- Jaguar is moving towards electrification. The F-Pace SVR will be one of those performance vehicles that will be remembered. Under the hood is a 5.0L supercharged V8 pumping out 550HP. On the outside you will find full functional venting and quad-tip exhaust. On the inside you will be greeted to a full leather interior with performance seats. Is the Jaguar F-Pace SVR the KING of luxury performance SUVs?

There definitely is a hint of supercharger whine when you are ON THROTTLE. Man. I will be so sad when no one can buy a vehicle like this.

That color is perfect for this beast of a cat! This is one of my favorite jags! Love that exhaust sound too. You get to hear the snap, crackle, and pop!

Guys, that vehicle is NOT a 2022 model. It has the old tail lights and the old touchscreen navigation system. The 2022 model has the updated Pivipro curved touchscreen.

I have to say I’m confused. I had one of these and it was a 2020. This looks just like it. The 2022 has revised double J headlights, those wheels have been replaced and the interior has been redesigned with a new shifter and a completely new infotainment with a huge curved screen and removed a lot of the push Button controls. I hate to ? But This is not a 2022. Shame on that dealer for saying so.
I have a 21 svr and this is definitely an older one and not 22. The front and rear lights are older and hood does not extend all the way to front.
I said the exact same thing. The hood line comes down to the grill now and those are old wheels. Front bumper cover is a 2018
And how in this limited car market does a used Kia dealership have a new ‘22 SVR??? Lol! He got this one wrong. Definitely a 2020 or earlier. Only thing that’s carried over from 2020 is the engine, horsepower has been 550 since 2019…so even that he kinda got wrong, saying it’s 50 more hp?

Joe, unfortunately you've been dooped. Despite you talking about the changes to the headlights, grille etc.. this isn't a 2022 SVR, it's a few years old, a 2020 at latest. I know because I have this one. The 2021 and newer models have modest exterior changes but a far better interior.
Right! I know I'm not crazy. Jaguar redesigned their SUV lineup for the '22MY. This is not a '22. This is a pre-owned vehicle

@@chadotis8416 certainly older but I don't mind the infotainment at all. It's not that bad now that it's had all the software updates. Not super intuitive but no lag and very practical.
Yep, I have a 2020 SVR…they updated in 2021. This definitely NOT a 2022. Power is still the same though;-) Joe reviewed a 2021 last year on this page…I’m over here thinking, come on Joe you know better!

@@pedrogriffin1934 I agree with Mr. Raiti...great questions, indeed. Yes, you can wrap and coat at the same time. You apply the wrap and then you coat over the wrap (the wrap provides physical protection and the coat provides chemical protection and also helps the water and dirt fall right off). In my case, my choice was a 5-year wrap, a 5-year wrap with a coat on top, a 10 year wrap that has a coat built into the wrap, or the same 10 year wrap with a coat built in, but I also do a dedicated coat on top. I thought the last option was overkill, so I went with the 10 year wrap that has the coat built in. My wrap is from STEK. I wrapped the entire car, including the windshield. I also put a 70% (super light) tint on the inside of the windshield for SPF protection. The other windows were tinted at 35%. I didn't want to go too dark, I just wanted some darkness and it enhances the overall aesthetic.
I coated the wheels with Modesta. That protects them from hot dust from the brakes and it also ensures that the dirt comes off super easily.
The only other modification I did was I smoked out the side blinker lights because they come orange out of the factory.

This is definitely a 19 or 20 SVR not the new model. You would think Joe would know since he’s already done multiple reviews on the 21 SVR 🙄

This isn't the current model, it is the old model. The new model has been out since 2021 and is improved in pretty much every way to this one.

Yep, 2022 was a refresh year. You can see it in the black trim framing the front intakes and the rear taillight integration with the body.

I personally have the 2021 version and its absolutely amazing, they completely nailed the exhaust sound, I get so many individuals telling me how much they love the sound from BMW, Porsche and many other car owners, this has tons of power in my eye and is very fun, 180 as a top speed may be a misprint as I left 180 behind lol.

Beast of a car. Interior is a slight let down but they've fixed that in the update, beautiful inside and out now. Would love to see you review the updated SVR Joe. This one is pre-facelift.
I had a 2018 and loved it. Would still have it if someone didn’t hit me. Had to total it. And mine was Crimson blue which is just a beautiful color.

He even mixed up/made up numbers - the facelift 2021+ models, which are quicker than the pre-facelift models, do 0-60 MPH in 3.8 seconds NOT 3.5? Where did that number come from? What gives Joe?

It’s super sharp and clean looking. I’d agree with some carbon-fiber around places, also mpg of 15/22 isn’t bad for what you are getting with the suv.

One thing I wished they kept was that YELLOW upgraded brake calipers that they had back in 2018ish on the SVR's. Those look fantastic behind the wheels. Not a fan of the current brake setup.
The F pace has never had yellow calipers
True story: Every time I see a Jaguar, I remember in the late 80s/early 90s when most offices had gone smoke free. Working in an industrial area in a large city, we still had a few that smoked at work. The 60 year old lady next to me sat in her cubicle wearing fish net stockings, mini skirts, and smoking her cigarette using one of those long extensions. She drove a Jaguar with a license plate that said BIG CAT. She was a trip. The car looks good, but I am totally scarred from ever driving a Jaguar.

Wow best of both worlds 5L v8 for Dad, boot/ trunk space for shopping for the wife and still go out as a family. The only other way is the same engine in the 2 door F type.
My 2011 XJ SC has "12/10" on the sticker... almost TWELVE years since this 470 hp land missile left the factory. Only have replaced the water pump at 80K miles. That AJ V8 and ZF combination is like a Toyota Land Cruiser and I don't trust the BMW V8 they are going with after this year. Gonna give the XJ to the teenagers and get the F-Pace SVR before it's gone forever.
This isn't a 2022..... in the new model, the hood line is gone and the front trim around the intercoolers is changed... those aren't even one of the 3 wheel options...
Not to mention that's the old infotainment system and not the new pivi pro...

This Jag looks sleek and really attractive! My favorite part was the v8 roar! Joe to be honest, it scared the living daylights out of me hearing it for the first time! Lol This is one mean 😺.
I wish I still had my XK120 roadster with a fiberglass bubble top, side curtains and a little water when it rains. A roaring standard exhaust, great engine with enamel exhaust manifold and high polished valve covers.

I am a 2018 F-Pace S owner same color as this one and at the time the SVR was only rumored to be happening. I recently went to purchase the 2021 F-Pace SVR and to my shock it was literally snickered at $84K loaded and I was willing to pay full price yet it was dealer marked up $60K over sticker for a total of $144,000. So needless to say I passed on it because each one that came in was always dealer or as they all say “Market Markup” $30-60K. So I ended up building and buying a 2022 Chevy corvette fully loaded for MSRP.damn does that cat roar with the quad exhaust though!!!!!

Great reviews!! But i noticed some things about this vehicle. I was checking to see what was different about the 2022 model from my 2021. If it wasn't for the infotainment screen, I would think that I was looking at a 2019-2020 model not a 2022 model. I own a 2018 S model and a 2021 SVR. This vehicle shares a lot of the "old" styling that my S model has, and not the remodeled style introduced last year. The window switches have returned to the top of the door? The 2021 remodel hood was extended all the way to the grill, the older style was like this model. The A/C controls were changed to digital dials last year, but this 2022 has the old style up and down arrow buttons. Switching to Dynamic in my 2021 is with a rotary dial and again this one has the older push button style by the parking brake button. Just strange that they would go through a remodel and then revert to the old style a year later. 🤔

@@pg_8 That's the only explanation that would make sense. I'm assuming it was because he says that it is a 2022 model in the beginning of the video. I was also wondering if they even made a 2022 because of their transition to electric. I've heard that they were going to just sell the inventory that they had, as to make room for the new stuff arriving in 2025. Joe and Lori do a great job and review a ton of vehicles, so he may have been told this was a 2022 by the dealership. Plus I doubt a KIA dealership would have a 2022 model brand new, straight from the factory, with zero miles on it.

F Pace was facelifted for 2021.
Huge changes to the interior with the Pivi Pro multi function display.
It now looks very modern inside
Many improvements made to the 2021 MY vehicles.
Jaguar will keep making their current vehicles until they change to all new EV during 2025.

this is a bad SUV the look in & out 🔥 especially the seats and steering wheel but i didn’t hear you say ventilated or massage seats which should be mandatory on 90K

This has the same engine as my Jaguar xfr and it's an absolute rocket .. one of the best engines ever built. Joe. You should do classic rewind review of the xfr. That would be great! I would bring mine to you to use for the review!

We purchased brand new 2021 model. The battery drained after we left it park for three weeks because we have four vehicles, my husband broke his ankle, so we didn’t drive our Jag. We have the local guy to charge the battery for us. We decided to sell the car back to the dealer. I love this luxury car, but we don’t trust the battery.
Should’ve leased. Buying one out right is mistake. They are money pits and it has started after 3 weeks

First some constructive criticism, please just mention cruise control, lane keep assist and other driving features that these fine automobiles have or don't have. I'm thinking of purchasing a Jaguar F-Pace... I'd be new to the Jaguar family... like the Land Rover's, all I've ever heard about was the maintenance being an issue... If you've owned a Jag for a long time, have you had many issues with yours breaking down? Thanks

It's weird seeing a modern dashboard where you can clearly see the outline for the passenger side airbag. Looks out of place to me.
Hey Joe, I'm not sure who lied to you but this is not a 2022 SVR. You can tell by the headlights and the design of the hood that it's a 2020.

Great review! I have the pleasure of owning a "17 Jag F Type R with the same motor as this SVR and i definitely can hear the supercharger whine coming from the engine when im on throttle. Its definitely subdued but you can hear it
A spoiler on top of a spoiler, on top of a spoiler and the rear wiper isn't tucked away under any of them. 🤦🏻♂️
