even tho my drz was stolen and i have a husky 701 now with the power commander and leo vince exhaust and open intake i look at this drz build and just drool over it haha sick build my dude
Thanks. She's come a long way. The design of the steering handlebar lock is definitely a weak point. I do take a disc lock with the DRZ being easy to steal. 701 great engine power.
Nearly as nice as mine 😉 . Tried the Acerbis tank but went back to Safari. Bigger, fits better (horn and radiator braces fit) and extra 50 plus klm range and protects the radiators so braces aren’t really needed but if you have them just use them. Personally wouldn’t bother with exhaust or wheels unless they are damaged. Great bike. Stand and clutch switch delete is easy without buying a plug but whatever works for you. Spring upgrade is essential and go heavy on the springs you won’t regret it if carrying some gear. Use a 15 tooth on the front or if you want to tour buy a Tenere 700. Best thing to do with a DRZ is spend a couple of days and about 2k getting it sorted then enjoy. B&B rear rack is definitely worthwhile. Case guards are essential. Suzuki bash plate and rad guards are very good too and used to come with the bike before COVID. Best bike for serious off-road 400k per day rides not carrying camping gear but can easily do that if you want to fight the weight. Decent bars and bark busters, quad lock wireless charger for your phone to navigate. I use OSMAnd app. It’s unreal but needs some practice. D606’s or Motoz Rallz for rubber. Re route carb breather hoses and upgrade to a lithium battery. Biggest purchase for me was the Seat Concepts seat. Soft panniers are fine if not carrying camping gear. We stay in Pubs because we like cold beer, hot showers and a warm itchy bed. Always carry tubes and tyre levers. Use a good bicycle pump. Small, cheap and always work. I carry a 1/4” t bar with 8,10 and 12 mm socket and the genuine Suzuki tool kit has what you need for wheel removal and chain adjustment.
You should come and do some water crossings with me to test out the pug😏😉 and yes I have left my stand down when taking off more times than I care to admit😅stay safe kids👍

Effective and simple Mate, great looking bike and that seat looks comfy 😎
Thanks. Sargent's Seat highly recommended. It passed the riding 700km in one day test.
