Hey brother. Do I need to file for the “same” license as a skilled or non skilled business if I want to start a “homemaker” business? AKA a “non contact senior companionship business” where we ONLY provide companionship, cooling, cleaning and picking up groceries. We so NOT assist to get dress. We do NOT assist with showers, or anything thats has to do with us putting out hands on the patient. It is STRICTLY companionship.

What is the aspect ratio for employees/customers? How many customers can one employee take care off?
Direct care givers or care coordinators?
Average patient is 30 hours a week so 1 care giver is about 1.3 patients but all depends on patients needs case mix difficulty location etc.

@karl I’m looking at launching in a market with 40k seniors, 2 major hospitals and a handful of senior care centers. There are already 18 home care agencies in the population of 400k people. Would you consider this a crowded market?
One in 5 will be seniors by 2030 so 40k seniors will double in the next 7 years. Work the market and differentiate yourself
How much does NY pay per hour of service? private, Medicaid, long term care etc
Medicaid depends on the county and is the worst paying can be 16-22/hour. We barely take direct medicaid it's awful. LTC 26-28 private 26-32. All depends as I mentioned before on county. If I want to open offices in different states do I have to have the same EIN number or different EIN for each state. Do I have to pay taxes to each state if different office is not located in that state. California charges a lot of taxes higher than other states so I want to open on east coast. I don’t want California involved with my new office in Money I make in Ga
