You can add smears later to mimic motion blur, it will make movement more dynamic.

I love your setup it’s so minimalistic and it’s got a vibe to it 💯
When you reuse or reverse the frames, it feels like a game character animation. You can trace the frames you intend to reuse and give it a little variation to make it a bit more smooth.

It's funny how some people try to discourage you and tell you simply can't do that on a device like this. My girlfriend animated 8 minute long anime style school film on cheapest iPad 9.7 32gb and it looks freaking awesome! This just proofs you don't really need expensive tools nowadays to make a film on your own. Just a will! (and skill)

It looks pretty good, a lot of effort was put into it. I just feel like the action seemed pretty stiff to me. change camera angles etc might make it more dynamic.

It’d be pretty difficult to make a procreate only animation with the illusion of camera movements, since procreate doesn’t have a framing/camera feature (idk what it would exactly be called).

Nice one thanks kids! Big fan of this channel. Been subbed for years ( on my personal account) this may be interpreted the wrong way but. This channel reminds me a lot of early draw with Jazza. Right around the Larry era when he was coming over to yT from I m newgrounds... a actually enjoyed his channel much more back then. @@thehiphoperazed2864 yeah he was more based around drawing more than all forms of art back then. I first watched him maybe 6 years ago and I still love him. The guy is living happily now.
@@scrapanimation3813 yeah man he went from being "that fat smelly Morman" to the inspiration to millions of adoring fans myself included. I even used to enjoy Paladins and Josiah has been a huge personal inspiration to me outside of art even more than inside art. I understand why he does what he does and why he rebranded etc. And given half a chance I would likely do the same thing I am sure we all would no shade or judgment. But go watch the first few years of draw with jazza then watch something current. Just not my favorite cup of sauce anymore. That is why I appreciate Kesh so much. And hope one day my man and his team can achieve all their dreams and be forced to dream up new ones. Love seeing hard work and determination pay off for people.

I found your channel recently and i’ve been enjoying your videos and following the process of making the short animated film.
I think the movement looks good and the volumes of the drawings are consistent. However I think it would help to exaggerate the punches a bit more.
Think about the how you want each punch to feel when he hits the glove.
When a punch lands the force carries through the imposing object, so the coaches arm could snap back a little to show how much power he is putting into these punches.
Another way to sell the power of the punch is to smear the boxers arm so we feel the speed he is throwing his punches.
Smears frames are great way to show speed and it only requires a few drawings to create this effect.
I’m not telling you this is way you should do it i’m just offering tips that helped me when I started animating.
It all depends on how you want the scene to be interpreted by the viewer.
But from one animator to another i have nothing but respect for you and your team and hope the film is going well.

I just started watching more and more of your videos. Just beautiful work 😭 Inspiring me to animate more. (But to be completely honest I only want to do key frames like you do 😂. I hate cleaning animations and making it look 'good')

Hi kesh. Great video (mainly very interesting) I thought you could make a video where you draw characters according to words (for example: elephant, green, computer. So you draw an elephant that has a computer and is green) My words for you are: koi fish, mango sticky rice, and Thailand, Asia or Japan. I would be very happy if you filmed it ♥️

It's very cool 👍 I think to improve timing you can remove some frames and make it more exaggerated by the boxers pulling back before a punch and then fast movement and then the punch lands will be slow again (follow through)

I only made 2-3 animations which BTW are not more than10-15secs. Only to know that those would be called "jaggedy" in Kesh's language😭

I might be late with tips, but I would recommend checking the anime Ippo as reference. It's animated boxing series that has done a good job with the action, movement, angles and weight :)
