yall, and study up.
When I was in high school I memorized this number classification and I had many questions about this number classification. Finally I have the solution of every question.
Absolutely amazing, explained very simply and it was very easy to understand. Keep it up
I seriously like the animation and sound effects, of course the lesson as well
This explanation can not be done any better. Absolutely amazing job 👏
That is the best explanation of anything I have ever heard. Thank you.
My teacher explained this in 40 minutes but i didnt get the concept this guy explained it in 8 mins i got it clear.
You are a very good tutor
Honestly, I don’t know why do I automatically get so much focus on videos but not in school😂😂😂😂😂
😂🤣
I am brand new to DAW and soft soft - these tutorials are excellent an very helpful to get soone like up and running. Appreciate
Thank you so much, I have a test tomorrow and this helped me so much
BRO YOU ARE SO GOOD AT EXPLAINING THINGS
I am your brother! - Mike
It takes many people to make this video (more than just mike) some of them would be your sister!
You Make Math Sound so Clear. Big Thank you
Worthy of praise explanation of numbers.
This is really helpful. I left my notes at school and hadn't been able to get them because of this pandemic... I've forgotten about this and I need to remember it for an online quiz. My teacher is great, she may be strict but in a fun way so we like her. She makes students that haven't passed the STAAR test in years and make them pass. And it's been proven. I'm my experience, I learned nothing in seventh garde but learned a lot this 8th grade year
Liked and subscribed.I will get A+ in the test this Monday, thank you.I will tell this later that why do i think you did a great help to me.But thanks again. You are indeed a great teacher.Helped me a lot.
I have decided to go back for my teaching degree, and this is part of my current study. This is a wonderful refresher! Thank you.
Thank you so much! This video is a life saver. I was so confused & you helped me understand it better. Now, I can do great on my test
Thank you for helping me with my test
3:37 Why are the terms "p" and "q" - specifically - used to denote the two integers?
Not too sure how it is that so many people ended up using p and q, but you can easily use 'a' and 'b' instead.. or for that matter any two letters for the variables! In the same way y = mx + b (the m is the slope but you could technically use a different letter, like 'g' for 'm' and 'u' for 'b'. But somehow we all ended up using the same letters over time!)

Great, thanks for the info!
All videos that I find is not understanding but I understand your video. Thanks man
OMG thank you so much!! I couldn't understand this lesson since my internet was low and I couldn't attend my class
I might need the properties of real numbers.
Hello sir you r great you have just cleared .y concepts in only 7 mins i hope you be my maths teacher.....
thanks man, i slept in class and you saved me
I really needed this to understand mathematical notation. it is very clearing.

This is sooooooo helpful as even in 11th grade I always get confused in this very basic thing called classification of numbers 😭😭 Thank you so much
❤ very clean and clear explanation of number classification. Teacher Training Colleges should take note of this presentation. 👍👍👍👍👍
Brilliant ! Thanks for long I had a doubt on this concept, now cleared!!
Great to hear!
This is really awesome .. It magically helped me in understanding the number classification.
This is the best representation and explanation I’ve ever seen. Good job!
Thank you, this video was the most helpful explanation I have found on classifying numbers. you did a great job at clearly explaining how different classifications of numbers contain each other.
😩😩 this man is a life saver
I remember learning this in class years ago and it was super hard im now just realizing how easy this is because of a teahcer like you
Admit it.... You're here because you have math homework and you don't understand it
Your right
holy moly, you have no idea how much this helped me
His teaching is Soo good if anyone has any problem in math he's there for you 😊
OMG!!!! You ROCK!!!! I've been going NUTS trying to understand this. Thanks.
Everyone in the comments. It's not only the teacher, its just active listening because it is a video online you can replay again and again, however, you are not allowed to record lectures or replay the lecture since it's not a video.
Note: I don't have active listening but I'm just saying. Since you can replay it, it's easier to understand.
Very nice video to learn rational number
This guy is good.good job 👍👍☺️you should be a school teacher
This video was really helpful.
Thank you Nerd study 😊😊
This made a huge difference!!!! Thank you very much!!!
