I've been struggling with this for ages. All the exercises my teacher gave me didn't work and only made my hand cramp. Now I tried this for about 10 seconds and the improvement is already mind blowing. I can just imagine what a bit more practice can do. You saved me so much frustration! Thank you!

My pinky physically cannot trill. It won’t even move when it needs to. Is this a cramp?

Not sure... it could just be that your finger needs step-by-step practice. Start trilling very slowly, but regularly. A metronome can help. Do it that way for a few days, always slow, then start increasing its speed, step-by-step. That should help!

Virtual Sheet Music thank you so much. Actually i realise that I can trill no problem if I’m just doing drills but my pinky seems to freeze up if I’m playing a fast passage and it needs a trill. I’ve been thinking of just switching fingers for it or maybe I should keep trying.
