**Disclaimer** - I positioned the ZOOM recorder a bit too close to the china on David's right hand side. That's why you hear the cymbal distorting out during the song. I went ahead and posted this song anyway despite the distorted china cymbal because I felt that the energy and the vibe were there, and to me that is the most important thing. I love the very end when all you can hear is Mattie yell "Let's hear you make some noise!" Lol. Awesome video, David is amazing.

he used to drum for The Crimson Armada when they first started and recorded the album Guardians, the first CA album, i think he also recordred drums on the second before leaving, i'm not too sure on that though

For Today has needed to do something like this for a long while. I lost interest for a while until I saw this.
The best drumming is ALWAYS playing what's appropriate for the song...no matter how complex or simple that might be.

how was it recorded? zoom q3 or was it a normal zoom sound recorder and 2 cameras?
You should check out this band. They are pretty sick. They just came out with their new ep prevailer and its amaizing.
i feel silly asking this, but is the audio only from the ZOOM or is some other drum audio mixed in?
They need in ears or/and a click track when they play cause the tempo keeps going off

They didn't have the china in stock that he normally uses. he actually really dislikes this china. It says it on another video of his in the comments.
Well I'm glad he felt the same as me. hahahha. I wouldn't even use the china if this was what I was handed.

many things can be appropriate for a song. i'm not saying this was inappropriate. i'm saying it was uninteresting. i'm a huge proponent for groovy drumming that works with the track, i'm just saying: i found this drumming uninteresting. not trying to be a dick about it.
