I would too, they would be awesome colouring in books in A3 size
He literally mentions the sketchbooks he has published that you can buy at 32:00
You gotta buy one now
Check the description, i hope you have 67,000 dlls
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.
Those aren’t sketches, that is fine art.
Mighty fiiiiiiine art :)

Dude-You’re art is literally amazing how are you not world renowned. U deserve way more respect than you already have.
i actually think its good hes underground. all gud music is nowadays and theres a lot of pressure from being mainstream that wud hinder his insane creativity
I know this is way late but this video in particular really inspired me to loosen up and just enjoy the feeling of playing with linework. My own sketchbooks are now overflowing with things that feel really like little pieces of me again. Thanks!
"It's OK, you're not a failure because of that".... "I don't have things to say about every page"

Luke Halasz i felt both of those lines right here❤️
I liked your comment so it would be 666.
Man I neglected my passion soo much. I focused just on practical aspects of my life because of believes that were forced on me. About the artists and art. About the uselessness of it. "Because what's the point? That won't bring you money, right? You should get a real job."
I stopped drawing for about 6 years. And here I am, looking at your drawings.
I feel so empty without it.
I got a feeling, like because of people like you, so many people get inspired to create something by themselves. And I am one of them. I'm grabbing my old sketch book right away. Thank you for that.
Edit: I recently started learning graphic design, and I'm drawing more frequently again, so thank you for all the support
mood
You can't neglect a passion bro
I feel the same way ❤️
True this life is too short to not do what makes you happy as long as you have that choice and option. Yea some passions are out of reach or may take longer due to financial reasons but at least try it see what u can do. Time goes by way to fast and one of the greatest quotes I've ever heard was "that no amount of money in the world can buy you a second of time" so it's not about chasing the money but chasing the passion.

It really is a shame these illustrator artists are so overlooked by many galleries. There’s an incredible potential to move the art world forward in a direction that gives more credit to illustrators.
"You are not a failure because of that." You are so sweet :3
I like to think you are from another planet. And you draw home cause you miss it so much. 🤔
Thats a really nice thought
Bely Blue certainly applies to Peter, but I love this as a quote all on it's own.
... Or maybe he's just unknowingly envisioning what the earth will look like hundreds of years into the future, when a horrific all matter eating space virus encompasses everything we know and love.
Both equal possibilities.
Its called LSD kids
That’s so cool
So happy seeing an artist that says "I like this one" about their pieces. So refreshing :D
I love your work!
I know I'm like that. I hate my work a lot of the time looking at small details that I hated . Or always thinking it's not good enough when others like it. I'd never finish work because I didn't like the way it was turning out . But up until recently I started to try not to care and just kind of sketch instead of trying to make it perfect. . It is more inspiring doing it this way and I'm now liking my work more.

Oh my. Peter, I am so unbelievably proud of you. Not only have you improved, but thanks to you, so have I. Your artwork has been a great inspiration to me, as well as your calm presence, one I can run to at the end of a terrible day, or as a epilogue to a pleasant one. You are truly an important part of the youtube art community, and I can clearly see that you know that as well. Well done, and please do keep it up. I'm not sure what me and my friends would do without you.
You mean a lot to a lot of people, and are the epitome of craftsmanship and perseverance.

Is such a beautiful heartfelt statement such as this “lol” worthy? No not really…
Mr. Shaw did not intend for his statement to stimulate amusement.
Your work is far more accomplished now. You stated that you want your drawings to have more depth (black areas). I genuinely believe that you have reached that goal especially in the stippling drawings. You may not have significant "black" areas, but I am truly amazed at how much depth you create with the the tenaciously loyal little dots that you lay down on the page. The curves, grooves, and valleys are strongly pronounced to the eye. I can almost feel your satisfied fatigue when I look at each dot... and I like it.
Good job, Peter! Good job.
Hopefully, your art will be showcased in a college classroom someday.
GKOALA7 a museum
Infernus16 True, but I have always thought that once you learn about an artist in a college classroom the value of the artist's work becomes more significance.

This is so inspiring. My entire life used to be pen and ink but I got extremely depressed and stopped. I’m better now and I want to draw. I’m waiting for money to get the right pens and paper since I’m living in Europe and all of my supplies are packed away back home in the US. I think tomorrow I will just grab any old pen and paper and just start. Sure, it would be so satisfying to have my preferred ink and pens and paper, but as you said, it’s better to just start. Thank you.

The negative space in your artwork is absolutely mind blowing. Everything is so interesting to look at in so many ways. The usage of media is also very impressive. I appreciate your talent so much!!
Weird and personal. like all sketchbook should be.

I love the juxtaposition of your understated tone and genuine positivity. Unpretentious, inspiring and funny. You address the awkwardness of admiring your own work and encourage us to be ok with it too.
The statue is called “ugolino” and depicts a scene in Dante’s infernal where count ugolino, locked in a tower with his sons, eats them to avoid starvation but then dies anyway and is sent to the lowest level of hell where he freezes in ice infinitely eating the head of the man who locked him in the tower
I'm happy I happened upon this channel because this artwork is just so surreal. I enjoy a lot of the excessive detail, it makes me wanna draw until I can't feel the pen in my hand.
Your drawing style and subject matter reminds me very much of a dear friend of mine that passed away many years ago. Your drawings look so similar to his to the point it made me shed a few tears to see them as I miss him immensely, however, at the same time it brought up many happy memories of us drawing together in the same notebook at the same time, so thank you for that.

Psychedelics for sure
When I was in highschool my art teacher gave us an assignment to pick a piece of music and draw to it , I chose Atom Heart Mother, I took a jiffy marker and doodled on this big 3ft x 3ft piece of paper for an hour and came up with something similar to peter's style, just black and white,(not as good as Peter) and showed the Teacher, she was like "good, now colour it", so for the next month I got to listen to Pink Floyd in class while I worked on my masterpiece coloring my DoodleArt with pastels, it took so long I expanded it to their whole catalog which I had at the time on tape or vinyl and some bootlegs. My art teacher was awesome.

Your pictures are so disturbingly yet inspiringly organic and downright biological. I can't help but to imagine the "Peter verse" in which all these drawings exist, farmlands built on stratum of swirls and doodles, endlessly floating boats, giant walls of what can only be described as teddy bears and brass instruments.

Your art is so stunning. You sharing your art, the progress and process, has been immensely inspiring to me. not just from a technical practice, but in improving my mindset with art as a process. “All my drawings are self portraits” *toaster*
This kind of gives me dali-esque, studio ghibli, steampunk, zentangle, psychedelic, goth and witchy vibes all at the same time. Just really draws you in. I really love this art. Makes me feel like he really doesn't sit down to create art but moreso sits down to empty his mind onto paper to not only catalogue it but also make room for something new. Which now reminds me of the movie dreamcatcher, the scene where he is in the different rooms in his mind. This is just so awesome. Glad I found you. Definitely subscribing. Your art really sends my brain on a trip. So cool
This book is great. Like that black colour and lines, lots of mysteries.

I cant even begin to describe how much i admire your work, I've seen this video countless of times now and everytime i watch it again I'm simply blown away all over again. Peter is the kind of artist i aspire to be, I want to be able to see the blank paper the way he does.
The way you love and caress all these pages is so wholesome.
Looks more like an artbook than a sketchbook tbh. Mad skills dude.
michael bardalez well Sketchbook is the name of the thing, some people do mad things in it, some people just sketch scribbles and thumbnails and others like peter and me just go to town on that book for 5 hours a day, sketchbook is just the term used for the book, the art in it is not always sketches
I don't know why but as you peruse your sketches, I'm somehow reminded of the Voynich Manuscript. It seems both purposeful and haphazard at the same time.
Everytime you show your rotring pens in a video i feel a bit sad because i lost my whole set in school ;(
oh noo :( I think that's an actual nightmare I've had
Arne Rottschäfer As an artist that sounds painful and expensive😣

I love art so much, especially art like this. I myself cannot draw but usually I can look at something and understand the different parts of them, understand how someone could draw it. But art like this is so ethereal to me because I don’t understand how someone could take this from their mind and draw it. It’s so amazing to me and gorgeous.
This stuff is absolutely insane how do u come up with it all. Wow!

Ooooof, someday I'll start drawing again and finish me own sketchbook....but sadly its not today
@Mashed Potato In A Box Why not today? Let's draw together. I stopped for 2 years and have been slowly trying to get back into it, haven't drawn for a couple weeks now... but I'm sitting myself down and doing it today. Let's do it together! Anything is fine, even just scribbles. Don't stress about it, just put some lines down. Even if you struggle know I'm probably going to be struggling right alongside you, but just keep going! You'll never know what you can do until you try.
well alright then :D, guess I found my will again
Mashed Potato In a Box I'm drawing right now while watching peter livestream on twitch! You should come hang out and draw with us.
Even these older videos are quite entertaining! Thanks Peter! I hope your doing well and enjoying your day.
Drawings full of expression and strength, everything seem so calculated and meaningful... suddenly "I don't have things to say about every page". Love that feeling of uncertainty
Hey Peter, I was curious to know if you see these drawing in your mind first, or have an idea of what you want before you start and replicate it onto the page or if you just go with the flow and whatever happens happens. I have trouble thinking of things before I draw them, it just seems too cloudy to actually see something I can bring into real life so whenever I draw it's just random patterns that eventually look okay but it's never clean and I feel like I could do more with the level of detail. Any tips? Thank you- P.S. anyone can reply
Same here, but I usually just go with my impulses. If something randomly comes at my brain full force I go for it! I never take my art too seriously, takes the fun out of it and makes you frustrated. So, just go with your clearest instinct, and if that's cloudy, just wait for something else. Some drawings for me take weeks for pure inspiration.
@@Udontkno7 yea, sometimes I'll start something and once it feels forced I'll leave it and add little things to it slowly. Its usually fun but I'd like to be able to be sure of what I want to make or at least have an idea.
How long does it usually take you to finish one drawing? And do wait till you finish one to start another one or do you do multiple drawing at the same time? Just curious
Briana152732 well I’m not peter but I have a similar art style, and it usually takes from 2h to 5h for the basic ones and with a really fine tip on a big piece of paper it can take 10 hours+. Hope this helps (also if you want to know what my art looks like my ig is @Siwel to see if it’s actually similar or am I dumb)
