Hey there, we are getting a vitara as well. What time of year did you go? We are looking to go to Askja and Landmanalauger. Was the vitara capable of both of those rivers easily. We are going September, so rivers should not be too bad unless it rains.
Hi Jacob, we went to Iceland three years ago, the two last weeks of august. We had no problem to cross rivers to go to Landmanalaugar and Askja with the GV. The only rivers this 4x4 couldn't cross was on the track to Thorsmork, where we had to give up our plans and find another place to go...
Hi, With the Suzuki Grand Vitara, we didn’t have any problem to go threw rivers in Laki, Landmanalauger and Askja. Laki was a little bit difficult, but not impossible. But, in Porsmork, we had to turn around before the end of the track, because of very large and deep river ( the Grand Vitara was a little bit too small for that). Howewer, river’s depth depends on the weather (rainy week or not) and the season (thaw), so it can change every year. For us, the weather was rainy, but we were in august.
Très fun cet angle de vue des Pistes Islandaises. Et je vois rarement de GV 2 en off road. Merci.
6:30 beautiful landscape.
nice video!
