I would assume that you would need to file the I-130 by paper if you are filing concurrently with the I-485, as the I-485 is not available online. I was told that filing the I-130 online and the I-485 by paper would cause delays.
You are sooooooo right. We filed online and then our I-485 on paper. The “normal “ process took about 6 months to get an interview scheduled. When we got to the uscis office for the interview the agent sent us home because they did not have access to our online filed I-130. The first interview was scheduled for February and the actual interview happened on July 27. Suffice to say the interview happened after we contacted our representative and she helped us get our process moving.
@@ayafowze465 for me it could have been. The officer mentioned at least for him it was best when people filed everything together. Most of the interview time was him going through the I-130 online, not because there was a lot to check, it was because he said they are not as familiar with the process. Once he got to the paper I-485 everything was over in 5 minutes. As for the fiance visa I wouldn't know sorry, I filed for adjustment of status and the I-130 was required for my wife to petition me.

No definite answer but we chose paper filing. The notice of receipt came rather quickly, and we were given instructions on how to access our USCIS online account, which is nice because you can check progress and any requests for evidence online, as well as submit supporting documents online (if they request any). Our biometrics appointment occurred about a month after we submitted the filing. Now we're just waiting......@@kimberlybernal2877
The whole aspect of being able to send PDF, JPEG, etc makes online the winner hands down. No trying to put together huge files of proof of relationship is worth everything.
@@whidbeyrules5566 how would I be able to sign ? I saw some people saying that you were able to send it without signature and some others saying that you had to print it and then scan it?
@@EM-mw6et You sign digitally. If you need to add a document of some sort (the proof of relationship thing and whatever else) you can take a picture with your phone, then text the picture to an email address and add it to the submission. You can go onto the site and fill out most of the form before you send it in, it saves what you've done until the final submission. You don't have to actually scan anything at all, especially not the I-130 itself if you submit online.
I like your video as it explains several things. There is one great advantage of online filling compared to paper - that is You can submit the online form and then keep working on some left over documents and upload them as you go. You dont need to have everything all together to submit like in paper based ....which may take time to gather. Am I right ?

@@kyqorioskygo8999 Filing online allows you to submit your payment online as well , at the end of your completion of your form they will direct you to where you will make your payment by debit card of credit card. Hope this info helps you.
Is Form i130 filled out by the sponsor so sponsor must create a USCIS account for themselves to file online and i485 is filed under my wife’s USCIS account? Separate accounts file separate forms? Thanks for the video.
