Trying to hit those high notes are hard for him but he tries. From relearning the guitar due to cancer and losing his voice and beginning to regain it just recently to a degree for live performance is just amazing. Daves been through a hard life from being part of the biggest band in thrash history, being kicked, the drugs the alcohol. Hes had it rough.
He had neck surgery and the surgeon went through his throat to assess the damaged vertebrae. Doing so messed with his vocal cords.Timeline was right before big 4 NYC
@@yellowdog2181 I think they placed some tiny box in his throat, right? At least that's what I remember Dave saying in an interview before. His voice is lower as a result. The cancer didn't help too.

Playing that speed and the riffs is incredibly hard, and while singing to it.. He’s incredible.. And at this age and still doing it for the fans.. Dave rules!
His vocals are surprisingly good!
So happy they’re bringing more good songs to the set list not just hits

This song is disgustingly face-melting levels of heavy tuned down like this. Hearing it start up had me giggling like a madman.

Like seriously, 2023 lives don't compare to what we have now, and it seems as if Dave is only getting better at singing, and Teemu is just AMAZING on guitar.
I saw them live one month ago, and it blew my mind. Dave's voice was perfect, on recordings it sometimes isn't but it must be a mixing issue because I swear that man could sing every single song they played as it should have been. Aguante Megadeth!

@@danieldoloski6470 yes they started playing it again in 2021 on the metal tour of the year. Not sure why Dave said they haven't played in in a long time since they last played it in 2022. Maybe he confused it with Kick The Chair lol
