My two favorite rally cars, edible sound . . . nothing to match their individual beauty, almost ungainly design, and unquestionable ability. Driven by Alen, and his contempories, they still elicit respect, excitement, and reverence.
Those of us lucky to be alive and remember Group B mourn its passing. Like most things in the world today, the WRC is a shell of its former self. The drivers are nonentities, they are not household names, the rallies run Friday to Sunday, a max of 300kms, ooh wow, aren'tyou tired(!) and have 10 stages that are repeated. No classic rallies, no classic stages, it's all rubbish, all of it. I remember the 1985 RAC rally, 5 days and about 70 stages, plus many night stages.
I think Henri would have spanked his Lancia Delta S4 harder through his testing... not to undermining Alen's tarmac abilities.... he was a gravel god afterall...

As soon as I can rake up as spare million quid I'm having one of these as my daily driver.
