Sitting in that church just to close my eyes, the feeling was so light and pure. It is just like paper plane gliding on the air. The energy was so pure and light. You have to be there to experience it. I will be back there for sure.
I've been there and I agree, it is a ghastly piece of concrete, and I think it should be painstakingly removed so the natural beauty can be completely restored.
There is truly something special about Sedona. I’ve never felt more spiritually connected as I did when I visited Sedona. It’s absolutely crazy and indescribable. It was also an unexpected and undeniable feeling. Can’t wait to go back
Wow. I read today an article about portals and the name Sedona was there. I came to TH-cam to see where is Sedona and is impressive I had years ago an impressive lucid dream and this was the place! I was here in a dream! Jesus!
The chapel looks terrible. With it's brutalist and minimalist architecture, It completely contrasts the surroundings and just looks like a massive gravestone on the side of the hill.
That’s because it’s a monument to a de .ath god. The cross unfolds into a Saturn cube and is also placed inside a cube as well, which is a symbol of Saturn. This “chapel” is an abomination.
Are you looking to experience a spiritual awakening? Sedona, Arizona just might be the place for you. See what makes this mysterious land such a big draw to tourists all over the world, on #AerialAmerica bit.ly/1rTrB5d
Putting manmade building in this ancient beautiful place is as bad as the huge hotel complex at Uhluru in Australia. Sure aborigines are twirling in their graves as it is a sacred site to them
I've been to the chapel, but it wasn't until this video that I saw how out of place it looks. They could have incorporated it's design with the landscape, better. It's just kind of plucked down on the terrain. More of an interloper. And I am not anti-religious.
I felt the same way watching this. I've never been there, however. I don't understand the impulse to stick an large, unattractive building right in the middle of such a beautiful, natural landscape. It's nice for people to have a place to meditate, but I would think the entire area would be a great meditation space. Actually, I feel that being outside would be a better meditation space.
It’s modernism; minimalism. That was a very popular architectural style back then. It isn’t supposed to blend with the landscape but stand out and be very simple yet elegant.
South of Tucson off of 10 down a desert road theres a place where sound doesnt work it's a couple miles down a dirt road near Davis Monthan Air force base. We could hear our car running or even each other talking, moved back down the road a few yards and everything was normal. Ask why the government bought the "Bradshaw Ranch", just a few miles from downtown Sedona. I have traveled the World in business for 32 years, and have found Sedona, Az., to be the most beautiful area in the USA. While there, go to Oak Creek Canyon, up a few miles on Route 89 to "Slide Rock". A river with a natural slide waits for you to go swimming?

I live on the east coast and travel all over to hike in the mountains. i get the same feelings in other beautiful places whether its high above on a mountain or beside a waterfall.
Its a place of spiritual inspiration. Using the terms "energy" and "vortices of cosmic power" means they can be detected and measured. Which they can't. It's basically terms for magic.
The church is beautiful. And across the street there is this amazing home that has an observatory built into it. Sedona really is a magical place, and hope to revisit sometime soon.😎
What a horrible building, a blight on the stunning landscape "Let's build an unsightly, brutalist bunker right on top of 'gods' magnificent work. To ,you know, *appreciate* it" smh
I'm sure the natives love having a church right in the middle of their sacred grounds. It's not like they were forced to be Christian or else they would be killed. Or that Christianity was the reason behind manifest destiny. You know that genocide n what not. So thoughtful of them to do that that's the Christian way.
This video does no justice. If you’ve never visited, it’s not near as hideous as so many comments make it out to be. This church is absolutely gorgeous from the inside out and don’t even get me started on the view. If you’ve never been, visit with an open mind and I guarantee your opinion will change.
One little road in and very little parking. It was my least favorite experience visiting Sedona. There was no where to park but your stuck following the road to the top where you can barely turn around and head back down through the traffic.
