The Ultimate Guide to Minecraft Skyscrapers

Want to make your Minecraft skyscrapers more realistic? Then this is the video for you. Lots of different ideas and build tips for your inspiration. A very relaxing watch with lots of time-lapse footage and a different editing style which I hope you enjoy!
1) Starting off with a basic retro design. This is a useful style for if you're building an American city such as Pheonix, Arizona.
2) We use a simple method to build a cool glass curtain wall skyscraper. This is one of the most common types in real life but can be hard to build in Minecraft. Also lots of tips on how to add little bits of realism, such as roofs and elevators.
3) Let's add some diagonals with this next unique style that I haven't seen much of anywhere else! Inspired by California, we work on how to build striking silhouettes.
4) The type I would most recommend - skyscraper condos. I'll show you how to mix in balconies to make cool looking high-rise apartments.
5) I design my own Art Deco skyscraper. This is one of the most famous styles, but was very hard to capture in Minecraft, but the result is well worth the watch!

World Edit, useful for things such as rotation, moving and copying. You can get quite far using basic commands though (e.g. fill and clone)

Good question! The shaders I use in this video are BSL shaders, for a quick realistic aesthetic.
However in my more recent videos I've also been using:
- Sildur's Vibrant Shaders - for a more exotic and bright feel
- Complementary Reimagined - for a more Minecrafty shader

In vanilla, you can use /clone (co-ordinates of corner 1) (co-ordinates of corner 2) (co-ordinates of the north-west corner of where you want to paste the build)
However I use the mod world edit and the //paste command which is instead position based.
