I really like the doors actually, these details in different colors explain everything just by seeing it which is marvelous.

I think from an aesthetic point of view rather than having the usual red warning signs and telegraphs it could be intergrated into the graphics more. So instead of having the exclamation graphics it could be a quick portal animation so it looks like the enemies are jumping out the portal. Instead of having the red X for enemies landing maybe they could just hang in the air a little longer and then just use their shadow to telegraph where they are landing. With the dragon instead of a red line maybe it could shoot out a line of fire that does a little damage but also telegraphs the direction in which it will charge.

I got the notifications for one of these two videos and just as I finished reading the title the second one popped up, that was fun xD
Edit: Ben's pixel art is super beautiful as always!

I agree about what the dragon spits out. Was a little weird, and anticlimactic.(?) A somewhat color shifted version would be fine for me. I'd also have them do something else, to help differentiate them from slimes as well.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the game, as is often the case with Heartbeast's creations. I did notice that adding a touch more challenge might enhance the experience, given that the current gameplay feels somewhat straightforward.

Wanted to post my comment here about your game, i posted on Heartbeasts video too but i'm not sure if youll read them so here it is
"I agree with a lot of what you said, except for the whole upgrade thing.
The whole point of a game like this and powerwash simulator is to relax, maybe chuck music on in background and just hammer away at the dirt. So to implement a water limit defeats the whole purpose of the game, and makes it just tedious. However, in a challenge mode then yes by all means its fine, but never in the main game, The ability to upgrade guns idea i like, in powerwash simulator the best gun imo is a 3 nozzle gun that absolutely annihilates any kind of dirt, so if you can apply the same sort of concept here it could be real good.
Personally for me (bare in mind i don't know how far along in development this is) i'd add a checklist showing which buildings have been cleaned/not cleaned
The sparkle effect is cool, but the effect is too much imo, maybe tone it down a bit.
The whole can shoot between this line and this line is an interesting idea but seems like it'd get annoying real quick, and the circles are hideous. Maybe there's some other way you can implement that system
The whole UI is ugly, I know its probably only a placeholder but it's all blurry and just ugly. Same with some of the pixel art, like the water
Im not sure if these rooms are final rooms or demo rooms, but dirtville is alright, but nipon whatever it was seems kind of just like lets chuck every object we've made into this room for testing
It'd be cool to be able to buy special levels/areas with all the money you collect
Maybe add some sort of tooltip that when you hover over an object its show which piece it is and it percentage cleaned. That way you wouldn't need to run round shooting at everything to find which part isn't fully cleaned. OR possibly add in some way to see what's missing. I like the minimap idea, but show exactly which building still has dirt and not just "it's in this area", or you could go the powerwash route and have it flash a certain colour. Could make it a bit different by switching the powerwash for a UV gun that when you shine it on a building it changes the dirt colour purple
Anyways a lot rambling but it's actually a great game, I'm sure this is only the beginning and its gonna get a lot better. As massive fan of powerwash simulator I definitely wanna see it evolve"

I rarely agree with comments from players because a lot of players fully miss the mark when reviewing games that are still in progress. But your comment is actually spot-on. I agree with every point you made. Hopefully he reads this.

@@reallyanti thanks man. No one ever usually agrees with me hahah. Yeah hopefully he will and implements some of the ideas suggested here. Be interesting to see how it develops in time

      @@Callam001 Thanks the great feedback!
      * I will be improving the UI. The fuzziness is a bug, and I'll probably be trying a more minimalist chrome.
      * Agreed about upgrades, I want to keep it simple. Chill pixel washing.
      * The to-wash checklist is on my TODO list!
      * The first two levels were the first I made, so probably quite rough! There's a new Arcade level on Itch -- any better?
      * Definitely need stuff to buy! The game gives you money but nothing to do with it, that's a must-fix.
      * Dirt-finding tools are in the works for sure. I like the highlighting idea especially.
I agree with you and appreciate your thoughts :)

@@Valadria happy to see you respond and take feedback, i haven't seen the arcade level but i'll be sure to give it a try
Edit: So i've just played through it and i'm impressed, it's a nice spaced out level, good theme and setting. Some real nice pixel art there too. My 1 fault with it, and its a minor one is if you try walk between the arcade machines you sometimes get stuck/clip through the machines. Nothing major just a bit of a hassle trying to line up nicely with the gap.
I noticed a few new tweaks here and there too, like the total amount of objects per level displayed on the level select menu. For a small update it's definitely a great first step in the right direction

It almost looked too easy, a game needs to be challenging to be rewarding. That dragon could've had snails for fireballs, and telegraphs movements too early. (Intended as constructive criticism.)
