Thanks, Joey! I feel like I want to loop this clip for 10 hours and use it for all types of 'study-with-me', relaxation, focus, and ASMR stuff. The wheels, the city views, the technique, the speech content, the flow! So much pleasure at once!😄
As a fellow Florida inline speed skater (the generation just before you) and a Sports and Exercise Scientist, I really appreciate that you are created content that keeps skating alive and thriving while explaining some of the science behind training. Keep it up, dude!
A plethora of priceless information. Thanks! In a second video or indepth look into this one, It would be great to somehow get your point of view on what foods (diet) you use for flushing the junk out of your muscles (plus beta-alanine dosages) or what you suggest is good to help enrich your blood with oxygen. Then as for making a plan of attack for a race, what do you think about an Excel spreadsheet or google docs? Help give a visual of what nees to happen. And you say all of this while skating on the streets, blowing by cars, scooters cyclist at 30 mph and not breathing heavy, heart rate is probaly elvated to 70 bpm 😂 this guy is an alien. 💪 Thanks again!
Unrelated to a training programme. I just like speed & going far distances. I have 3*110 which i find nice & manouvrable, im thinking of getting 4*110 as it will allow me to go faster & furthur in the same time frame. Is it manoeuvrable for boot with ankle support?
Joey, how much you have care about supercompensation for speedskating ? Does long distance skating is completely useless for speed performance? Did you use the double push in this video? I'm also curious how you deal with food. P.S : It's fun because you shred man ! (Excuse my frenglish)
Supercompensation is the goal for any meaningful training program if you're trying to change your physiology. Long distance skating is an essential element if you want to be a well-rounded skater. I only got into the double push a few times for short spurts in this video. What specifically do you want to know about food?
Please use proper equipment. One manhole cover, rock or something could turn your knees elbows, wrists etc into road hamburger. Nobody is above the laws of physics.

longer than a car?
how often do you fall?
not as often as i should on speed skates probably. I crash a lot on my urban skates when trying new stuff

Joey's legs make me feel insecure about my masculinity
Are you using 100 or 110's wheels ?
