- Hey everyone! I wanted to make an Icy, Darcy & Stormy 4Kids appreciation video because why not XD They definitely made the 4Kids dub super iconic and I feel like they deserve more attention from those who never actually watched the dub. Some of these quotes are too iconic to let pass by. I'll be making compilations for seasons 2 and 3 as well, and maybe I'll focus on more characters in the future!
I took all of the episodes from Varanda Of Vallisto on TH-cam, except for 1x08 which is from Bloom Winx!

I honestly hated when they became minions to other villains when they were clearly competent themselves
Well they didn't always stay as minions or henchwomen most of the time they were main villains of some seasons.

@@nataliawashington872 I agree with you besides they are ones of my favourite Non-Disney Villains and at the end of the 8th season they had switch sides with The Winx or reformed if you like.

As an italian who grew up with the Rai version I LOVE this version. They made them sound like teenagers who just happen to have incredibile powers. Your typical mean girls but with magic. So funny

Seriously i cant get over how iconic Lisa Ortiz is for Icy. She truly is the best Icy voice out there and according to the Unicorn of War, Lisa's performance is truly the closest to Icy's original Italian voice and I can see it......er, hear it. Not to mention Darcy saying "Who's my witch", come on, I can totally see Darcy saying that!

The 4Kids version of the Trix make it look like they're those mean girls at school.
Seriously I am loving the 4kids Trix! And Lisa Ortiz is the ideal Icy, alongside Caren Manuel for Darcy and Suzy Myers for Stormy! I live for it!

Yes since season 5 it's like they took the personality out of the trix. I miss the dialoges and funny moments. Now it is no more than 'how do we defeat the winx' 😐

I thought that the Trix couldn't get more iconic and yet they can! As an Italian I didn't know about this dubbing. It's really funny, although it's a little less dramatic than the original one . Like, I am living for the humour but at the same time it makes me take the Trix slightly less seriously as villains 😂 anyway I love them in every version
This version of the show is a bit more enjoyable to watch than the original English version because the voices are a bit boring at the beginning. Eventually they get much better, but this version is much better to watch for me!
@@WinxClubNewsflash yeah, the sassiness here is really great. The problem with the show is that the writing is pretty bad, especially in later seasons (after the 4th season), as if it was written for children below 6 years of age... This version fixes the problem and makes the dialogues much better

I like stormy's voice in this dub. She sounds grumpy
For a girl cartoon it was pretty violent and I fricken loved it, the world building was incredible and the storylines well developed too.
I am Italian but, in my opinion, the 4kids voices of the Trix do a very good job at delivering the arrogance and mean irony of the original. My favorite parts:
Griffin: I received a Number of proposals but none as disgusting as yours! A repulsive idea, revolting, despicable! In other words... IT'S THE BEST!

I really liked the voice actress for Darcy in this season Darcy's voice actress made Darcy sound like she smoked a f*** ton of cigarettes
She's got that 1970s hippie aesthetic, with the handleless glasses, and absolutely I *love* it, she's my favorite. 😄
In hindsight, it would've been neat for the show to lean into and have Darcy's powers revolve around psychedelic plants and hallucinogens, the whole Mistress of Illusions thing, it would be a nice counter to Flora as well.

After seeing a ton of the Trix across TikTok, I wanted to relive the good days and found this video. 4Kids dub really made them so iconic.
That said, I remember seeing the invasion of Alfea for the first time with my cousin and both us continuously cracked up over Icy at 12:09 lol.
Leading a huge army to finally crush all the people she despises and the way she says "attack" sounds like she is so bored and disinterested and would rather be doing ANYTHING else lol.
Still laughing when I hear it years later.

They were pretty competent in the first season, and then again in the 8th which I honestly wasn't expecting. I still don't get why whenever they ended up becoming henchmen or followers to the season's primary antagonist they were kinda made weaker or dumbed down a bit so the winx could save the day.
