Its interesting to see the body work change. FISA wouldn't allow the rear wing see on the early cars which is why the homologated version was so much smaller.
I know how you do it, how you put the editing, how you put the music in and how you put it all together. But it can't be imitated, it's brilliant. Thank you for Group B.
Dude this is an amazing video I’m die hard Lancia fan and the Delta S4 was a game changing I was watching Group B back in 1980s as a kid Theses were extremely special cars It’s so sad that Henri and Sergio passed in 86 not forgetting other drivers too Henri would of been champion no doubt about it. I’m going to Goodwood festival of speed in 2025 as I’ve never seen a Delta S4 and I know that this cars will be there I love your content fella Happy new year and always keep up top work for the fans ❤
Thanks Luke. Goodwood is the only place in the UK your guaranteed to see an S4 these days sadly. Your right had Henri not had his accident. There would have been a very good chance of him winning the championship. I think he could have gone on to win in New Zealand, 1000 Lakes and Sanremo.
Well, the really FIRST tests were with the alleged "military vehicle", but the pictures here are OF COURSE absolutely GREAT, like everything here on the channel: Thank you SO MUCH for your work ✌️💪🏼
Correct the first test were held in private at Fiats La Mandria test track. The car with the camouflage paint was tested in July 1984 to try and throw off any spys that Lancia might be testing a new rally car. Once it become public knowledge that they were the car was then dark grey and tested with Lancia's film crew documenting it. Then came the first pre-homologation test on rallys which my video covers.

Lancia took rally so seriously. They raced 2 cars in Group B, and they developed two Group S cars. And they made the Integrale at the same time. I really hope they do well in their comeback.
There competition budget must have been huge. Shows how much money the Fiat Group had to pour into Ferrari in F1 and Lancia in Group B and Group C all at the same time.
All of us as fans we love this, I think the only feel we could have with this car is dirt rally v2, but as the documentary shows how it snaps from understand to oversteer it must be scary, the drivers in that time where something special!!! Honestly think about it, the cars where fragile in strength for impact but the driver would give 100 percent always!!!

@mampe8898 exactly...and how faster could it be with all the rest that I mentioned...I remember Henri and Markku complaining all the time about the tarmac suspension and brakes...

Modern top spec cars have been much much faster for quite a while, even the first R5 cars were faster than any group B car ever was.
Modern tyres and suspension alone would make the car faster and easier to handle. Active central diff would be a game changer on tarmac.
