I met a Sargeant who way at the start of his army career was apart of 23 Sqaudron, who went to Kosovo, and he always told us how friendly and welcoming the people were. Unfortunately later into that deployment his vehicle went over a mine and it almost took off his lower leg. You would have never off known. But I remember him explaining why running was a challenge and he lifted up his trouser leg and showed us his shin and you could see all the skin graphs and muscle damage.
My brother served there, he used to tell us, Kosovo felt like his second home, people are just amazing and so welcoming, he goes there at least once a year to spend time with his Kosovar friends. 👏

@milster The difference is that Albanians in Kosovo didn't have the right to have a referendum to choose if they want to be part of Serbia or Albania... if they had that chance then the results would be catastrophic for Serbia... meanwhile Ireland has the right to start a referendum when they want to choose if they want to be part of GB or leave GB and they massively voted to stay as the part of GB... Kosovo had an autonomy as the only right during the yougoslavia and then Serbia got that right from them and started killing them.. try to learn more about history rather than focusing and believing your own propaganda.
