This video is a great guide. I would say to DEFINITELY spend the money to get a real version of windows/ activation key. I bought one off of a site like this about 2 years ago and it worked until 5 months ago where I started having bugs and windows would no longer allow me to update. This was because Microsoft realized it was a false windows key and locked me out. I now have to buy a new version and reinstall a ton. Its not worth the hassle. Please just buy genuine windows. YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

I just built a new PC, have not done it in awhile and ATX case doesn't really have a spot for the CD Drive. Rather than trying to hook up CD Drive hanging on the outside and installing old school, I figured there must be a better way as technology has changed. Luckily I have some 16 GB USB drives laying around and can install this way. Thanks for the video and clear explanation.

This is the tool I used when I had to update windows on my old computer. I was on call with tech support and they walked me through it. It was actually a very difficult process until we tried this, because my version of windows was old enough that it was no longer compatible with the windows updater so it couldn't just update like normal. Every time I tried to update windows it would ask me to restart the computer but fail to actually apply the update. They had me restart the computer a few times to look at the BIOS menu (I think that's what it was) and to see what kind of motherboard I had, but a few of those restarts were failed attempts because my computer was basically shitting itself at this point. On the third attempt of doing the exact same thing over and over, just putting the usb drive in the computer and trying to get a fresh install of windows.... it finally worked. I told them the windows setup screen had popped up and the tech guy on the phone screamed "YES!!!" .... and it was smooth sailing from there. Lol
For anyone wondering, I bought Windows 10 Pro key from BobKeys in April of 2021, I built a new PC and forgot which site I used to purchase the key, and I found this video again. So safe to say, Bobs Keys is legit and I will be using it again right now for Windows 11 Home.

Would be nice to show what files got copied to the USB, that way if we have a boot USB drive, we can verify that it is indeed a ready boot drive. this would save the entire download process.

Hi guys, can you help me here: I've reset my gaming PC (HP Omen) but the only Windows I now have is on my laptop from my old work, which I still use as it has all Microsoft office (word, excel etc) on it. However when I downloaded the Media Creation Tool to a USB on it and hit run, since the Domain is my old work and I have no access to the login I can't go any further and can't create a new account... Is there a way around this?

Apart from all the rest of it. For starters UEFI or Legacy bios settings and what build version it is. That can have an effect. Then you have to deal with drivers!!! Device manager, Disk management??? But as far as the heading goes it should get windows on your pc

@@dallascharles3692 It depends what motherboard you're running and what the BIOS configuration is. The bootable media might still be corrupted as the above comment states, so I recommend formatting the drive before you install Windows 10 on it. Usually the installation of the Windows 10 installer will do that for you but I've had times where it doesn't. Good luck mate.
one thing i feel you should have mentioned is you should have gone over how to reactivate and alocate the remaining storage devices since you expressly recommended to disconnect the ones that wont be used as OS install, newcomers might be left with a "well now what" and simply unused extra storage
@@myst278 When you install a new drive, ssd or hdd, you will have to set it up in windows to be able to use it. Basically. This especially might happen if you install windows with disconnected drives because windows wont search and automatically allocate the storage that is not connected.

So I’ve had my pc for about two years now and my m.2 literally just quit on me with no warning. I was able to get it working again long enough for me to download a program that tells me the health of the drive and it said only 2 percent of its life was used. Or maybe I misunderstood and it said there was only 2 percent life left… lmao either way that same day the pc restarted and went into the bios automatically because my OS was installed on the m.2 so now my pc is a brick. As much as I know about building computers and trouble shooting issues I’ve never once installed windows so I appreciate the video and step by step instructions.

for anyone who accidentally installed the wrong version of Windows, don't worry. Nothing on Windows will let you fully reset to the point where you can redo that, but your bios should let you completely wipe and re-partition your hard drive. It's probably different depending on the bios, but it works so don't worry you're not doomed
@@D3C0Y it went exactly the way as in this video. But i had already the booter-USB plugged in and i did not had to go to BIOS and us any boot menu and it automatically started installing windows. Though be careful cuz the download will take time (not sure if it depends on your network speed or Microsoft just limits the speed for that) and in my case i had to redownload the thing cuz there was an error near the end. It can be annoying when you download the thing and at the end it says "LOL nope, do it again".

If it says can not be used on this drive click delete on a primary drive and it will be unallocated and it worked for me

Windows 11 can't handle Adobe produtcts... Crash and freeze. With Windows 10, Adobe runs like a dream!

Just look on marketplace or OfferUp someone near you will have a fresh usb box
no mate oem keys will register in ur motherboard but if u upgrade ur motherboard it will go
I bought the windows operating system and theres a dvd, I was expecting a flash drive it’s 2022….I don’t have a cd drive what foK do I do with this frizbee? How do I get windows off that cd onto a flash drive.??

this actually really helped me into buying a windows key for like 10$, instead of spending 200$ for a Microsoft scam.

So I’ve had my pc for about two years now and my m.2 literally just quit on me with no warning. I was able to get it working again long enough for me to download a program that tells me the health of the drive and it said only 2 percent of its life was used. Or maybe I misunderstood and it said there was only 2 percent life left… lmao either way that same day the pc restarted and went into the bios automatically because my OS was installed on the m.2 so now my pc is a brick. As much as I know about building computers and trouble shooting issues I’ve never once installed windows so I appreciate the video and step by step instructions.

@@exoticc-lp1sp Not that I have tried. Though a friend of mine helped me activate windows (all it really does is removes watermark) somehow, but I don't recollect which way it was done...

When finish downloading it says restarting then it goes to a screen with a blinking underscore at top left what do I do?
Then I wait a minute then it goes to the same screen where it says windows setup with the language and stuff

for anyone who accidentally installed the wrong version of Windows, don't worry. Nothing on Windows will let you fully reset to the point where you can redo that, but your bios should let you completely wipe and re-partition your hard drive. It's probably different depending on the bios, but it works so don't worry you're not doomed

How did the installation go? I'm about to try this tomorrow on my new PC.
@@D3C0Y it went exactly the way as in this video. But i had already the booter-USB plugged in and i did not had to go to BIOS and us any boot menu and it automatically started installing windows. Though be careful cuz the download will take time (not sure if it depends on your network speed or Microsoft just limits the speed for that) and in my case i had to redownload the thing cuz there was an error near the end. It can be annoying when you download the thing and at the end it says "LOL nope, do it again".
