I got mine preassembled... had a few minor issues, amazed that even though parts are interchangable with the MS440, the holzfforma is chinsey.... just not the stout quality. and carb was WAAAAYY out of adjustment. Once the few little bugs worked out, tuned the carb, this thing outcuts my big Stihl saws!!!!!! No joke! as much as I want to hate it... i have actually developed a special place in my heart for this little blue chinese thunder outcast! :-)
Mine runs crazy good too! I need to try it against my 441 and 660. My 440 is very stout. I also had carb tuning issues but I am pretty happy with it now. Did you change the spark plug out? I changed mine it was crazy how much I had to adjust the carb afterwards.
@@TractorTech I did not change the plug. but I did get an actual Stihl plug wire replacement, stouter, more secure in manufacturing, just better. Yeah the carb was waaay out! LOL. now she is a ripper! I put it up against my 361, is a super fast revving saw and thought for sure it would beat it, but that g444 beat it, out of the box before tuning even. thats pretty impressive. I'm actually happy with it, minus its few little quirks
I have heard the brand bearings are worth upgrading is that one of the oem parts you mentioned in the beginning? And also I don’t have access to a press what would you recommend for me to be able to press the crank bearing into place
I just rebuilt a stihl 044 n kept having a leak..found it was the clutch bushing..looked it service manual n there's an o-ring that goes in the bushing that's not provided..i put one in both stihl and farmertec and no leaks..fwiw..hows it runnin..gotta watch your other video now as I'm gettin ready to finish it up..thx again dude
I looked up the o-ring. It looks like it was on the early 044 only. This saw runs really good, too good for what it is. It is very impressive. I like it a lot.
I ordered it as a kit. Here they are. m.farmertec.com/Complete-Aftermarket-Repair-Parts-For-STIHL-MS440-044-Chainsaw-Engine-Crankcase-Gas-Fuel-Tank-Ignition-Coil-Crankshaft-Carburetor-Cylinder-Piston-Recoil-Starter-Muffler-Aftermarket-Stihl-MS-440-044-Parts-p228051.html
Chinese Junk not worth the time to assemble. There are more parts to replace with OEM Flywheel Ignition module Oil pump, pick up tube and filter Oil and gas caps Decompression valve Muffler Side cover Bar studs Tensioner Gas tank, and fuel lines ......Mine is only 3 years old and I'm sure I'll be adding to the list as time goes on
@@TractorTech aside from the muffler, side cover, bar studs, I didn't have much more than a full cord cut total before having serious issues. At the time I used it only occasionally. I remember the flywheel flew apart before I made my first cut. About a cord when the oil pump failed. Now days I use it professionally for my business. It does pretty good, but not worth what it took to get there.
Mantap sobat.sangat berguna untuk yang lagi belajar mengenai mesin gergaji 👍 sukses selalu buat anda 👍
Thanks!

Can you tell me what size socket fits the flywheel nut? I’m getting my timing wheel stuff together and will have a kit soon.
Thnx
I can't remember, it was something oddball. They are normally 13mm IIRC but I think this was 12mm or 14mm.
@@TractorTech right on. The stihl manual says 13mm
Did you have any issue w getting e-clip on clutch..i had to pull mine a little further for it to fit..thx for the video roger!!
Not on this saw, but on a 361 I built I did. I got a washer from stihl that was thinner than a the farmertec supplied washer.
👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
Is this a kit or did you have to buy everything all separately?
It is a kit.
@@TractorTech may I ask where do you get the kit? And do you have a part number for it?

Did you order the saw already assembled or did you get a kit to put together? I’d like to get an Unassembled G444 kit but can’t find one
