- As a huge fan of Young Justice, the ending scene was very heartbreaking. As you may (or not) know Roy 'later named Will) Harper and Jade Nguyen have been dating each other since season 1, we learn in season 2 that they've been married and now have a daughter Lian but now in season 3 are seperated.
Sorry if this video isn't in HD, it's mostly because of my screen recorder that refused to work properly and bugged a lot :/
Before anyone starts saying, yes I do own a DC Universe account (even though I don't live in the US, I use a VPN and by God does it help a lot) and I am in no way planning on monetising these videos (as I suggest everyone to support the DC Universe as well as this show). Can't wait for Young Justice to be available on Netflix.
I might be posting other Young Justice videos as well as bts animated movies/interviews/deleted scenes. Next video might be coming up nxct week.
I like how they give Jade a conscious in this show because in the comics she was a genocidal psychopath who tried to kill Roy many times and uses their daughter as leverage over him whenever she can and didn't actually care about Lian beyond using her as an asset to manipulate or coerce Roy.

This moment is so good between Will and Cheshire because in Season 2 Cheshire was telling Will to be there for his daughter and now in Season 3 the roles are reversed where Will is telling Cheshire that Lian needs her mother.

Something is so wrong with Jade this season...we’ve never seen her show emotion and she usually backs away when she leaves instead of turning her back (like in her first encounter with Artemis or when she betrayed her dad in Santa Prisca)

Honestly, it makes sense. Sure Jade has been more criminally inclined than her sister or mother, but she's not outright evil like her father. She started out as a criminal more as an act of rebellion and for the thrill.
However, that sort of thing eventually weighs on someone whose heart isn't in it. More so when they get a taste of what it feels like to be honest, to not have to worry about being chased by the cops all the time and have a home to come back to.
Jade knows that now and wants it, but feels she can't be redeemed.
It's called talking to the one person you trust a bit more than everyone else. She backs away at first but then has to turn because she can't look at him and leave at the same time.
Everyone in the comments section saying Jade has "issues" or "demons" but from my point of view, Jade has an addiction. It became clear when Jade told Artemis that she'll always be _"Cheshire first"_ it meant that her criminal life finally got a hold of her. And now she's saying goodbye to Will with the notion that she wasn't cut out for parenthood.
Though the real question is what's the point in Jade having a daughter with Will if she's gonna walk out after a few years?
She loves Will and their daughter so much, she's willing to stay out of their lives no matter how much it hurts her because she believes it's the best and only thing she can do for them.

Their relationship in the comics was convoluted to say the least but Lian brought out the very best in the both of them, that’s why her death was so significant in the comics, not only because she was their baby girl but because of how it devastated the both of them :(
Jade in Young Justice is 3000% more sympathetic than her comic counterpart.
YJ Jade is a waaaay better mother than Talia. Yeah having your daughter grow up without you is sad but grooming your child into a heartless assassin/killer is worst. Jade at least was thinking about Liam future and how she wants her daughter to be her own person. While Talia is delusional thinking everything she doing for Damien is for his own good. Yeah she might have genuinely love Damien as a son but since she an assassin she shows her "love" though harsh training and cruel teachings. No wonder Damien turn out the way he did. His mom and grandfather make him think violence and killing was the only way to show his emotions

Alan Walkman it was between season 1 & 2 with the 5 year gap, Cheshire & RA had a thing for each other, and as you mentioned they had a Batman/Catwoman relationship type, they even married, however during those 5 years, RA was so obsessed about finding the real Roy Harper, that she had to « split » with him, she also retired but it seems that she’s back in action

Ya know, when I think back to how Jade helped Will get his act together, that showed she was cut out for family.
This relationship was doom from the start, it started from simple lustful attraction well mostly Cheshire forcing herself on to Will, then it slowly turn into something more but afterwards it later slowly burn out due to their differences in life styles and the dangers they have to faced as a hero and villain. Sure Will is not a hero anymore but that doesn’t mean the mask will forever stay off.
And for that reason,the love relationships between villains and superheroes will never have a stable or happy course. In neither case is the situation of these couples good or bad

after giving birth to Lian and becoming a mother, Cheshire did try to retire from a life of crime, but she eventually realized she was too deep and addicted to the whole assassin business, so she decided to return to being a mercenary while Will decided to retire from being Red Arrow and concentrate on being a dad

I don't get it. If Jade never wanted or planned to become a mother, why did she have Lian? She had options. She could have given her up for adoption or even had an abortion. But no, she decided to keep Lian, be a part of her life for a few years, and then, just decided to abandon it all. I will never be able to understand Jade's decision. First, she chose to have a child she never wanted, then, she chose to abandon her, saying that she wasn't worthy of being her mom, despite having done it for 3 years.

@@drymeee Everyone but them in the show at this point, Rocket teased Will about it and now Paula Crook has called Artemis on it. It would make sense if it happened whether the fans wanted it or not. They are both similar people dealing with loss in together and that breeds a bond. Whether it might be romantic remains to be seen.
@@trueblue6201 Their storyline technically is wrapped up already. Artemis have made it very clear she will only be there as his family, in other words, it's done. Even Artemis moved on, it won't be Roy or Will or whatever this dude should be called right now.

Why jade say goodbye to her husband Roy and her daughter Lian and left them
Because she vould not quit being a criminal and kept going back to that life. It is also likely some psychological issues that prevent her from thinking she deserves that life. Not to mention being an internationally wanted assassin does not make it easy to hide in a suburban neighborhood.
If they bring back kid flash this whole scene is pointless, the point was to bring Roy and Artemis together due to that they both have a common lose
