I've just been watching antler growth/shedding videos nonstop after learning that this was a real thing that happens to deer and your video is definitely one of the most comprehensive, and with the best action shots to boot.
The tree becomes extremely stressed, and ends up needing therapy from the squirrel psychologist. In the end, the tree realizes its self worth and then it happens again next year. Vicious cycle ☹️
"Chris Haugen - Morning Mandolin (Country & Folk)" I found it using an extension called "AHA Music Identifier" its not as good as shazam but it gets the job done sometimes
Eriya Ikejiri it’s probably like when you get a really strong itch and you scratch a little too over zealously until it becomes a bit painful/uncomfortable and then they wait and repeat process when they get itchy again lol

While I like the idea of the moose shedding...I really like the music. Whose the artist? And what song was that?
use shazam
Nice video ❤❤❤
Thanks 🤗
That's a really unattractive look when the velvet is partially stripped. I didn't realize how well vascularized the velvet was.
Does this hurt the tree long term

Does it hurt for them?
It itches

I assume it's like picking a scab?
gross and cool
So are they growing is that the cause of the shed
The shed happens when they are done growing
Nature's beautiful
It really is!
I love moose!
This is just new to me. Why they do that?
after a month, the antlers dry, and fall off, then, on the next year they grow again, all the cicle over again
When the growing process is done for the antlers the velvet dries up and itches do they strip it off
Oh, the itch. GIVE THESE GUYS A HAND!
It looks so itchy, I want to scrub their antlers with a brush
Are you sure the didn’t just kill some one
I am just finding out about this
I wanna help them 😂
May i ask, why they do that?
The layer of skin brings blood to the growing bone. When the growing process is finished the skin /velvet dries up and itches so they rub it off
Deer shed antlers business is banned only in india 1998
