In Sydney my brother is super impressed with his X Trail E Force Ti. So quiet and responsive plus well finished and equipped. In Australia we only get the 5 seater in the E force but we do get a 5 year warranty.
Got a UK spec E-force Tekna plus with added huge opening sunroof on Motability 01 March 2024. We are both amazed at the quality, practicality and carrying space! After ten (great) years with two BMW X1's, fear not this is a truly excellent larger vehicle, provided you do not require a usable 3rd row of small kids seats. No silly gimmicks, simply superb, Nissan (never owned one of any kind before)!
@ononewheellad the tekna isn't on motability anymore, you only get the lower 2 trims which arnt very well equipped. It's a shame because i really wanted one of these.
I recently bought a new X-Trail Ti-L AWD hybrid in Melbourne Australia. This is the top of the range model which includes most of the optional features of the UK Tekna+ model. Very impressed with its smooth power delivery and quiet interior. Feels very premium too with the chestnut tan interior.
That's really tricky actually. I have a review of the Sorento on the channel but it is about to be replaced. I've had both for a week. I think to live with day to day, this would probably be the easiest choice. I really like the E Power hybrid system, and the interior is more user friendly. The Kia has a bit more tech and modern features, but I think if I had to pick, I'd buy the X Trail.
@@ItsDanLatham Yeah. Both cars are looking great, well built and very functional. Thanks for your opinion, always something to consider 🙃 Isn't the X-Trail noticeably smaller in terms of third row seats, trunk size etc?
@@DFD1 The third row seats definitely. But I suppose a lot of buyers probably will be buying mainly for the overall cabin size as opposed to third row specifically. Kia is better for hauling 5+ people.
@@DFD1 take a look in person if you can! I'm sure you'd be pretty happy with either, neither are a bad choice at all but you definitely have practicalities to consider beyond the overall driving experience!
Thanks for the kind words! I have a Qashqai E Power next week, I'll see if they can lend me an Ariya soon after. They gave me the option of having the Ariya first but, I'm trying to cover the more common cars first to help channel growth!
I think mostly to appeal to people who don’t have home chargers. I think for some people it will provide a stepping stone between someone’s ICE car and a full EV.
i have a ev i charge at night at home while asleep 7.5p per KW, thats over 300 miles per gallon (equivalent) oh and no poison comes out of the exhaust...no exhaust.
@@ItsDanLatham i have bmw i3 with a range extender which i can plug in to charge (cheap) and never needs public charging... alas no longer made but the mazda ev has the same rex system but not as good..

Some car to get via motability.
Wow.. Motabilty car..no wonder counrty is screwed waster

Nice spec! Glad you’re enjoying it.
How’s the fuel consumption? Planning to upgrade my nissan qashqai into xtrail but worried about fuel economy.
Great car!! Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks Dan. Interesting and fair review. Would you pick this over the new Sorento?

Any chance you'll get a Nissan Ariya to test?.
You certainly do seem to go through all the points in your tests/reviews.
Much appreciated.

I wonder why Nissan went this way as in the type of hybrid power train.

@@ItsDanLatham My stepping stone, pick one up next week, your to the point presentation really filled me with confidence.
@@JI7NKJ Glad to hear, I hope you enjoy it!
@@JI7NKJ Great! keep on polluting.
Forgot to mention Tekna models get matrix headlights. Nissan have tuned the E Power system so it doesn't spin wheels! Not like the muppets at MG!
Its very well engineered!
epower expensive polluting and expensive to run.
just get a tesla....
Generator is quite noisy. I bought 4wd stl
No the petrol engine is noisy.
El Hyundai Santafe y el Kia Sorento son más grandes y competirían con una versión híbrida pero del Nissan Pathfinder ‼️

Ideally people would charge at home, but a lot of people can’t based on housing unfortunately so there needs to be a big overhaul of infrastructure

It's not cleaner than an ev so it's not better
Yes and not as efficient as the RAV4 hybrid and Honda CRV hybrid.
and it costs more to run.
@johnmartin7158 I drive the Qashqai e-Power and regularly get 62mpg. It's a cross over technology, a stop gap between a full EV and ICE TECHNOLOGY
