A comment to Toyota who obviously made you pull your original videos; your actions do not promote goodwill towards your brand. With an RX, Sequoia, and Camry in my garage, you had a loyal customer. Viktor, great video. One question I had was why when you initially removed the overflow plug did you get so much ATF coming out? The fluid expands when hot and contracts when cold, changing the fluid level significantly. If you overflow when the fluid is hot, the level will be too low when it is cold. Your 350h hybrid however has a completely different transmission than what is shown in this video. Lexus does not provide a replacement interval for transmission fluid, saying it is "lifetime", whatever that means. Many people, myself included, choose to replace the transmission fluid approximately every 60K miles. As far as the "pressure tool", maybe the service advisor is talking about the filler pump for the fluid? They don't always know what they are talking about :)

On a non CVT transmission more fluid is in the torque converter I believe. So videos I saw repeated the the drain and fill 2 or 3 times. On your video you’re working on a CVT transmission so you only need 1 drain and fill to service it? Great video by the way. Thank you so much!

This video is for a regular 8 speed transmission. It shows how to do the drain and fill once. If you would like to replace more of the fluid, you can do the drain drain and fill multiple times, with just setting the fluid level once at the end.

One dealership told me they wont touch the transmission since it wasn't done on 30k intervals, but another one said "sure we'll change it, its good to change it". Researching it, people seem to have a issue with higher mileage transmission (+100k miles) fill and drains because it would remove too much friction material causing slipping issues? But I contacted lexus cooperate and they recommended anywhere from 50k - 150k miles, but they werent too confident haha. But with your input I'll go ahead and change it now! Thanks Victor!!!
