Im currently using an Arc B580 in an HTPC build with a 5800X3D and its proving itself a great little pc for gaming in my loungeroom ! TBH thou, you can cheaply upgrade to a 5700X3D in an AM4 build or build a cheap NEW AM5 pc setup with a Ryzen 7500F or 7600 and get the full performance of the Arc B570/80 gpus. If you're on a much older system then the aforementioned cpus, anything more than a RTX3050 or Rx6600 is overkill! So for NEW PC builders or those on AM4 who are upgrading their cpu (to X3D cpu) the Arc series is a very good option .... but those who arent upgrading their cpu and staying on an older system, just get an Rx6600 or RTX3060 or 4060.
@OutDoorGeekes probably. But price per performance on a budget build with an am4 board and ryzen 5 3600 currently, it's a huge leap. At least I hope. I'm new to all this. I put $40 into 32 gb of ram over 16. $150 into 5700x3d over 3600, and $225 on the b570 over a 4GB older card. If i have time i hope to see how performance changes in the old ram and chip vs the new one when running the intel GPU on both setups to see if it was worth putting $200 into cpu and ram in hopes of significant increase in performance of the b570. So we'll see i guess?
i have a question. i have a 4060 do you think this is a worthy upgrade for the extra 2 vram . as new games coming out more are becoming vram hungry ? thinking if i should buy the b570
If you already have a 4060, it wouldn't be a good idea to upgrade to a B570 just for 2 GB more VRAM. You would be better off holding off for a while by just turning down game settings a tiny bit, waiting for more substantial improvements in that price range, or, if you want more performance now, upgrading to a GPU like the 7800 XT, 7900 GRE, or 4070 Ti Super, all of which give you massive gains and much more VRAM.

@@michaelthompson9798 going from 3600 to 5700x3d and 16 to 32 ram over here with the b570. Hoping that's a good combo.

@ Sell your old parts and try to save a little more to buy an rtx 2080 or higer since those are cheap these days
