    I just bought mine two weeks ago and this thing is an absolute monster. I drove pretty much all the competition before buying and the SVR was the stand out for me. Best looking, best responsive engine, huge amounts of torque anywhere in the rev range, nicest interior, most cargo space, hugely under rated and easily best performance vs dollars spent.

    As an F-Type SVR owner, I can confidently say the Jaguar lineup is criminally underrated. And thank you for mentioning the brilliant ZF gearbox. However, I understand when you two nitpick little things. JLR gets 95% of the "big things" right, such as engine/drivetrain, ride, fun factor, touchpoints, etc. But then they completely overlook small things all around the vehicle. It makes you mad....until you stomp the gas pedal. 😂 Nonetheless, thank you for getting the word out on this product. Whoever buys one will not regret it. 👍

    • @amathern
      @amathern ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @onefastboi14 I love it. I live in a climate with 5+ months of snow, so I have a winter set of tires and drive it all year long. I have a few other cars, specifically to haul the family around. But I have put a lot of miles on my F-Type and couldn't be happier. I've owned 20+ cars before the F-Type SVR and tuned most of them. But this one is bone stock - the factory did an excellent job on this car. Two thumbs up!

    • @onefastboi14
      @onefastboi14 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@amathern very good to hear! I’ve been thinking of doing exactly what you have with the winter tires. I’m thinking of going to colorado and Montana in the winter with it. Imagine it’d be perfect in that weather.

    • @amathern
      @amathern ปีที่แล้ว

      @onefastboi14 I am in Montana. With snow tires, the F-type is a blast. The AWD is the primary reason I got this car - I didn't want a garage queen. The other cars I was considering were a 991 911 Turbo, RS7, or M5 Comp. Like I said, I'm happy with my decision. Are there other vehicles you're considering?

    The burble tune is still 100% there hiding behind the US noise regulations that force the exhaust flaps closed even in loud mode. All of us new SVR owners permanently disable the exhaust flaps by unplugging the flap solenoids at the back and allllll the burbles, pops and cold start glory is recovered from the pre-facelift SVR :). And it’s still perfectly quiet with zero drone on the highway.

    I’m getting ready to replace my F-Type. Since purchasing it I’ve had 8 back surgeries and the next surgery will fuse the rest of my lumbar spine. So climbing into my Jag has become less fun. The F-Pace is on my short list and your review as well as other comments have pushed me over the edge. I think the whole F-Pace range is underrated. And the thing with the Macan is that space in the rear seats is dismal. Size-wise, the F-Pace sits nicely in-between the Macan and the Cayenne. Jaguar did a good job on the F-Pace, and the new one is even better. Relatively well-priced, too, as made clear in this review.

    X3M and mods > Macan turbo.
    70,000 for x3M (non comp) has more daily comfy seats, has smaller wheels so the awfully stiff ride is less stiff. Only benefit I see to a Comp is you can option it with a slick top.
    Downpipes, intake, tune, and MSS lowering spring that fixes the stiff ride, and you’ve got a faster version of a Macan turbo (now GTS) AND you get the usability of an x3 not the limited rear seat and trunk of a Macan… all for under 80k same as a base Macan GTS.
    Macan would be a perfect car but it’s impressive how much more space an x3 has over a Macan. Feels like you’re driving a Subaru Crosstrek can barely go to Costco without filling up your back seats

    Drove all the performance SUVs short of urus and chose GLC63s. The engine is more exciting to me. Though the svr was a wonderful thing

    • @randahlbeach

      The GLC 63S are wonderful (I prefer the coupe) just 1 challenge for me that was it's super stiff (for daily city driving) and the comfort mode needs to quiet the engine much more so not to piss off the neighbourhood.
      This SVR is absolutely gorg its just the amt of time (wasted) filling up b/c of that 5.0L
      I've seen a couple in Vancouver and they absolutely are STUNNERS to see. 1 was a White ext, 1 red and 1 black. Looks so sweet!!
      I have the X5 Comp 2020 b/c it has massaging seats. Not the best (Benz are the BEST) but due to supply issues I needed to pull the trigger sooner so I got the BMW. Nice ride🙂

      Urus is nice but hated dual touch screen interiors, no differentiation from Audi, and much higher price of entry. I went with the GLC 63 SUV and haven’t looked back. Renntech ECU kits boost power into 911 turbo S territory for very little coin!

    • @gouldnj
      @gouldnj 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same here. I drove all the small SUVs and the GLC63 was an easy choice for me. The BMW drove like a brick, Porsche was WAY overpriced (and slow), Jaguar U/I crashed twice on the test drive (and got 8.5 mpg), and the TrackHawk just felt like it fell apart when asked to turn. I put a Eurocharged tune on mine for E63S power and I could not be happier. In this class it’s all about emotion and owners are very argumentative about their purchases, but the Jag would not be anywhere near my top choice simply because of build quality.

      Ignoring brands that don’t make a similar vehicle,
      BMW, Audi, Jaguar, Mercedes, Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Land Rover in that order acording to whatcar.
      They’re all pretty similar now.
