Great vid! I think that one of the things that makes Morgana feel so good is the Death Hex -> Glacial Strike combo. No other arcanist can hope to have that degree of single target damage at astronomically high distances while maintaining all the things that make arcanists excellent. Looking forward to marksman video. It's definitely the class I've dabbled into the least.
Morgana is bae and carries my team in the Very Hard endgame. I didn't get any crazy damage items for Merlin, so he falls off damagewise, while Morgana with a few +hex items just effortlessly controls a whole battlefield, doesn't give a crap about resists, dishes some nice damage, and completely shuts down bosses. Incredibly useful.
Faire Knight isn't an Arcanist, he is more of a Sage to me. I guess he's a hybrid, but to me he's more of a Sage since hexes are meh. I think B tier is what I would give the Fairy Knight. I think the pure Sage and Arcanist classes are stronger as a whole. I think Ector is A tier, especially if you are Tyrant Christian. He is my only Arcanist and he is frankly better than any Archer or Rogue I have. He is part of my core team because the AoE is very important to have in spades. His ability to grant himself extra AP and CD reduction makes him a damage machine. Hexes are mediocre, especially against the lost, but the fire skills are super useful. The Arcanist class is frankly OP and tough to go without.
Ive seen a lot of video/opinion actually calling out Fairy Knight as one of if not the strongest knight in the game... his versality and ability to survive is amazing. I wonder at what difficulty people are grading those heroes ? Like on Normal yeah you will not care about suvability but on Very Hard its a different game
@@maxxalos1267 Wouldn't be far off the mark. I'm trying but I can't think of any time a marksman would get more mileage than a sage, arcanist, or vanguard in that same slot(I consider 4th slot a flex role). They have this weird sort of niche where they're helpful and overtuned super early on but drop off like a shit from heaven after level 5 all the way up until seasonal/lvl 15-20 gear. Doesn't help Marksman any that all their attack skills are shitty side-grades to just basic attacks. Aimed shot? Better off just attacking twice most of the time. Fire/Poison arrow? Basic attack with not great dots/minor debuffing. Compare that to chain lightning, leap attack, cleave, power attack, etc. They don't even have the passive steroids a vanguard does to help their basic attacks along.
@@JohnSmith-zf3yk Bit niche, but I find marksman with culling item is pretty useful against the lost as they have no trouble hitting any target if you give them enough yellow points.
Maybe Merlin should be the only S tier... then everyone pushed down by one tier. He's just too crazy. He could teleport, then drop an illusion, mind fog someone, burn several with fire dragon, then drop another illusion, then teleport back! It's just wild...
By the way you can guarentee any relic item in the game (unless its not in the pool) by save/reloading at the end of the mission when your shop/tower refreshes. For anyone who wants to do merlin carry.
Definitely an opinion that would go against the majority from what I've seen online. She definitely has the best single target damage imo since Dagonet's death hex spam can't actually kill a target.
Love your videos! Is it possible to get Morgana if you have already used 4 points in Christian tree? You need 13 to get her which means I would need 21 points to get there now.
I think so, but you wouldn't unlock her until very late into the game. Probably like after you've beaten the main story or close to it. Glad you like the content :)

Ideally I was wanting Morgana, but I have already started down Christian/rightful path so I’ll probably have Morgawse, Eckter, Boudicea and either white knight or Lancelot as my dream team due to my morality path. Does that sound good? If you unlock a hero later than you normally could will their level still be commensurate with the level of your party?
@@bvwalker1 hero recruitment have set levels so she'd be underleveled upon acquiring her. However, you should be able to power level her fairly easily if the rest of your party is strong enough to carry her. Morgawse is going to suffer pretty heavy from loyalty penalties if you're going rightful/christian because her alignment is the exact opposite. Everyone else you mentioned are quite strong and can synergize quite well
@@maxxalos1267 oh, I didn’t realize the penalty for Morgawse. I guess I should choose Merlin then and replace Eckter with him. I really wish I would have known more about morality before playing. It seems old faith/tyrant would have been better overall.
@@bvwalker1 old faith tyrant is overall my favorite alignment. each definitely offers different playstyles. I have a video kind of going over them in this regard that you may find useful

I go with Ector until i unlock Morgana. Both essential party members. I have no use for Merlin at all.

I've talked to a fair number of players that really really like faerie knight. His unique style is a big selling point

I'm looking forward to trying a Mordred 3 arcanist party on a few missions.
I just find running 2 Vanguard and a Sage is just so strong I've found it hard to deviate.
There are a lot of different team compositions that work really well I've found. If you like it and it's working then that's good enough
Sage is my favorite cheat code. Almost any comp works with sage support
I just look at it as: Nothing's in C for Arcanists because everything's going to be in C for Marksman. Equal representation is important.

I think sir bors is going to be S tier no doubt. With seasonal relics it make him a cut above the rest.
