    I commented on your prior video and I'm glad to see you kept uploading. Your videos help a lot I can't want to watch them all! Thank you again for making videos like these!

    I’m looking to start my tech journey soon. Don’t have any IT certs though. Are there any you recommend I get before I start WGU? I plan on attending Sophia/Study to knock out prerequisites but I want to make sure I’m as prepared as possible. Thank you in advance.

    Good luck Cameron, Im starting this journey as well. I start WGU Jan 1st. Enrollment told me all transcripsts need be in by 30 NOV. I got 30 days to slay this beast.

      Just remember that it can take a couple weeks for WGU to receive your transcripts so you want to get them in as soon as possible. Worst case scenario, if they receive them too late, they either won't count or you'll have to push your start date to a month later. You still have time to get everything in order though. Good luck!

    Good luck Cameron. I start on Dec 1st. I was supposed to start this November but the transcript department at WGU is behind in processing and had no choice but to wait another month. Currently trying to go through the Network+ and PenTest+ online test preps hopefully get those certifications earlier on.

      @CameronEvolved  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've heard they can take a while to process the transcripts depending on how busy they are. I'm hoping I don't end up getting pushed back a month, but I know it's possible. 😒Good luck though! Studying early is a great idea!

    Good luck!!! I’m grinding out Calc and a couple of classes on study. I hope you get it all done!

    I'm really interested in hearing about your SDC experience, I'd be interested in a full video if possible!

    • @CameronEvolved
      @CameronEvolved  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I plan on doing a deep dive into my experience with both Study.com and Sophia (in separate videos) before my memberships expire. I just got to get through this last week first.

    I'm finishing up the database one on SDC. I'm submitting mine today and taking the exam tomorrow. I have the English II instead of English I to do. I may do that through Sophia. I'm behind you a little. I don't plan to start until March, so I have some additional time. I have 10 classes between SDC and Sophia to complete by then.

    • @CameronEvolved
      @CameronEvolved  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like you already have a great plan set up. You can totally do 10 classes between how and when you plan on starting WGU. Good luck!

    Thanks for the video, please do you know where one can do masters degree courses to transfer to her school ?

    • @CameronEvolved
      @CameronEvolved  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, no. You can skip some classes using IT certifications depending on the masters degree at WGU.

    Hey Cam thanks for the awesome vids 👌. My question was I intend to get the A+ Net +, Sec + and Cysa + including the 11 courses from Sophia and 6 from Study. I plan to do all of that on my own and then enroll into the Degree. Would that put me into the 75 percent completion ?

    • @CameronEvolved
      @CameronEvolved  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Every class and certification is weighed differently. They can give you anywhere from 3-6 credits per class. You just need to make sure you don't go over 75% of the total credits for whatever degree you are pursuing. If you're going the Bachelors in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, I think you'll come close to 75%, but again I don't know for sure.

    Starting to realize that If I want to do engineering I’d pretty much have to start as a freshman/sophomore. So I’m gonna attempt computer science. Call me crazy but I really want to do calc and discrete math. 🤷🏼‍♂️ most of the schools will not accept calc 1, physics 1/2, chem, toward a engineering program (because abet has to evaluate their stem program)

    • @Chill50318
      @Chill50318 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s not that these online sources are bad, it’s just they need consistency in their program.

    • @Chill50318
      @Chill50318 ปีที่แล้ว

      Give discrete math a try(after calculus) if you’re into programming. Even if you don’t get credit, it’s soo valuable

    English Comp II has been kicking my butt. I’ve been trying to get all of my papers written back to back so I can turn them in as soon as the previous one is graded. Who knew writing a college paper could be so tedious lol. Luckily I’m not on a time frame to get them done but I’m not trying to take my regular college classes and these Sophia ones at the same time… 😅

    • @CameronEvolved
      @CameronEvolved  ปีที่แล้ว

      Writing papers back to back was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Unless you're really interested in the topics, it takes a lot of motivation to get through it. Sounds like you have plenty of time to get them done though. Keep it up. You got this!

    Small world - I was in exactly the same place this week with all the same classes (except English Comp) but I'm trying to squeeze in for the 12/1 start date. I ended up dropping Network Forensics because the assignments were just too long. Best of luck to you!

      Good luck to you too! What degree are you going for? I'm going to assume by your name you're going for Computer Science?

    I just stumbled onto your channel because I'm thinking of going to WGU mainly for IT and looked at the cybersecurity side of it too. It is interesting you're putting this all out there and how you're deciding to go about it because it is quite informative for people looking into it. I haven't seen all of your videos but, I see that you have a lot of the certs already, are you already working in the IT field? Also, with all that certs does the B.S degree really help you?

    • @CameronEvolved
      @CameronEvolved  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've been working in IT for over 10 years. Honestly, the Bachelors degree might help me get passed HR filters, but I don't think it'll do much for my career at this point. My goal though is ultimately to get my Masters degree and before I can do that, I have to get the Bachelors so that's why I'm mainly focuses on getting it as fast as possible. You don't need a degree to be successful in IT, but I think this is the right move for me.

    All the IT classes and Math courses I can grind. Writing papers are my weakness… It’s been my wall. I rather take 3 comptia exams than writing 1 paper 😂

    How was calculus on Sophia?

    • @CameronEvolved
      @CameronEvolved  ปีที่แล้ว

      I took the college algebra class instead of calculus I at Sophia so I'm not sure how hard the calculus class is. The algebra class was harder for me than most classes, but I haven't taken a math class in a long time so that's probably why.

    • @daxonds1
      @daxonds1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CameronEvolved I just finished calculus on Sophia yesterday actually. HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing it on Sophia if you can. Was much easier than expected given the use of online calculators. Couldn’t imagine having to actually remember all of the formulas.

    What class did Workplace Communication knock out at WGU?

    • @CameronEvolved
      @CameronEvolved  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Introduction to Communication. I was originally going to use Public Speaking to knock out that class, but Workplace Communication was much easier.
