Korg SP170 / SP-170s No Power / No sound Repair

This Korg electric keyboard was brought in with a charging issue. Which when fixed also turned into a no sound issue. After researching this issue I found that this was a common issue and possibly caused by capacitors. Upon inspection I found that there were leaking capacitors on the motherboard. These were changed and back came the sound once again.

HI.I also have a sp170s.Recently I accidentally broke my power pack port and the inner part remained inside.Iwam willing to change the port inside the keyboard.So can i change the port without chang8ng the whole circuit?

Hi yes you can change just the port if you can find one that is similar to the original. At a push you could replace the port on the keyboard and the jack on the plug if not so they match.
As long as the port hasn’t been damaged I can probably remove the broken bit under the microscope. If you wanted to send me the board and charger in the post I can fix it if you didn’t want to try it.
To open it up you just remove all the screws in the bottom (around 30 of them) and the top lifts off. (Just one plug that goes into the circuit board)
