Good work but when are you guys going to do the "Top10 Hoyt Cladwell Tractors'? You know, the brand Oliver Wendall Douglas used in Green Acres.

Massy's were solid tractors my dad had a 33, but it steered like a log wagon. It ran real good though. It would about break your arm. I watch for Sis. 😉

The 101 is such a sleek looking tractor. I never knew about the Chrysler Industrial engines in them. Neat! I may have a new favorite tractor brand 😁

You have very good speaking ability I heard everything you said didn't have a problem listening to you one bit and I am a fan of the Massey Harris I've never owned one but I do like them my dad used to point goes out as we went around the neighborhood along with the cock shots and the co-ops in the 1970s all three of those are decent tractors we had John Deere's and Allis Chalmers he always did the same thing for the farmalls good video thank you

I have a 1949 Massey Harris 30 standard that my grandfather bought new. My dad and I restarted it a couple of years ago. Still runs great and the engine has never been rebuilt.

The 101 Junior is my favorite Massey-Harris tractor. A friend of mine, Max Snider, restored one, and it was always my favorite tractor at our club's annual show. It was beautiful and I love the sound of the Continental engine. I always looked forward to seeing it. Sadly, Max passed away, but the tractor remains in his family and is currently owned by his granddaughter in Florida.

I’ve got a MH pony that I’m currently in the middle of restoration. I grew up with it sitting in my grandpas garage. When he passed away I had a opportunity to acquire it so that’s what I did. I’ve had it for 13 years now and finally have time to restore it due to retirement. I’m definitely enjoying the experience and think of the time spent with my grandpa working in his garage on any and everything.I’m sure glad you put the pony at # 1 because for me it’s the best thing I own.

    Excuse me for asking.
What's the difference between the shade of yellow used for Massey Harris and Deere agriculture yellow??
    They look similar to me.

they were made before my time but I still remember them when I was a kid in the 197OS mom dad bought a 44 GAS ROW CROP brand new when they a dealer in town OMG 11 9 2O22

Just to clarify, the 44 was neither 6 cycle (which would be weird, no?), nor 6 cylinder. The gasoline and diesel 44 models came with 4 cylinder 259 cubic inch Continental engines. The 444s had slightly larger Massey Harris 4 cylinder engines and the addition of a high and low range to the prior 5 speed transmission. Entertaining to see all the old models nonetheless. 🙂

I didn't vote on any of these because I have absolutely 0 experience with Massey Harris equipment except that I HAVE heard of the Pony. I did enjoy the video though.
What's going on with Sis' tractor?

I bought a farm with a Massy Harris 44 Special buried in a collapsed barn. I got it out, got it going and will be giving it a run today. I am a new farmer and dont know anything about tractors but am looking forward to seeing what this 44 Special can do. Is there a website i can look uo to see the average market value in Canadian dollars?

mustang?? the colt was built 52-54, - 1600 built with a 126 cu in continental. it was basically a 21?i have one with a m-h loader, 3 pt hitch. 98% original, 6 volt etc. runs great. the mustang was a colt with a larger cu in engine? it is hard to find much on this model. when it gets around 10 degrees sometimes it needs a little starting fluid.

I've got a 1945 Massey Harris 102 JR, the export version of the 101 JR, also it's the TVO version.
Pretty rare tractors here in Sweden, but I like it a lot, it's a fun little tractor and it's got pretty good power for being rated at only 27hp. If anything I'm really missing a road speed in the transmission, it's very slow, and also the steering is the worst I've ever had to handle, it's very heavy to turn and the turning radius is horrible!

Good intro to Massey Harris ... we never had any on the farm which was Farmall, Allis Chalmers, Ferguson pre-MH, and Oliver. Must not have been any local dealers.

We had a 44 and a 33 on the farm. There was a 101 Senior but it never ran that I remember. A neighbor had a 22.

Go to tractor data look up the model that you have and at the bottom of the page will be serial numbers that will give you what year your tractor is

I have owned my Massey Harris 101 Jr for 25 years. I would think it's ranked pretty good! I traded a 20 Gauge Remington Wingmaster with a AAA Trap Grade BDL stock on it. It still runs and I need to replace the exhaust header. I have a new Carb for it I got from California and I have had a new oil pump and gear in it and the radiator core has been redone. I really don't do anything with it anymore and would love to find someone that could get it running nice again. It has a fairly new pressure plate on it and a fairly new water pump. I live in Southeastern Illinois not far from Terre Haute , Indiana.

Those Challengers are such an odd looking tractor in any of their configurations, especially the one with the single front tire. I have never seen one in all my travels. Does a 14,000 production total make them rare?

    • @americanagsolutions
      @americanagsolutions ปีที่แล้ว

My dad has a challenger with a single wheel. I believe there were only 2 made. One styled(red) and one unstyled(green). Its definitely a rare tractor!
