    2024 will be my grind year. Started my BSCS at WGU, your videos gave me some great insight on everything. My goal is to finish 61 CUs in 6 months.

    Outstanding content! I understand the whole "behind" feeling. I moved from aviation into IT security when I was 31. I was lacking the "help desk" type of knowledge and was thrown into management six months in. It always felt that I had to build two careers at the same time, the foundational knowledge + advantaged knowledge in parallel, which is a strange dynamic. You nailed it in 2023! The motto of your 2023 seems like "The Man in the Area" - Theodore Roosevelt

    Happy to see you accomplished so much. As far as being single for so long. I was single for a while. If I could give any advice for when you start dating I would just say make sure you're in a place where you make yourself happy to avoid co-dependency. Then when you do start dating take it slow, and give each other space so you have time to reflect and think about everything. Good luck to you man. Im looking forward to seeing you later this year! :)

      Thanks. I definitely needed some time to work on myself in the beginning. I had the opposite problem though. I was told that I was always too distant and not emotionally available. 😅

    Thank you for making this video and all the previous ones. You inspired me to go to WGU when I was contemplating on where to go to get my degree!

    Hey brother, I know you have been on the grind and I have been following your journey the whole way! I know you are a busy guy but I was wondering if I could reach out to you somewhere to talk to you about my journey in cyber security. I have 2 more classes left in my computer science degree at WGU and was wondering if you possibly could hop on a discord call or something and go over some cyber security stuff I am trying to plan out how I should tackle certain certs and what order etc. If you could facilitate that I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

    Cameron could you explain how you could get into GRC? What certs and experience?

    • @CameronEvolved
      @CameronEvolved  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I might have to make a separate video about this because it's a big topic and G, R, & C can mean different things depending on the size company. Most entry level GRC roles prefer you have experience with ISO 27001, SOC2, or the NIST frameworks, but it also depends on what industry the position is in (healthcare would include HIPAA, publicly traded companies would include SOX, etc). I can't think of any entry level GRC certifications and I don't they're required anyway for entry GRC roles. How I got into GRC was that I worked for smaller companies that forced me to learn GRC at the same time I learned Security Operations and Security Architecture. Smaller companies will make you do everything because they don't want to hire a full team of people 😂
