I definitely agree with your rankings, and also am glad you're a 4KIDS stan, that dubbing company deserves better, especially since the discontinuations of the 4Kids TV and CW4Kids blocks. I just wish the series had another Nick dub so that some of the 4Kids actresses would join the cast.
I can't help but wonder if they had the 4Kids actors actually listen to some of the Italian dialogue because that would explain why their cadence is similar
This is my long overdue comment from your loving and supportive fiancée. I am here to give my opinion on each of the five voices. To make it easier to read I break my comment up into sections. Without further ado here are my opinions on each of the five voices for Icy, Darcy & Stormy. *Thoughts for Icy's voices:* Larissa Olyanik's voice for Icy is giving condescending high school mean girl. That voice might work for other mean girls, but it doesn't work for Icy. She sounds to vapid, void of any Charisma or Charm. Way too high pitched. Erica Shroder's voice sounds like a poor man's version of Lisa Ortiz. It sounds like she is making an effort to be intimidating, but she comes off as a try hard and she sounds like a mix between Larissa and Lisa but also failing at being Icy. I am not quite sure how to describe what I am trying to say but I hope I make sense. Karen Strassman makes Icy sound older and not in a good way because she sounds fifty. She could have been ranked higher but whatever direction she was given was NOT good. I think with better direction and a slightly lower register she would have been a decent Icy. She feels more like wasted potential. Eleanor Noble could work as a younger Icy or at least an adolescent Icy because even women's voice changes with age. She sounds like Icy going through puberty. Her voice would get deeper as she gets older. Out of all of Icy's voice, I would probably fan cast her as Icy if Lisa no longer wished to do voice acting but she, like the rest of the women previously mention, do not hold a candle to Lisa Ortiz Lisa Ortiz, she is so amazing as Icy that when I did my fan casting on who would voice the Trix, Icy was the only one with one option while I gave Stormy and Darcy 2 or 3 options. However, when it came to Icy all my mind could go to was the one the only Lisa Ortiz. She is what Eartha Kitt is to Yzma, what Glenn Close is to live-action Cruella DeVil. I can honestly say there is absoutely no one better than her for the job of Icy. *Thoughts for Darcy's voices:* Becca Ordonez-Zagorin's Darcy voice sounds like an imitation of Kristen Chenoweth as Maleficent. She sounds cutesy and like she would be awkward around boys. That is the exact opposite of how Darcy is supposed to be. Darcy knows how to flaunt her stuff but with Becca as the voice of Darcy she would flop her stuff. Erin Fitzgerald's voice... Whoa... AWFUL. Talk about woeful! She sounds like a rich teenage girl who got told no after begging her parents to buy her a newest and latest phone or purse or whatever. She is just crying and begging in an overly dramatic voice on why she needs this new item. Which, again, doesn't suit Darcy at all. Lori Gardener actually sounds like she could have been a good Darcy but she flip flops between decent and just meh. It's not as terrible as the previous 2 but still not good. While I don't think she is great I think her voice is somewhat serviceable but it's not to the level of seductiveness that I would like for Darcy to be. Carrie Finlay's voice, again, her voice is serviceable, but not quite to the range where I would like her to be for a character like Darcy. I don't have much to say because my review of her voice is going to be very similar to Lori Gardener's. Jennifer Cody as Darcy sounds like a very bad Southern accent. Her voice does sound seductive and alluring but still not quite as alluring as it could be. She has a smoothness to her voice that the other women don't have. She is fairly decent and with the right direction, I feel like she could have been a good Darcy. Caren Manuel-Tackett is hands down the best Darcy. Her voicing both Stella and Darcy just shows her range. I love that her voice has a lower register than the rest of the women I mentioned on this list. While I was fan casting Darcy I put her down and Laura Bailey. Laura Bailey could give Caren Manuel Tuckett a run for her money and perhaps even surpass her in performance. But Caren is still amazing! *Thoughts for Stormy's Voices:* Anik Matern does not sound like Stormy at all. She sounds like Mrs. Puff gone rogue after she has had enough of Spongebob failing his driver's test. She sounds like a bitter mid 40-year-old woman who hates children. I am not sure who that character is but it sure as hell ain't Stormy. I am sorry Anik Matern, but you are not Stormy at all. Sarah McCullough's voice very much does sound like a middle school mean girl and way too calm. In my mind, Stormy's voice should have you on edge like she is ready to throw some tables or chairs. This Stormy sounds like she would trick you into getting a bad haircut that would traumatize you for the rest for the rest of your life. She wouldn't even have to get her hands dirty to play tricks on you and Stormy is the exact opposite of that. She would very much throw hands and be ready to fight dirty. Sarah's performance gives none of that. Reba Buhr's voice was okay as Stormy, but she was nowhere near the level of hot temperedness that Stormy should be. She was decent but, in my mind, Stormy has the temper of Shego or Live Wire. While she was better than the previous two on the list, her voice is still not up to par of what Stormy should be. Zoe Martin's voice was decent as Stormy but and maybe with a slightly better performance and better direction she could have been a great Stormy. However, she sounds like a child who just threw their crayons all over the ground and is getting even more mad after being told to pick them up. Kimberly Brooks after the specials could definitely give Suzy Myers a run for her money. I can't help but wonder if someone gave her a few critiques or she had better direction, but she made a great Stormy. I also feel this shows how versatile of a voice actress she is as well. I can feel her chaotic energy, all though it's not quite to the level of Suzy Myers as Stormy but it's pretty damn close. Suzy Myers is hands down the best Stormy with Kimberly Brooks following right behind. In my fan-casting I casted her and Nicole Sullivan. I mean Nicole could surpass Suzy as Stormy if she used her performance as Shego only without Shego's more sensible nature. Stormy is chaotic, and Suzy and Nicole capture her hot temper. With Suzy's performance I feel on edge which is how I want to feel when Stormy is on screen.
Tbh I grew up with the nick dub and to defend laryssa's performance. She at least sounded cold in the "do.i give a damn?" Vibe. Her name is icy so her sounding cold at least works. I could see what they were trying to do but at least its not empty or soulless
Tbh I'd cast the voice of cassandra from the tangled series because its both cold and more on the deeper sound.. For darcy I'd easily pick Cindy Robinson. Have her use her amy voice for when she's playing someone then SWITCH to her queen barryl voice. Her cinelume dub is where I decided to go off of. For Stormy I loved her having an aggressive gruff like her 4kids or nick dub voice.

I grew up and loved the 4kids dub. I just wish they would have been around to dub all the seasons, but without cutting out and rearranging scenes.
