- The Night Springs expansion is here and with it, comes three short episodes that do a really good job of tying threads together and laying new threads down for the community to speculate on.

I wish once we completed the DLC, we could’ve had the OG Alan outfit and a filter for the pink sky from episode one into the base game
Would be fun and add a little bit of replayability
I just noticed Alan with cat ears and the customer thanking Rose for saving all the cats. Jesse saved all the cats in the foundation and the cat board gave her cat ears.
Timebreaker was def the best one. Its just too sad that the murder case casey one got cut for obvious reasons.

I think you missed the point on the 3rd episode. Tim Breaker is essentially Jack Joyce, hence the emphasis in his relationship with "Jesse" or the red-headed woman. He's just one of the multiple versions of Jack. Hence the entire theme and music was very Quantum Break. They literally tied it with Quantum Break and Control. The metaphores were ALL there.
I caught the other time breakers calling him Joyce
Great fan service, I didn’t know this was coming up but I loved every minute of it. The breaker/door chapter was exceptional. I was so happy playing as Jesse since control is one of the best games I have ever played. Rose is so crazy on a good way and the least expected playable character ever.

I was underwhelmed and loved the fan service then I finished episode 3 and had to just say that they didn’t have to go that hard but they did. Awesome expansion, it’s just not very replayable sadly.
I was hoping for a bit more replayability, but there's not much wiggle room with how short each episode is.
Want a Time Breaker full game
I hate how the last episode was basically the length of the first two combined…. The third episode was soooo good it a shame the first two didn’t get the same treatment
For the price (the deluxe upgrade is currently on sale for I think $16 which also get you the next dlc so for the sake of argument, lets say this costs $8) its so worth it. Had a fantastic time and laughed way more than i was expecting.
I liked all of them but I rank rose # 1 with style, quantum break #2, and the control one #3

I love the idea of playable Night Springs episodes, i wish for some more and i laughed a lot, especially Rose's episode was so hilarious an funny. Great ideas and fan service.
Not finished time breaker yet and i couldn't play quantum break ever, so this one is a little bit less "genius meta reference i love it" for me but i like it a lot so far, a bit more than Jesse's episode. I think i would rank control 3rd, i love the weirdness and coffee world, i love control but Rose has the top spot for me 😅
might be worth you checking out Quantum break if you haven't already. its's a remedy game that is where the time breaker idea starts.
I love Quantum Break. I wanted a sequel.
I tried it but couldn’t get into it. I still believe Sam lake will be on par with the bast game directors and this dlc shows.
@cletokings4302 I was into the game until the final boss fight. I don't know about anyone else, but it felt like it was designed for you to fail. It was like Microsoft didn't *want* you to see the ending.
As someone who felt so so on Alan Wake 2. I have to say, I really enjoyed Night Springs, it managed to regain my interest in the game

Could been interesting as a wave based game mode teleporting you to different universes for levels . Really hoping the Lake House is more substantial and takes 5 hours to finish .
Minimum 4 hours. I'm hoping that the Lake House has substantial content....and an automatic shotgun lol
@@pixelatedthoughts I think it should set up that Alan Wake / Tim Breaker / Jesse are capable of stopping Door now but they each have to travel to different universes to figure out a solution . But that seems like a main big release thing and not a DLC , who knows
I NEED THE WAVE BASED GAME MODE
See this whole DLC confuses me because I can't tell if it's for fun or is lore based. I want to say it's just for fun because it's all so wacky, but it also makes sense for lore, since the FBC bought the entirely of the Night Springs show as seen in Control, and Wake saying at the end of The Last Draft that he's the Master of Many Worlds and he's the end character for all of these shorts, it's just all so confusing
I think it's a bit of both. I'd like to think The North Star is a prelude to Control. Jesse gets a tip from "Dylan" to go to New York, find the Oldest House, and the story for Control goes from there. I also think Time Breaker is going to be the closest we'll ever get to what a Quantum Break remake will be like.
There's a way to think about it as short stories Alan wrote of heroes trying to get him out of the dark place.
Although they don’t really state it in the expansion I believe remember said these are all previous attempts by Alan to escape the dark place
I played them on my channel. They were fun to play. Feels like the gun play and the power behind the guns was better now than in the main Slam Wake 2 game
It's a shame that the dlc is so short. I hope the second one will be at least comparable in size to the dlc for "Control".
It was pretty great, didn't expect it to shed much clarity, and it sure didn't, but was a lot of fun!

Was hoping for something with a bit more bite, it wasn't bad just left wanting more, hopefully the next one coming in October will be better.
Separate Ways was around half the price but was lengthy and had whole new areas so I hope we get a bit more next time.
