I appreciate the wealth of information you offered for free in this video. I have been contemplating starting a Non-Medical Home Care Agency & eventually venturing into Home Health Care. Not only is it in demand in my City but I possess 20 years experience working with the Elderly as a C.N.A & 7 years experience in Home Health as a Licensed Nurse. As I research more on this kind of business, it is becoming more attractive offering a chance for personal & professional growth. Thank you for the nuggets you've shared. You have a new subscriber.

I’ll start off by thanking you for sharing this content. I’m an entrepreneur who’s in the initial stages of getting started in the business. A series of unfortunate circumstances forced me to place my father in a nursing home. I don’t like the care that he receives or the process and procedures that traditional nursing homes operate under. This whole experience has motivated me to change the industry by offering an alternative. It’s also a plus to see people who look like me achieve high levels of success in an industry that I aspire to successful in.
My background is tech but my future mission is to help the elderly and the busy families. I am currently setting up home health care now and thank you for making this video!!
First, may God increase you for sharing this knowledge. I am grateful for you sir. I didn't know where to get started but had an idea of what I want and do not want. I had racked my brain and sometimes when you think too hard, we tend to overthink ourselves to insanity. So yesterday I broke up with my thoughts until they behaved. We have been a home care franchisor for over 13 years. Unless you know how to write policies and procedures and you understand state regs and laws, I highly recommend that you look at buying a franchise. $50K for a consultant is less than a franchise fee.
I am not paying 50k for the consultant. its 50k including all fees and the consultant as well as office spaces costs. I have never looked at the franchise model as an option, if I did it would be to start my own. What is the name of your franchise and where are you based wouldn't mind sharing that as an option for the viewer.

Excellent content!! I started my own nursing agency many years ago, but I could not figure out how to get funding, so I was my only employee for 1 year. I loved it, but I was so busy working 12 hour shifts 5-6 days a week, I didn't have time for family. So, I decided to close my agency until I could figure out how to finance payroll, which would allow me to have a better work-life balance. After a lot of research, I found a couple factoring companies willing to fund my invoices. However, I unfortunately convinced myself I needed to complete my bachelor's degree first, so I did that. After that, I convinced myself that I needed a Master's in Healthcare Administration, so I did that. Seeing a trend here? LOL. Some people call it "analysis paralysis," which is usually true for me. Whatever it is, I think your clearly detailed roadmap, will shake me out of it!! Can't wait to watch your nursing agency video because that's where I want to start. Thank you!!!

You have given valuable information, I have a home care agency and I’m stuck in the process of transitioning to a skilled home care agency. I am located in PA and I'm having complications with the application process. I received a denial letter because I lacked a medical director. I have a nurse director but really don't understand the importance of a medical director as well as a nurse director. I was told that the medical director needs to be available for meetings by a company that helps build agencies and thats all. I just wanted to verify what exactly the MD is needed for.
Thanks for the video! I am also an EMT -P. What a good video! Do not stop growing but don’t be discouraged if you don’t go public. Considering that there are roughly 6000 companies that trade trade publicly Only 6 are African American owed companies We still have a long way to go😮
Thank you! I learned a lot on this video. I think the biggest things is building your clientele and relationships with local communities. Can you talk about that?
Yes this is true, the biggest hurdle for most is the costs. In a state like NY you either have to be meidcaid eligible meaning earning less than $825/month or have insurance that covers, otherwise its out of pocket. Medicare only covers acute homecare and skilled home care needs. Wonder if a broader LTC plan will emerge on a national level through medicare but I doubt it.
I really appreciate this information. Thank you so very much. I've enjoyed a career in the field for quite some time and am preparing to get to the next level.
I am in New York and I want to open my own Homecare agency , I am tired of working for people who and want to help and am passionate about senior care !! Thanks so much !!!

Hello Karl specifically what would be the best avenues to raising money for your home health care startup expenses? (If I am the main investor) not Alot of people are willing to invest $25k to $50k. Is developing business credit be a good avenue?
You have to find other people. Most people are not investors nor do they have $50k to roll the dice on you. What you need to do is surround yourself with new people. First start with a list of people you know directly that can invest in the form of a note/loan and how much you feel they can invest. Then contact them and pitch them on the concept, try to get commitments. After you have the verbal commitments, target angel investors. Google angel investors in your state or city. Go to their events and again pitch them. They will be looking for shares in your company but may also do convertible notes. Don't make the mistake of taking money from whoever for whatever just because you want to start - you will regret it. Set your financial goal, create the list, raise from friends and family first as debt, then angels for bigger money. Once you have all your commitments do your capital call and make it happen. I will have a future video on this topic. Probably in 8-12 weeks.
Hahaha awesome. Whats your timeline for getting started and what city? Also make sure you check out my channel that is entirely focused on healthcare entrepreneurs
@@Karl__Pierre mainly investing for 55+ communities and rentals. I want to learn and focus on wholesaling though. In the process of figuring out my niche as I am a beginner. I plan to get my RN license within 18 months. I will def keep in contact. Thanks!
When hiring DON’s and Admins as a non-medical startup company, what are your recommendations in terms of hiring status(i.e full-time/part-time, salaried/hourly, etc), especially with limited funding? If you’ve answered this question in another video, please feel free to refer me. Thanks!
Will do! As I start to raise capital I will do episodes on that process showing getting bank financing, raising money from friends and family, raising money from VC funds that way people can see all the methods and follow in kind. Just make sure you're subscribed with the notification bell on so you don't miss any of it.
Will do. I've seen there's alot of people who are in the same boat and those in the industry tend to be super tight lipped about how to navigate the industry and for that reason I'm showing it all. Also going to do similar with starting a staffing firm/nurse registry.

Thank you so much for this presentation. I learned so much. I want to open a home health agency in MA and I didn’t know where to start. I have two questions: 1) do you have a consultation firm you would recommend? 2) do you have an angel organization you would recommend? Thanks
We might be able to assist on the startup, as far an angel investors they don't generally like to fund startups with no traction. Here's what I suggest visit my consulting site www.passiveworkforce.com and request assistance or you can book a consultation call to talk through the plan
Great information. I really appreciate it. I have a few of questions. 1. Are you interested in expanding into California? I am a start up agency and already licensed. 2. How would you recommended I go about obtaining a laboratory waiver. In California you need an MD to obtain it. I don’t know any MDs. Should I just find one and approach them? 3. What’s the standard payment amount if they agree to do it? Thanks in advance.
Hi Sheri congratulations. I think you've answered your own questions. You many not have to pay anything and it's best you start building relationships now. At present we are only looking to acquire HHAs that are doing minimum $5M annually

YOU ARE A NOBLE MAN AND I ADMIRE THAT YOU'RE INCLUDING YOUR MOM. THAT IN ITSELF IS A BLESSING TO YOU. ALL THE BEST!
In NY they are not issuing any licenses. If you need to talk through your options I suggest booking a consultation through my website www.entplife.com

@@Karl__Pierre Does the Director of Nursing have to be a RN?
You have given valuable information, I have a home care agency and I’m stuck in the process of transitioning to a skilled home care agency. I am located in PA and I'm having complications with the application process. I received a denial letter because I lacked a medical director. I have a nurse director but really don't understand the importance of a medical director as well as a nurse director. I was told that the medical director needs to be available for meetings by a company that helps build agencies and thats all. I just wanted to verify what exactly the MD is needed for.
Hi Ashley, medical director is a physician on your team to advise from the MD perspective...you need one.
Am in Canada and looking forward to starting my healthcare agency. I would need more help from you. Thank you for sharing. Subscribed
Great good luck on your journey
Thanks for the video! I am also an EMT -P. What a good video! Do not stop growing but don’t be discouraged if you don’t go public. Considering that there are roughly 6000 companies that trade trade publicly Only 6 are African American owed companies We still have a long way to go😮
Thank you! Will do!
Thank you! I learned a lot on this video.
I think the biggest things is building your clientele and relationships with local communities. Can you talk about that?
Watch my most recent live on home care and you will see me talk about that for 30 minutes.
Yes, there is a lot of need for home care.
Thanks for watching
Hey how is it getting on
I am in New York and I want to open my own Homecare agency , I am tired of working for people who and want to help and am passionate about senior care !! Thanks so much !!!
NY isn't issuing any new licenses. You will have to partner up with an agency or purchase a license.
This was awesome! I appreciate you taking the time to educate us on the process!! God Bless
Thanks for the kind words, where are you looking to get started!
ENTP LIFE whats your first name?? I live in Indianapolis, relocating to Las Vegas in a few months. Plan to launch there. I’m an RN starting graduate school in July. I’ve just started my research and want so badly to get my business going there. Your videos are the bomb!:)
Hi dear, thanks for all the information you are sharing .I have been licensed to provide non medical homecare services in Indiana , however? It has been very difficult for me to get clients, so what is the best way to get clients.I have also paid with companies like care.com, agingcare.com with no success, pls help me...
My biggest set back is how to raise money? I’ll be graduating residency soon and want to take this business head on
You have to ask for it. Start with people you know then strangers
Thank you so much for this informative video, many blessings to you.
Thanks Tasha, Many blessings to you too. Where are you looking to start, and when?
Wow! This was great! It’s more to it than I imagined. Thank you! I need at least 1mil. To start…I was think hospice in Texas. There are tons of new business and competition is steep…hard to keep patients in one area and it’s a huge state
Hospice is even more complex. I would recommend starting with a Nursing Agency.
Updates on this would be appreciated as well.
Going to be a weekly series. My expectation is to gear up to 3 videos a week. Home Health Care focused, one real estate focused, and the final any of my interest that I feel like sharing which will be just about anything
Oh wow I’m in Florida too! I’m happy I came across your video
Where abouts?
On ground zero with my idea so going to be watching a lot of you!!!
If you need help you can work with my consulting company
What’s the best consulting company that you would recommend... thanks for the info
Hi Esther. Shoot me an email through www.ontimeits.com to discuss further.

I stumbled across your channel and I’m hyped, thank you, I’m in Cali, I’m using a cheat code to to form my agency I used a known consultant firm to prepare and submit my application to the state, if I could ask a question “what is the single most important piece of advice you would give, I’ll settle for one but will take as much as you’re willing to give…thanks
Start and constantly adjust
Thank you so much for this presentation. I learned so much. I want to open a home health agency in MA and I didn’t know where to start. I have two questions: 1) do you have a consultation firm you would recommend? 2) do you have an angel organization you would recommend? Thanks
We might be able to assist on the startup, as far an angel investors they don't generally like to fund startups with no traction. Here's what I suggest visit my consulting site www.passiveworkforce.com and request assistance or you can book a consultation call to talk through the plan

Absolutely wonderful information GBY
Thanks same to you. When are you getting started?
Thank you Karl for your input on this information...
No worries Jason, if you're thinking about Healthcare Entrepreneurship also check Healthcare staffing as an option. Easier to start.
Thank very much for sharing your experience and knowledge of the business I really appreciate it🙏… I’m starting up my own RAS in Baltimore and I’m looking forward to open a home care business too, but I think I really need some help and good mentoring to get to this level ….please advise me on how
